Absence of customer support

I received from them an unsolicited email, about their Privacy Policy. I didn't recognise the name, but it wasn't impossible that I had perhaps a trialed a product in the past.

So I emailed them, asking them to remove my details and stop sending me unsolicited emails.

With no response after a couple of weeks, I emailed them again.

No response again.

How odd that a company that focuses on internet privacy and security fails to respond to emails about its own internet privacy and security failings.

A bad omen, I think.

Edit: I've just received this from support @ hotspotshield. com, whoever they are. It is not OK (not under UK data protection law, at least) to refuse to respond to concerns about data held. Honestly, it looks like their commitment to privacy and security is pretty much non-existent.

I recommend avoiding them.
