Booksy and Blond hair
I’ve been a customer here and wanted to support the business, but my recent experience was disappointing.
The shop encourages customers to book online. Due to a busy schedule, I rescheduled my appointment several times, but I always booked another appointment instead of simply canceling. Before my final appointment, I called the salon to make sure everything was okay, and the owner told me to come in.
When I arrived on time, I learned that I had already been charged a $50 cancellation fee. The owner said he would refund it, but only after deducting fees charged by the booking company. Since I had already driven there and needed a haircut, I decided to go ahead with my appointment.
Later that evening, I discovered that another $50 cancellation fee had been charged to my credit card. At that point, I disputed both charges with my credit card company.
The haircut itself was good, and I have no complaints about the barber. the problem stems from Jolee who cancels without any authorization even if you call to verify. My concern is with how the cancellation fees were handled. Based on my experience, I recommend that anyone booking online carefully review the cancellation policy and monitor their credit card statements for any charges. The TCD could be involved if it does not get resolved.

I’ve been a Booksy Customer for YEARS.
Consistently and I’ve sent over 5 stylist to this platform. It’s an issue when I’m losing money. I can’t booked my clients due to an extra fee for a client that is my original client. Booksy did not send me these clients. Why would you think it’s ok to charge me $60 extra dollars plus monthly subscription of $30 when you don’t send me any clients. They say call during business hours mom-Fri 9am -5pm did that no reply they tell you to go text to chat that bs. I’m leaving and taking my business elsewhere don’t do it. You may as well go back to notebook and paper to take appointments.

Keep Away — No Protection for Clients
Absolutely awful experience with Booksy. There seems to be little to no vetting of the stylists on this platform and no real accountability system when issues arise. I’ve now had two stylists cancel on me, and one even demanded a deposit off the platform and kept it after cancelling. The platform feels extremely unreliable and leaves customers unprotected when dealing with dishonest stylists. Very disappointing experience overall. I would not recommend Booksy to anyone looking for dependable service.
BOOKSY is fantastic
BOOKSY is fantastic if you have a small solo practitioner business or if you have several employees. Very easy to use, clients appreciate the contact - the reminders, reaching out if you haven’t been in for three months, the ease of paying tap to pay or credit processing with Stripe, which is a nice alternative to Square and the fees are competitive. I also like that clients can search my name and find me online at Booksy then book an appointment with me or contact me or buy a gift card, etc. So if you’re just starting out and don’t have a web presence yet (or are 25 years in and don’t want to maintain a website anymore) you still get web presence by default by using Booksy because of the booking page they create for you.

Brilliant customer service to guide you through set up which was relatively easy, the page for both me and my clients is easy to navigate.

Booksy will hurt a business! They have a link for Booksy on our barber shop website for a different barber shop and won’t fix it! Has to be illegal. Customer service doesn’t care.

I scheduled an appointment with a stylist through Booksy with a $85 deposit for my mother. However,I did not realize the salon was farther away than she could travel. Canceled same day two hours later after booking appointment. I contacted Booksy and they said that they could not help me and that I had to get my deposit back from the stylist. I contacted the stylist. She said she was able to refund me but 25% less because Booksy charges her that. Needless to say I’m out $ 30 because I used the so called convenient user friendly appointment setting app! Never again !

5 star is for Tariq from the help chat team in the UK, i am in Bristol if this can identify to find him. Although it was with a delay at the beginning he chased up a muddle up situation for me within his team and across departments. The first contact and the training at the start was also very nice. Shame that i forgot her name but they can identify her through my account i guess.

Using Booksy daily and I can't imagine living without it!
Booksy helps me daily to manage my salon - from calendar to marketing and payments. Previously I was using other platform, but I was not able to get as many new customers as on Booksy. I also like Boost very much - there's a charge for every new customer, but only for the first appointment and if the customer returns to me (and they do!) whole amounts goes directly to my pocket. Highly recommended for all the businesses in the beauty industry!
