The product is good
The product is good, looks good on a whole and relatively easy to install... unfortunately that where the good stops. The customer service is atrocious. don't expect them to uphold their warranty as they will do anything they can to avoid, even telling you to fix it your self, using a soldering iron to "weld" the parts back together! this of course would certainly invalidate and warranty! (not that they are likely to uphold it!)
Certain products they supply are not fit for purpose! They come out of the molds with errors, this can include thin joints. I now have two end pieces that I can not fit, as when screwing them in place the ends just split off due to it being very thin at the joint.
I contacted britmet expecting them to send replacements (after buying over £1500 worth of their product) which would of cost them more in postage than the actual product cost which would be pennies. but no they doubled down and tried to use very poorly thought out logic from their "technical" department! This did not wash with me (mostly because I'm an engineer). so now I'm having to contact trading standards and start possible legal proceedings under the consumer rights act "not fit for purpose".

Review From ProTrade
We are a Building Plastic Trade Counter in the Midlands, and have been using Britmet for a number of years now. Due to their brilliant service and top quality products, I'm sure we will be with them for many more years. Our Sales rep, Peter Coker is fantastic and always goes that bit further to make sure our needs are met.
10/10 service and products.

A pleasant experience. All issues rapidly and skillfully addressed …
There was an issue with tiles fitted some years ago, but the company responded helpfully and pleasantly. Chris Morris came over to sort out the problem; he did a great job It was a pleasure to have his good-humoured professionalism.

Great Customer Sevice/Mali
Mali is an absolute pleasure to deal with, very professional and will always respond to any queries we have, promptly and efficiently. A great ambassador for the brand.
Thank you Mali, for all your help.
Brimet really is the future of roof tiling!!
I needed slate-type roofing tiles for a small garden office project. Having trawled the internet (and following recommendation from a neighbour who is a commercial roofer) I found that Britmet liteslate is a revolution in composite lightweight roofing, and just the job! Bought 198 tiles for 5m2 and easy to fit. Also you can simply saw cut endings to double up. They may look and feel like expensive car mud-flaps!.. BUT.. my own experience is that they are great, good, sustainable, value for money, easy to transport and use. Britmet roofing is the future! Cheers.

Britmet is a great, value for money and easy to use product even if you have no roofing background, as there is help and instructions available.
I have found the customer service to be very helpful and knowledgeable, helping right through from estimating to aftersales.

Great service from Peter, always willing to help with specifications and offer advice.
A good range of lightweight roofing products as sensible prices.
We have completed a few projects succesfully with Britmet's help.
I have had some pushback from other team members though, either not understading my needs or not being able to offer that "extra mile" service, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Recently had an installation/open day with the guys from Britmet. Despite the long journey faced by both gents, they arrived bright and early. Found them to be very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable. It was a quality over quantity customer meet. Each customer spending 30-40mins discussing their needs and what Britmet can offer. Refreshments were provided by Britmet. At the end of the day, everyone both suppliers, staff, and customers rejoiced in the great success of the engagement. Indeed the Britmet guys commented wholeheartedly that it was the best day they'd ever had, and planned to use the visit as a template for future days. My thanks are unanimously given to Britmet, both the guys on site and the back up from their office.

Watts Roofing Supplies
As a roofing distributor in the Beds, Cambs and Herts areas is it great to be partnered with Britmet. Their product range complements our product portfolio. Lots of options for low pitch roofs, of which can sometimes be problematic in finding the correct solution. Product availability is always as advised and any issues are notified well in advance. The service team are always helpful and very responsive. Keep up the good work.

Professional products & people
We started using BritMet paint for our exterior render painting last summer. The sales manager PB introduced us to it and we haven’t looked back. Great people to deal with by email or phone.
More importantly great products and extremely competitive on pricing

Terrible Customer Service
I wouldn't normally write a review like this, but I feel I should tell my story.
We used the Britmet slates on our roof and the product is great, the issue came when we required some bespoke ridge slates creating. Britmet informed us they could do this for us and we went through the process.
We had to go through Travis Perkins to purchase the product, as Britmet only deal with the trade and not the general product, which wasn't a problem at all.
When the product arrived, the angle wasn't the correct angle as discussed and the product was unusable.
This is the point I found out their customer service is terrible, having waited a few weeks for a response to my email and a few phone calls, with no luck in speaking to the right person. I've given up trying to resolve the issue and decided to take the £250 loss (a big lesson learnt).
