Good Experience
The recordings available were extremely useful, as although I didn’t attend any live zoom calls, I still learnt and gained the same experience as others. Approachable people, I would never be afraid to email in to ask for advice or help. Good for people feeling lost with apprenticeships.
The Apprenticeship experience:)
It was really informative extremely professional people and really went into depth about certain topics on apprenticeships that would be hard to get without an actual link to it, and provided people from a wider range of backgrounds to help inform us
Apprenticeship academy was a great experience
Was a helpful tool which provided everything I needed to know about apprenticeships. Variety of talks from past apprentices and fun tasks helping with the knowledge of apprenticeships. I would suggest it to anyone wanting to learn more about apprenticeships
A program worth applying to
I applied to the Apprenticeship Academy in hopes of boosting my chances of succeeding in the application process, and I definitely found more than what I was looking for. The program went through each stage of a typical application process, and gave tips and advice for each. We also had talks from current apprentices and their advice on securing an apprenticeship as well as a workbook that went with the programme to further consolidate our knowledge. Even after the programme ended, Jess went beyond and offered CV advice and ongoing words of encouragement. I am now pleased to say with help of the Apprenticeship Academy and Jess, I was able to secure a place on a degree apprenticeship program with a top tech company. I cannot thank Jess and the NGTU team enough for creating this program. For anyone who is looking to boost their chances of securing a place on an apprenticeship or is just looking to learn more, look no further than the Apprenticeship Academy.
Amazing resources!
The Apprenticeship Academy is a great resource for students, but also very helpful for anyone who wants to help support students with finding, applying and interviewing for apprenticeships. The weekly tasks help keep the sessions interactive, as well as helping the students to put thought into their strengths, challenges, and what they actually want to do!
The Apprenticeship Academy highly recommended
The Apprenticeship Academy has been brilliant. Perfectly pitched and so informative. The clips from apprentices and employers really added to the course. Everything is clearly explained and the students are fully equipped to search and apply for opportunities now as they come up.
I met with each participant for a follow up 1:1 guidance today and students are clearly more confident to apply and have greater commitment to pursue an apprenticeship. Thank you so much Jess. I can highly recommend this course to all schools.
The experience I wish I'd had!
A well organised and informative experience for students. Jess has created a great programme which really explores apprenticeships as a viable option, unlike my experience at school/college where full-time university was the only route. The integration of industry experts and current apprentices into the programme is great as students have an opportunity to ask questions and receive honest and up-to-date answers.
Jess is extremely welcoming and supportive and it is clear in these sessions and across social media that she has a real passion for the academy and apprenticeships in general, and it is so refreshing to see.
Highly recommend to students and schools!
I would highly recommend the Apprenticeship Academy to anyone considering an apprenticeship - the course covers all bases in the application process which gave me the knowledge and confidence needed to apply for apprenticeships. Jess creates such a supportive environment which makes sessions fun. The booklet with optional homework tasks was so useful for accountability and to consolidate learning after each session. I would also recommend the course/working with Jess to schools as it would really benefit students.
