It's about the nickles and dimes for them, not about the dogs.

Our neighborhood dog daycare place was bought out by this national company owned by a guy who used to be a manager at Best Buy. He's indoctrinated the staff to approach dog daycare using upselling techniques he formerly used to sell you electronics. The result is a mess.

The facility used to be clean and is very dirty now. Each day there's a gimmick to sell you something like an "upgraded bath" or "enrichment" but they can't be bothered to fix their website where the posted rates are 3 to 4 rate hikes old.

Then, more recently, they started automatically charging customers for a "healthcare" fee in case your dog gets sick within 7 days of boarding. It sound like insurance except there is NO insurance policy in writing or coverage declarations. It's just "let's wing it" and charge our customers another tacked-on fee above and beyond the ever escalating rates that keep going up despite the rates on the website not being current.

Then the staff tells us privately that all the new owners care about is money. It's disgusting... but not as disgusting as the unclean facility that used to be so clean when it was run by the original owners.

I hate that Best Friends is milking this formerly great facility dry and spend more time on sales training than cleanliness.
