Customer line ticket problem
I just got home from BDO bank, their customer line ticket system is very bad. I went to the bank because I need to renew my debit card, this means my transaction will be managed by accounts department. I got my line ticket, waited for more than 1 hour with no updates for me, and I don't know what I am still waiting for. In the end, I still need to ask them when I will be called. If not, then I'll be stuck there waiting for nothing.

I live abroad and barely use only banking. No notification or email about account getting dormant. To activate it, its like you are opening an account again because of so many documents that you need to sign. Too painful on my butt to complete this plus the manager dealing with this takes ages to answer the email. It is close to 1 month now and its still unresolved. What a joke banking here.

BDO Insurance
BDO Insurance has the worst customer service and a legit money skimming bank. I paid for my Fire Insurance as I still have an existing loan. The very next working week they send out a restructured payment schedule of my loan that includes the Fire Insurance that I already paid for. Getting them to help and rectify the issue did nothing but headache and frustration. Magaling maningil at kumuha ng pera pero sugapa sa pagbalik ng pera na hindi sa kanila.

BDO ATM stole my money
I am a dutch national. Followed the whole withdrawal proces at the ATM at Olongapo SM mall branche.
PHP 10.000 plus the php 250 commission.
But suddenly on the screen a text that the teller could not proces the money.
I immediately checked my account and €152 was gone!! Went inside the BDO office to claim my money but the clerk spoke like a robot repeating I have to fill in a form for the claiming proces. It was very obvious that this was the fault of there rubbisch ATM. Why should I work again for the money I already worked for?!! They stole my money. I just have to hope I will receive it back. In the Philippines there is always problems with the ATM. Amateurs. But this time they just took my money.

I was trying to transfer funds to my other bank accounts yesterday, and immediately, BDO locked my account when I emailed them. I was told of suspicious activity, and was told that they were just protecting my account? from who from me as the owner?? I waited for 3 hours for my ticket turn i sitted on front of the monitor just to never missed my turn i asked also the guard if possible my ticket number will reached before the time i came 3pm and it was already 430pm they will closed 530 pm and still the serving number of opening account is 3033 and mine is 3036 after while its came 3034 then 3035 they called no one so i waited mine then suddenly 3037 came i was shocked i didnt saw my number then i went to the teller to asked im still here waiting the teller no 6 the lady i didnt got her name wasnt nice she told me she called the number how come? And she really insisted and very rude asking me what will i want to do hello?? Poor Customer Service
It’s extremely disappointing to keep calling and being asked to resubmit the same documents over and over. I’ve been trying to reach customer service online for two weeks now, and it feels like no one truly understands my concern. What makes it even more frustrating is that I’m also Filipino, speaking the same language, yet the responses I receive don’t address the issue at all.
All I need is a simple update of my contact number from local to international because my Philippine number is no longer active. Instead of resolving it, I keep getting excuses. I fully understand the protocols and standards, but this account and this money belong to me — not anyone else. It shouldn’t be this difficult to fix something so basic.
It’s very frustrating to deal with a complaint that remains unresolved for two weeks with no progress at all.

I waited almost 2 hrs just to do an exchange 1000usd exchange. Finally got to a window and teller passed my bills around for everyone to look at. Picked one out and made me sign a paper on that note. Took all my information and put in computer. Wrote every bill number on a document and had me sign in 4 places. Had people looking at me and my bills like a criminal. NEVER AGAIN...

Terrible new account opening customer support, sent wrong docs, then did not know how to open a savings account. This is supposed to be the best bank in the Philippines. Yeah, not seeing it at all. Will not be banking with them after this experience.

The customer service is terrible. Their main goal is to maximize their profits at your expense. The policy’s of BDO are awful from a consumer standpoint. Practically every transaction we have done includes fees for most things. Today we are closing our account and they don’t seem to want to wait on us. Believe me we have been taking notes and will never be a returning customer. If I could give them a lower rating than 1 star I sure would.

I have been a long time customer of bdo. I used to bank with one of their branch and I am happy with their customer service. It's just I transferred my accounts to bdo Sm San lazaro for the purpose of doing my banking even on weekends, but I would say I regret doing such. The bank employees there dont know what real customer servce is. They dont even know how to smile at their clients. They seem to be caught up with a lot of clients that they forget already to atleast make their clients feel that they are happy to serve you. Its like they just want to finish the transaction and get rid of the client.

I used an atm in Bulacan shopping mall, but it never gave me any cash.. I checked my bank next day and they had taken the money from me, 10,000 php!!! Thieves. That was over a month ago now and I still haven't got it back. I called them on the phone and they just kept transferring me to other people..
5 Star Service at BDO SMBaguio
Banking with BDO SM Baguio has always been pleasant. I don't remember any visit at the bank without getting an excellent service. Manager Vicky Peña leads the example of what good customer relations is all about. It's not surprising therefore that her staff Angie and Charm, actually all the branch's crew including the sec guards, follow Vicky's 5-star brand of service.

I'm a Filipino who's 100% qualified had all the requirements (Active Philippines phone number, house and condo in the Philippines, and US, certified Filipino citizenship documents from Philippine embassy in the US, passport, driver's license they even Google my images and US combat military service etc .. to open a BDO savings and checking account from United States via online. I followed all the procedures and submitted all legal and sensitive documents.
Despite of all these qualifications and able to provide all the requirements, I received an email stating disapprovement of my application. What a waste of time! All they want is my legal information. I'm sure they will sell that information.
So Yesterday, I applied from US via online and received a video call from BDO Philippines. They tried to scam me by informing that there must be a 50,000 peso amount minimum balance on my possible savings account for 6 months before I can open a checking account in person in their Philippine branch. I said it doesn't make sense. You mean people without that kind of large money to deposit and maintain in their savings account for 6 months will never be able to open a checking account, a lot of people in the Philippines don't have that amount of money, that's odd. The representative suddenly looks nervous and stated, "oh it depends on the bank Branch Manager" Obviously BDO was trying to scam me by picking on me or singling me out because I'm in the United States making USD. That's ridiculous, horrible business tactics or ethics and unjust.
When I informed them about my source of income from military disability pension and unemployment insurance benefits, they didn't believe me. Instead of asking for documentation to prove my claim they just assumed I was lying. I could have given them an official letter from the United States veterans administration and from EDD government agency (unemployment insurance) for verification. UNBELIEVABLE! If I can give a negative star I will do for this Philippine Bank!!! BDO IS A SCAMMER HUB! It's a shame that they are one of the biggest bank in the Phils but they cant implement a control on fraudulent transactions!! With all the cases that is happening it even seems like an inside job and the company is tolerating it!!!!! Not even helping the victims and even making it hard! I ended up paying the scammed amount! And now just requesting for a certificate of complete payment is taking ages! Like MONTHS!! ANd you have to pay for the piece of pdf paper after they have scammed yoU!!!! NEVER BANK WITH BDO! They should be reprimanded or investigated!!! BDO SCAMMMMMEEEERRRRR!!!!!
