OK for small jobs if competitively priced

I agree with the previous comments and reservations but the job I requested was completed as required and we negotiated a reduction to account for the fact that it was a cash job so whilst I would not use them again as I prefer to use regulated builders, I have no complaint.

This is a cowboy firm at its finest

This is a cowboy firm at its finest,
I always thought I could spot a scam / sham firm a mile off but the printed leaflets the multiple office numbers and free phone number all route to one mobile to give the impression they have multiple sites, even have a website to help make them look more legit. If you get one of their flyers through your front door be very aware.
The work we agreed was not done to standard and was in fact quite shabby, I got scammed 100% I won't describe the work for fear that they will come back to mine and cause problems, lets just say they are from a certain community and I worry about repercussions.
They are on none of the websites they claim to be Trustatrader - No, Confederation of Roofing Contractors - No
A look on Companies house will show you they have had 3-4 different company names in the last 4 years registered with the same company director A Rogers but what they do is dissolve the company just before they have to file their taxes then re-open the company a month later under a slightly different name be it ARogers & Sons or A,Rogers and sons or A Rogers and Sons registered at the same address but different name for 2 years then a different address in the last year.
be warned if you consider using them make sure it is put in writing confirming the work to be done make sure everything is done through the books and pay no money until you are completely satisfied with the work and do not hand any money over until you have a receipt with their company details on it, (not that I think this would help with this lot)

Claim to be rated on TrustATrader but…

Claim to be rated on TrustATrader but have not been with them since February 2020. Requested a quote for some roof work but wouldn't commit to putting anything in writing. Other comparable quotes £1500-£1700 for the work, A Rogers & Sons? £5,300 ... 'nuff said.
