During my work experience at Azets in Shrewsbury, I had an opportunity to work with a wider team, and it was a really positive and enjoyable experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and happy to help me understand how the accounting office works.
I learn about a different task involved in accounting and office organisation, and the team members took time to explain things clearly, which make me feel confident asking questions.
The staff trust me with small tasks, and I felt proud to contribute in a real office environment. Their encouragement helped me feel more confident, and I appreciated how patient and supportive they were throughout the week.
Overall, my experience at Azets was very positive. I felt included, respected and motivated, and it was helped me understand more about career in accounting and business. I’m grateful to the partners and team for making my placement so friendly and enjoyable.

My limited company previously had an account with this company, and the matter ultimately resulted in a CCJ following a dispute over an invoice which I did not believe had been agreed.
I was unhappy with how my account and the subsequent dispute were handled. I found the communication and customer support during the dispute to be poor, and I was dissatisfied with the way my concerns were dealt with.
Overall, my experience was negative and, based on my experience, I would not use this company again.

Not interested in local small businesses!
We had been with Alextra accountants for over 13 years! Azets came along, bought them out and then we were served notice that they no long wanted to provide their accountancy services to us, as we "Don't fit within the target client profile of Azets"
Speaking to other local tradesman and businesses in the Crewe area, it seems they have taken this attitude with others too.
Its a shame that a company grows so big, that they forget their bread and butter and which businesses helped to get them where they are today!

In some circumstances we therefore choose to not act for certain clients for reasons which are disconnected from the size of an organisation.

Not great for private clients
Not great for private clients, lack of communication. Expectations for them to manage my a tax process, they did not keep to deadline costing me an interest payment and a penalty charge. They did eventually pay a ‘goodwill’ to cover the penalty advising I delayed the process. I was never once reminded of the deadline Any communications were prompted by me. No attention to detail of values or dates required. Had to correct on several points where they already held the information.
They may be ok for a large business but I would not recommend them for personal clients.

Each staff member I have been dealing with since day 1 has been extremely helpful and courteous, making me feel sure my business affairs were in the best hands.
