I have had longstanding lower back problems and require something very firm. After sifting through a million reviews and even testing out various beds in person, I finally purchased a highly rated, very recognized name brand hybrid bed (that claims to be "firm" and cooler) to replace my old bed that was no longer offering support (old bed was coils only - and they eventually just gave out). I settled on that bed mostly because of the do-able price point, loads of reviews, and the 365 return policy. After having that new bed for 2 nights, I was in so much lower back pain, I thought I must have coincidently just pulled something. But by week 2 of sleeping on the new bed, I moved to the floor during the middle of the night just to get relief (which was too hard, but better than the bed lol). Thank god the return policy on that bed was awesome - but I knew I had to find something else asap. I went in to the Ultrabed store tired, annoyed and desperate to find something I could afford, that wouldn't land me in a position of having another new bed I hated. Not only was Miguel and Dr Rick super helpful in getting me a new bed asap (literally delivered the next morning), but the price point for the bed and pillows was awesome - around the same as the other "new" bed, and the delivery was easy and so helpful. The first night I slept more comfortably and soundly, then I have in years. The firmness is stellar - definitely enough to keep you supported, but not too crazy hard that your arms cramp up if you sleep on your side. The top layer is also amazing temperature wise - stays cool. My husky, who never liked to sleep on the bed before, even approves lol. The organic properties are just a bonus for me. And I was sick with a flu last week that had me in bed for 9+ hrs a night, multiple days in a row - something that was impossible for me to do in both my old bed, and the other "new" bed I had tried. Seriously - if you have back pain and you like something firm...this bed is a game changer!

As a full time college student who struggles with lower back pain from scoliosis, I often wake up aching and in pain. When I begun working part time at Ultrabed, I realized that a majority of the pain I was dealing with stemmed from my 11 year old mattress that was not supporting my back.
