Canva from the lens of non graphic Filipino

I rated Canva as great because of the following:
- You tool is open for all devices and not limited to desktop only as an app. You opened retained it as webapp.
- You retained the original goal from the online yearbook to canva which is making things easy. Designing doesn't need to be complicated
- You keep on improving your features based on research. Not just something that will make people use your product and buy subcription
- You are generous especially with your subscription tier. You opened a day tier for Filipinos for 49 PHP.
- You are not depended on AI with your features which is great and i hope you wouldn't.

Customer Experience

Canva is such a fantastic, well structured design website that allows you to express your creativity in every way possible! However, I used to be part of a school plan, but since school is out, I no longer have access to tools like magic eraser and backround remover on my personal account, making it a little less convenient. That said, the sophistication and accessibility of this platform is amazing, and I look forward to using Canva to bring my ideas to life!

The replies were canned responses and…

The replies were canned responses and not answering the question. Support, whether AI or a real person, had no knowledge of how to use Canva. I had accidentally created a customized border on a project and couldn't figure out what I had done. It took several attempts with support with no help at all. Support insisted that Canva did not create borders from text and images inside the project. However, they are wrong. And it took me a couple hours to figure out how I did it the first time. Support was completely useless.

It's a great way to express our ideas in a more attractive and contemporary manner. For those new to AI and all that's connected with it - this is a great way to get some kind of hands-on experience without even going out there to actually STUDY about it! THANKS CANVA! As a journalist I'm so happy to be part of the community that's CANVA!

Very disappointed

Very disappointed - the software is not very navigable especially when it comes to paying the invoice. Particularly if you are dealing with big businesses and multiple purchases for employees. I spent so much time and only wanted in the end to speak with someone. My emails have not been read correctly, when addressed - with the concern and what seems an automated AI response. All I want is the invoice to pay - My firewall will not navigatesee your response.

Their support is atrocious

Their support is atrocious. I have had my account for YEARS. I can tell exactly when they made the switch to Agentforce or whatever Ai bot they're using now for their customer support. Not only was my account closed without my consent, randomly, but I of course was then FORCED into a higher cost plan.
Not to mention, I paid $25 for an order to be shipped by a certain date because it was urgent. The order was delayed due to a mechanical error and they refuse to refund the $25...?
Unbelievable.

I loved Canva (pre AI)

I loved Canva - brought everything I needed for small business marketing materials to my fingertips without having to shell out for some top end DTP app.

Now I can't do anything by myself on it - AI interrupts at every step, and then gets it wrong.

No way to feed back to Canva - but if we could just have an AI-free version I'd be happy (again)

Why Canva is the literal worst thing I have ever seen apart from AI.

I can't fricking move images, I can't fricking find how to make them a background anymore, I can't rotate them, I hat AI to the ends of the Earth, Canva hates me and I fricking hate it. The literal O N L Y thing that is any good about it at all is that there are more images than on Microsoft Word. I would give Canva a 0/5 but I can't - you better be glad Its not allowing me to do so.

Canva AI is substandard

I'm finding that my paid subscription for Canva is less and less useful. The AI tool embedded in Canva is substandard compared to what ChaptGPT, Gemini or Copilot can produce. It cannot produce simple graphics with correct spelling of text. The AI functionality needs vast improvement for Canva to stay relevant.

Abismal Support

Canva kept asking the EXACT same questions and no matter how I responded, or explanations provided, including an old Invoice, the next email from Canva, would be the SAME questions and a threat to close my ticket, as if I didn't respond. I suspected Ai bots were dealing with my issue as I continued to get, email after email, the same repetitive questions and the same failure to address my grievance. I ran into this poor Support System in 2025 and NOTHING has changed. Bad, bad service. Hopeless situation.
