Unhappy with the claims process

Most of the time I never had issues. Recently bought a down sleeping bag that arrived with loose feathers coming out. Not unusual for down, as Bergzeit agreed, took it out for one night and woke up to the bag covered in quills coming out from the bag. I initiated a return claim that was quickly shut down since “it’s normal for down”. Even after I explained that this was far more than my other down items. Mostly disappointed they didn’t even consider taking it back to investigate, instead I was shut down by mail.

Complicated and overly expensive return…

Complicated and overly expensive return process. I tried to return a coat that I did not like, and they made it as difficult as possible. It cost me over £100 just to get the item shipped back to them. When I reached out to customer service regarding this issue, they were unhelpful and completely disappointing. Penalised heavily for a standard return. Beware of the hidden costs if you think there's any chance you might need to send your order back.

received the wrong product

I placed an order with you and received the wrong product, not only did I wait a long time for a response from you, but they also don't want to refund me for the return shipping. Although the company's website clearly states that they refund if the buyer receives the wrong product.

Bad customer service and horrible support

Horrible customer service my card was used on this site by a random person and when I emailed them they took 1) Over a week to message me/ respond back. 2) said the card wasnt used and asked if the money came out when I sent them multiple screenshots of the money being withdrawn and their company name with the statement from the bank, as well as the card that was used at the time

Scam company

Couldn't have worse customer service this company should be avoided at all costs!
I have attempted to return a £490 coat to the company twice as it is too small for me.

The first time i returned the coat it was sent to the address that was provided whithin the parcel for returns. The item was then unable to be delivered as there was no one at the return address to accept it and it was returned back to me.

When I reached out to the company I was told it was the wrong address to send the return to and that I was at fault (even though I followed instructions inside the parcel) and was provided with another address to return the item to.

I then returned the item a second time to the address the company provided on email and is stated on their website.

The parcel has again reached the returns address and has been attempted delivery twice but no one has been at the property to accept the return. 

I am now in a position that I cannot get a refund for a item despite following consumer contract regulations 2013.

Terrible customer service

Terrible experience with this e-commerce. On their website there is written 3-5 days for the delivery. After 6 business days they didn’t ship it yet. My order was a Christmas gift, to this date I don’t know if it will ever come. The customer support is useless. Go somewhere else.

delivery times indicated are completely wrong

The delivery times indicated are completely wrong.
I specifically chose this company because it stated that the product would be delivered within 5 days. Instead, I waited 2 weeks, and even spent more than I wanted to because they have a minimum order policy. I will definitely never buy from them again.

Customer service replied very vaguely when I asked for information about the delivery timing, given that it was taking much longer than what was stated on the website at the time of checkout.

Don’t attempt to shop here!!!

This is genuinely the worst service I’ve ever gotten from a webshop. I’d highly recommend not shopping here. I placed an order for over 300 euros and I never got it. Everytime I called them regarding the order I received a shamelessly poor service, and I have still not received my order! Save your time and spend you money somewhere else!

Where is my order

I haven’t heard back from anyone. There’s not a customer service email.

Where is my order???!!!

The tracking information showing on my account is fake. I’ve liaised with the courier and they cannot find my tracking information using my postcode or the tracking number.

I’ve been waiting for over 2 weeks now. I need the tent by next week as I’m going to a festival.

What the hell is going on with this? Can someone from the team get in contact with me asap.

I ordered a shirt from Bergzeit…

I ordered a shirt from Bergzeit that arrived smelling strongly of sweat under the armpits – clearly used. No return slip included. I contacted customer service immediately.

After several days and only automated replies, I was finally told I could return the item. However, I have still not received any confirmation that return shipping will be covered – even though the product is defective. No apology, no compensation, and no responsibility taken for sending a worn item.

This was my first and definitely last order with Bergzeit.

I ordered a carrier from Bergzeit on…

I ordered a carrier from Bergzeit on June 5, 2025, and I finally received it today, June 19, 2025. They initially promised delivery within 3-5 days. However, I noticed that every day it continued to state that it "will be delivered tomorrow."

After reading numerous negative reviews about this website, I reached out to PostNL three times, but they had no information on my package. Eventually, I decided to check at the nearby PostNL outlet, which I had listed as a second address. To my surprise, I found my parcel there, even though the app indicated it was still in transit. The staff member also mentioned that my package was still on the way. I insisted on their help to check it because customer service had informed me that my parcel had been rerouted to the second address.

If you're facing a similar issue, I recommend visiting your nearby PostNL outlet to check on your parcel. It might save you some time and frustration.

Their claim process extremly slow

Their claim process is unbearable slow. Expect 4-6 weeks for Bergzeit even to start processing a claim despite of the fault being obviously on the manufacturers site. Dont use this webshop!

Bought a Suunto 9 watch

Bought a Suunto 9 watch. The watch has been broken for three times, send it back.

Three times I had to miss my watch already. In total 24 weeks for all the repairs.

They have lost my charger of the watch and stil askes for patience. We are looking for a solution the answered.

Bergzeit only request for patience from my site.

Never ever gonna buy something again from Bergzeit.

A very disappointed customer.

Suggest you avoid them

Bought a pair of Scarpa Crux and sought a proportional refund as the inside mesh in both heels cracked and left holes. Their explanation for dismissing the claim was improper use. Well, having worn then less than 6 months and not even every day it's clearly a manufacture defect. I'm in Denmark so there's a limit what I want to do except never return as customer.
