Unfortunately had to cancel my order and still waiting for a refund over 3 weeks later!

I ordered 12 personalised cupcakes for my daughter's 19th birthday after seeing the beautiful photos advertised on Caker Street's website. What arrived looked nothing like the product I had paid almost £77 for.

The cupcakes were poorly presented, the decoration looked rushed, the personalised cakes were completely wrong, and instead of following my request to include "Love Dad" on one cupcake, they put "DAD" on four separate cupcakes, making them look like Father's Day cakes rather than birthday cupcakes for my daughter.

To make matters worse, the quality was nowhere near the standard shown on their website. I was genuinely heartbroken because these were for my daughter's birthday and there was no time to replace them.

When I complained, the first thing they offered was only a 20% refund, despite the cupcakes being completely unacceptable. Only after challenging this did they agree to a full refund if I returned the cupcakes.

I then had to pay £15.95 out of my own pocket to send the unopened cupcakes back by Royal Mail Special Delivery, exactly as they requested. They confirmed they had received the return, confirmed the refund had been approved, then repeatedly emailed saying it was "being processed", then "in the queue", and later asked me to send my bank details again for the postage refund.

Weeks later, I am still chasing them for my money. I have a long chain of emails promising a refund, but I am still waiting. The communication has been extremely poor, and I have spent far more time chasing this than I ever should have had to.

A birthday surprise for my daughter turned into weeks of stress, disappointment and endless emails.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The product did not match what was advertised, the customer service was poor, and the refund process has been unnecessarily long and frustrating. I would strongly advise anyone considering ordering personalised cakes or cupcakes to think very carefully before using Caker Street.

I ordered a cake for my nan's 100th birthday, the ordering process was very easy with plenty of choices, the cake came on the date specified and was exactly how I ordered it, it was also packaged very well will clear instructions that there was a cake inside. Would definitely use again.

I had my son’s 21st birthday cake delivered yesterday at 6.30pm and it had melted and collapsed in transit. Apparently this isn’t their problem and as per the returns policy I need to post it back within 12 hours (which would have been 6am this morning) despite sending photos. I’m sure when they get it right it’s fine but When they get it wrong they can’t even be bothered to talk to you and admit liability.

In addition there was no confirmation of delivery provided or text message on the days as promised. Even the original request for customisations was ignored.

Please don’t put your trust in this company to provide a cake for your special day.

Super easy to order, great options

I ordered a Disney princess cake for my daughter. I chose it as it had the classic princesses and particularly Aurora who is her favourite and whom the party was themed around. The cake arrived with two duplicate Belle figurines, a Cinderella and random Anna. Not what is described or advertised on the site. Sent an email about it and was told it was my fault for not specifically stating I wanted the princesses advertised in the image. It’s like saying you ordered a Frozen Cake but because you didn’t specifically ask for Elsa we’ve sent you Ariel. Totally ridiculous. Please avoid.

Great communication.. My needs were met.. Very easy to agree with designs etc. Service was amazing from start to finish. Packaged really well.

The easiest ordering process I’ve ever experienced with so many beautiful cakes to choose from. I honestly don’t know how they are able to offer so many fantastic cake options for next day delivery. The honest dilemma is not “How can I get something special in time?” It’s “Which amazing cake do I choose out of the countless fabulous cakes on offer?” I am looking forward to receiving this cake for my mother’s 90th birthday.

I honestly can't recommend Caker Street highly enough!

We ordered two celebration cakes for a joint birthday, and they completely exceeded our expectations.

The first was a stunning "snake in the grass" cake for my daughter. The attention to detail was absolutely incredible – it looked so lifelike and was created to perfection. She was absolutely over the moon with it and couldn't stop smiling. It really became the centrepiece of the celebration.

The second cake was for my husband's 60th birthday and featured a carp. Again, the craftsmanship was outstanding. The fish looked amazingly realistic, and everyone commented on how talented the team at Caker Street are.

But the best part wasn't just how beautiful the cakes looked – they tasted every bit as amazing as they appeared. The sponge was incredibly soft, light and moist, with the perfect texture. It literally melted in your mouth. The flavours were absolutely delicious without being overly sweet, which made them a real pleasure to eat. The portions were also very generous, and there was plenty to go around all of our guests.

From start to finish, the quality, creativity and care that went into both cakes were second to none. If you're looking for someone who can create breathtaking cakes that taste just as incredible as they look, then Caker Street is the place to go.

Thank you so much for helping make our celebrations so special. We wouldn't hesitate to order from you again and will be recommending you to everyone!

My boyfriend ordered a birthday cake from here to surprise me, but the whole thing turned into a total disaster.

The cake arrived completely smashed and ruined. When we reached out, the shop just tried to dodge responsibility and blamed their delivery courier. On top of that, their refund policy is just ridiculous—they actually expected me to ship a ruined, melting cake back to them within 24 hours on a weekend (when post offices are closed!), or settle for a pathetic 20% refund.

To make it even worse, we tried a bit of the part that wasn't totally crushed, and it tasted awful. It was shockingly, aggressively sweet and had absolutely no flavor. Just tasted completely cheap.

They ruined my birthday surprise, gave terrible customer service, and bake horrible cakes. Honestly, save your money and go literally anywhere else. Absolutely unacceptable.

I was after a slight variation of one of the existing designs, discussed over WhatsApp and got my order created. Very helpful :) if the cake tastes as good as the service I'll be over the moon 😂
