Had to return order which was a birthday gift due to sizing issues . No free returns provided unless faulty … so in order to get a refund cost £8.25 in postage costs .
Wanted to swap with another product but given return policy decided to go elsewhere in case of similar issue
Will not use this company again due to returns policy and at consumer cost

I purchased three pairs of Backdoorshoes for myself my husband and son as I have had a pair gifted to me that have worn out after about 10 years.
I ordered the same size as I previously had but they are too big. Like other reviewers have said they are slippery and I’ve almost turned my ankle several times because unlike the men’s clogs, the women’s don’t come up as high on the back of the heel. They are also wider. My husband says his don’t stay on very well.
Very disappointing to find these changes to your clogs and yet you never stop bombarding me with emails. The only good thing I can say about them is they are very nice looking and true to the photos but not safe to wear unless you wear very thick socks perhaps.

Great shoes, very comfortable, so I thought I'd buy another style. However, the size was too small, but the website talks of hassle-free returns, how important the customer is etc etc, and then, a long way down and in small print - I find out I have to pay for returns! So I certainly won't be buying a larger size, or indeed any other of their products, in case I need to return them.

I ordered a pair of shoes the same size as I already had follow a conversation with the lady in the office. When they arrived the shoes were visibly different in size and were too small. I spoke to the lady in the office and agreed to return as faulty and have the postage refunded. She advised me to buy the same size again as she believed the
original pair to be faulty. The woman was at all times pleasant and polite.
I returned them. Subsequently I received a phone call from a male person in the office. He didn't agree they were faulty and blamed me for ordering the wrong size. He tone was aggressive and rude.
I have now received the exchange and they
fit. My previous pair have lasted for years.
The product is good but not my experience with the male office person. He didn't
provide his name.
I still await my postage refund.

We bought three pairs at the Malvern show. Fantastic customer services. The clogs are so practical and comfortable. So good I have just bought myself a second pair. I now have a pair of back door shoes and a pair of kitchen door shoes 🙂

Utter trash!

Tonight marks the 3rd time I've had a slip fall whilst wearing these shoes and I've around 5 close calls before it.

The problem is that the soles are very poorly made and are very slippery on anything apart from dry grass/tarmac/pavement etc. As soon as you add anything like water, moss, wet grass or such you may as well be wearing a pair of ice skates!

They're labelled as Back Door Shoes, but unless your Back Door opens on to an ideal surface then I'd stick well away!

Seriously, guys, I'm in my early 40s and am fit and well, and your shoes sent me onto my back today after washing the car. The soles are simply NOT fit for purpose!

I am very pleased with my clogs. They arrived very swiftly after my order. They are light, comfortable, practical and look great. Congrats in offering larger sizes - I take size 47 and have been looking for some time for clogs to fit. Most makes stop at size 45 (11).

Had to phone the office had problems ordering online. Spoke with Katie who was a pleasure to deal with. Warm personality and good customer service skills. Arrived on date she mentioned. Not had brogues long, but seems all is fine with them.

Ordered clogs in size 5.5. Was sent clogs size 6. Too big. I won't be able to keep them on. I've never taken a size 6 in my adult life. Backdoorshoes' mistake. Having problems returning the clogs for a refund. They want me to pay return postage for their error and are trying to tell me that size 6 is actually a size 5.5 despite size 6 being stamped on the bottom of the clogs. Not happy how they treat customer complaint.

Update: Backdoorshoes sent me a pair in a smaller size which were a better fit. I returned the size 5.5/6 in the pre-paid returns bag which the company provided.

Great price as bought in sale.
Previously bought the clogs for my husband who is still wearing them 4 years on.
My only criticism is sizing as I am a 6.5 and the 7 only just fits. Hope they're as comfy as they are pretty to look at guess time will tell.

Have just experienced wonderful after sales service from Steve, the MD. I definitely recommend the product (mens chunky tread clogs) and the company.

I placed two orders in 2020, one in September and one in mid-December. They were dispatched and arrived to Ireland within days. Great packaging. These were both pre-Brexit - I'm waiting till Shipper and Customs delays settle down before getting some summer sandals for 2021. The foot balm is amazing!
