Their Warranty Is Meaningless Since They Don't Honor It!

Apparently I am far from the only one who has this issue. They do not actually stand by their warranty. A few weeks ago I filed a claim on a pan that had buckled and was under full lifetime warranty. I contacted "customer service" today and was told they had no record of my claim, which is pure garbage. This is their way of fending off claims, so that you will get tired and give up. Very common in today's unscrupulous business environment. So folks, don't think by paying premium prices for their cookware that you are going to be protected, just re-think your purchase. I am intelligent and know what I am doing, and I did file the claim along with the necessary pictures via their webportal. It is so easy to just say, we didn't get it. Again, this is how companies keep from having to replace the garbage they manufacture yet claim to be so great that they back up materials and workmanship for lifetime. They hope you will just "go away". I have no plans to do so. Next step, Federal Consumer Protection and the BBB. And by the way, why do you think they have a 1.5 star overall Trustpilot rating? Because they are a good, company who does the right thing?

Calphalon is a Joke

Calphalon no longer stands behind its products the way it once did. The “lifetime warranty” is misleading at best. The warranty portal is unreliable, repeatedly timing out and making it nearly impossible to submit a claim. Even when contacting customer service directly, the experience is frustrating and ultimately unhelpful.
More concerning is the quality decline. The nonstick coating has a tendency to flake, which raises legitimate safety concerns. Cookware should not deteriorate this quickly, nor should it pose potential health risks when it does.
This brand was once known for durability and reliability, but that is no longer the case. I would strongly recommend avoiding these products and choosing a company that actually stands behind its warranty and product quality.

This company is a laughing stock.

This company is a laughing stock.
I got a Calphalon pan 2.5 years ago. Half of the inside of the pan is scratched down to the metal. (no whisks were used, no metal cookware, no dishwasher). The underside of the pan also has a small "bulge" in it, possible create by the heat of the stove. Obviously the product is not built to last. But the worst part about them is their customer service.
I contacted them and included pictures of the pan inside and out. They refused the warranty, were unprofessional, and did not care about their shoddy merchandise. Built to last?! NO! Built to be thrown away after a few years? YES.
My family, friends, and the vast number of chefs that I know will no longer be using any Calphalon products.

Calphalon warranty is junk

Calphalon warranty is junk. Tried to get replacement of pot and was denied because I had no receipt. Bought this set from THEM 8-10 years ago. Who keeps receipts that long? THEY should have had the record of purchase. Very poor customer service and second class cookware.

Calphalon’s warranty is worthless

Calphalons warranty is not worth the paper it’s printed on. I had a successful replacement a couple years ago for failed rivets and scratches in the outside of the pan. Calphalon changed their policy and now requires pans to be returned at customer expense for “evaluation” prior to issuing a replacement. This makes no economic sense- why pay a premium for a product with a warranty that will end up costing more over the long run in returns?! Boooo Calphalon. You just lost a 20 year customer forever.

Hardest material on earth but a bamboo…

Hardest material on earth but a bamboo spoon scratches it!!?? The lifetime warranty doesn’t cover scratches. Total. Complete. Waste of $600 for an 11pc set of premier non-stick. Started scratching in under a year. They won’t do anything for me. I bought an Analon Set years ago and used metal kitchen tools in them and THEY lasted longer. Sent the warranty people at Calphalon photos and they said their pans are not covered for scratches. I told them I replaced my kitchen tools with bamboo so they would last a long time. They said too bad, so sad for you. Nope. AVOID ALL CALPHALON products.

Terrible cookware!

Terrible cookware!! Beware, didn't even last 1 year, we still have our no-name brand non-stick pans after 7 years, but the Cephalon Elite didn't even last 1 year. Ended up ordering through Williams-sonoma in Australia (an Australian website), but the "Lifetime warranty" only applies in the US. No warranty in Australia, even though sold on a .au domain website which falls under consumer laws of Australia but they're washing their hands of it! Disgusting, avoid them at all costs!

Have been dealing with warranty issue…

Have been dealing with warranty issue since September 2024. Sent pics of the damage. Have lifetime warranty on this set. Takes weeks for them to reply only to be asked more questions. Now, after all these months, they have gone silent again. This is totally unacceptable! You give a lifetime warranty - honor it! The person that rarely responds is Ahmed, Calphalon Consumer Service. Do better for your customers!

Customer service is horrible

Customer service is horrible. On going issue just to get a lid replaced. Lifetime warranty. Waiting 3 weeks. About every other day they send me a new issue. Send a picture of the handle, send a picture of the bottom. Need a picture of the inside of the lid number. Which doesn't have a number. Next call will be to corporate. Sick of dealing with incompetence of some of their customer service. Need an form email to send out stating what pictures are needed and how they need to be taken with your claim number in the picture.
Finally got my replacement with a apology letter enclosed. Started the claim Sept 3, received replacement Oct 7. Not acceptable

My son bought me 2 complete set for Christmas a little over a year ago. The inside coating came off, they wrapped , and I bought the products it suggested to clean with and nothing worked. They look like I have had them for years. I tried to tell them when it first happened but they said I was not through enough with my complaints. 2

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE UNLESS YOU ARE…

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT YOU WILL NOT BE RETURNING THE ITEM. The pan that we ordered was much shorter than expected. It was shipped to us from the Calphalon facility in Southern California. However, when we wanted to return it, Calphalon mandated that it must be returned to the facility in Ohio, and the shipping charges which the customer is responsible for paying was greater than the cost of the pan. In this era of online shopping, Calphalon's return policy is absolutely ridiculous and will be its downfall if the policy continues. We will never order from Calphalon again.

Your Cookware is Crap

I only bought a handful, maybe three or four pieces of Cephalon cookware, and thank goodness I stopped at that. Besides the fact that food sticks to the supposed non-stick surface of the pan, the actual outside bottom has started to deteriorate. I've owned them for a couple, three years and they all look like crap. So it's back to T-Fal.

Calphalon Classic

Calphalon Classic: Our cookware set has been very well cared for and is about 18 months old. Wooden or plastic, matter of fact Calphalon's own plastic utensils, have been used exclusively. Hand washing has always been done.
The cooking surface has gradually shown wear that looks like many tiny scratches. Until recently, they've not gone through the coating, now having several chips in it. Basically we've found a "too bad so sad" attitude. They work fine if you're looking for a short lived product you'll spend a good chunk of change on.
We're pretty much done now with all the no stick crap. Back to our 40 year old Revere Ware, that still is in good shape, and our well seasoned cast iron.

I purchased thousands of dollars of calphalon over the last 20 plus years. I recently had a nonstick fry pan’s finish fail. It was a few years old. My warranty claim was denied, even though I submitted pictures and told them where and when I purchased the pan because I did not have a copy of the receipt. Who saves a receipt for a fry pan for 3 or so years? Calphalon obviously does not want to back their product.

Bad customer service

Yes, I made a purchase on calphalon last night. When submitting my order, it took off my 20% discount and didn’t realize until too late, as I noticed price changed. When I called about it today, they told me I had to return the item and reorder to get discount. Unfortunately, I just had ankle surgery and it’s hard for me to return it. They wouldn’t just give a credit back to me so I wouldn’t have to go through this process of returning it. I will never order anything from them again. Bad customer service.
