A lovely experience at Austen & Blake

A lovely experience at Austen & Blake. You can choose your stone, your setting, the band. And the clarity and colour, the metal, the shape! The options are many. There’s no rush with the lovely staff who make sure you’re fully satisfied with your choice, then they put it all together for you and your order is sent off to be made by craftsmen. I ordered an oval diamond and a dainty diamond eternity band and they are really lovely. Just what I wanted. I love them and would highly recommend Austen & Blake.

Michael at Meadowhall is fantastic 🌟

Michael at the Meadowhall branch is fantastic. After stopping and taking a look in the window, Michael popped out to see if he could help us in a friendly and no pressure way. After spending a little time with him, it was clear he really knowledgeable, patient and willing to spend the time with us to get it right. We returned a couple of weeks later after giving it a bit more thought and finally chose a beautiful ring. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Amazing service in the Edinburgh store. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Shona for her outstanding service. The ring exceeded all my expectations

I was away on holiday when my ring was dispatched so I rescheduled the delivery to today, July 1st. It was less than 2 weeks before my order was sent which was really good because I wasn't expecting it to arrive so soon. The ring exceeded all my expectations. It is absolutely beautiful and I am so pleased with it. I chose 9ct white gold. The tiny diamonds really sparkle ✨️ and the pattern is so delicate ♥️
I would definitely recommend Austen & Blake and I will be placing other orders in the new future 😀

From the start of searching for a engagement ring to the end product was lovely.
I was kept informed every step of the way about the ring going into production.
The finished article is just beautiful.

Severely delayed service and poor communication throughout

Me and my partner dropped my ring off on 14th May for resizing and were advised the lead time would be 14–21 working days. It is now 30th June and we still do not have the ring, nor have we received any meaningful communication throughout the process.

We called before the 21 working day period was up and were told the ring was right on schedule. However, once that timeframe passed, we were met with excuse after excuse, with the ring repeatedly going through further “checks”. We were then told it would be dispatched today, only to call for an update and be informed there has now been another delay.

What has been most disappointing is not just the delay itself, but the complete lack of clear and proactive communication. We would have been far more understanding if we had been kept properly informed throughout.

The customer service is, without question, the worst we have experienced. We are deeply saddened, as this was meant to be one of the most exciting times in our lives, but this experience has really taken away from that. Although the ring itself is perfect, we would strongly advise caution when purchasing from here due to the poor customer experience.

We expected more urgency and accountability once complaints were raised, but unfortunately that has not been the case.
