Great service

Bought a nearly new Clio from the Huddersfield branch. Great service from Ben Proctor who was very patient with my picky demands for the exact spec I wanted. No pushy sales techniques!

Decent

Overall, pretty good experience during the buying process. Straight to the point and honest coms. When there was a hiccup, it was L. Wigley, who sorted that out and in good time. So if you drop by, he's your man.
No pressure applied and reasonable to deal with when coming to an agreement. I was certain in what I wanted before talking to anyone, so if that's the way you approach it, you'll do alright here as I have.
Aftersales and whatnot is yet to be seen, but we'll see how that goes in time.

Issues with car and no help from Nissan Cars 2…

Purchased a car last year and started having issues a few months later with uneven tyre wear. Initially thought just needed new tyres and tracking but when this went to be done we were advised the car was damaged on the suspension and bent and needed to be repaired. We contacted Car2 to tell them twice and they never came back to us. My daughter then decided to pay for the part and new tyres and we hoped that was that. However less than 3 months later the uneven tyre wear is back and after even further checks more of the suspension and wishbone are bent and need replacing. Cars2 are refusing to help at all when it is clear the safety checks they have done should have failed. Please take care when buying a car from here. We are now stuck with a car that still have damage that needs to be repaired and having to go to the Motor Ombudsman.

Bought a car from cars2 Hyundai 8 weeks…

Bought a car from cars2 Hyundai Wakefield 8 weeks ago. Was assured that the car was a good car. Was pushed into the sale and they used threatening tactics. Took my driving licence off me and even though I asked several times for it back he didn’t return it until I had signed and paid deposit for the car. After only 7 weeks of driving the car I got a fault for the injector 4. Gave them the chance to fix it. Instead of fixing the injector 4 they put a fuel filter in. Broke down again on my way home. Now refusing a refund under the consumer 2015 act. Avoid this garage at all costs. They have dodgy cars and won’t give a refund under law.

Hide damage behind their online adverts.

Visited their Huddersfield dealership last Monday after driving an hour to view a VW Polo. Very low miles, interior like new and definitely a good car overall. However on arrival, it had scratches down every panel on the side shown in the photo, the bonnet and the VW badge, which were not mentioned in the advert or highlighted within photos. Some of these were down to the primer and had been filled in with a paint pen. The rear quarter on the other side rear has also quite obviously been painted at some point with a large amount of orange peel fading out into the doors. I appreciate that this is a second hand car and you'd expect the odd mark here or there, but for such substantial damage to not be noted in the advert is crazy.

We were asked to request Sonny, who was in a meeting so we were passed to another salesman who's name I don't recall. I mentioned the damage which I was told "would buff out". You can't buff out paint that's scratched back to primer. I mentioned this and he went to see if it could go to a body shop, which we were told it could. We test drove the car, which drove as expected for something with such low mileage and we were happy with the vehicle other than the paint damage. The young lad who was showing the vehicle had absolutely no idea about it and just sat in silence on the test drive which couldn't have felt more awkward.

We made an offer that reflected the cost of repairing the damage if we were to sort that ourselves and were quite literally laughed at by the salesman. Knowing how much a dealership would have paid for a trade in with damage of this nature, it was not a cheeky offer. Apparently it would cost them £200-300 to sort it and they would not move on price, but if we paid the asking price they would repair it. I would never commit to something like this without knowing the quality of the work that would be completed considering it'll need most of that side painted. Sonny did finally appear to show us other similar vehicles in the same price range... All of which don't have damage as we'd already considered most of them.

Funny how if it's only £200-300 for them to sort the damage that they've already reduced the vehicle £750. Surely it would make more sense to sort and sell for the full value? I can quote Sonny though that they "get customers that wouldn't care about the damage". Great for them overpaying for a car that's had 1 less service than the otherwise immaculate examples in the same price range.

Absolutely terrible attitude. No wonder it's been sat on their forecourt for 3 months! We've ended up buying a 2021 Mini with only slightly more miles, not a mark of damage and far more kit. Thanks for not taking us seriously, dodged a bullet. Couldn't care less about their customers, but apparently don't even want your money as we were only about a grand off the asking price to take it away same day...

EDIT FOLLOWING REPLY
Regardless of the first price mentioned, which was always a starting point... We offered £990 less than the asking price, which is not at all a cheeky offer considering the entire side would require paint work, which we weren't asking for fixing and would've taken it away same day. Great to see that you still have it sat on the forecourt as it has done for months now. Imagine if you sort the damage it'll fly out since it's otherwise a great car.

Hi Jack Betts. Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear you are unhappy. Your comments are a bit surprising, and we feel it's worth noting your offer to buy the car was £3,000.00 under the asking price. Your comments have been forwarded to the management team to be used for feedback purposes and we are delighted you have managed to find a new car.

We have just Purchased a New Nissan Leaf from Cars2 Wakefield and we dealt with Ben. We were extremely pleased with how Ben Dealt with us and nothing was too much trouble for him to help getting the car set up for us for driving away. All paperwork was dealt with very efficiently too and have no hesitation in recommending a trip to Cars2 if you are on the lookout for a New Nissan.

Do Not Buy from this company and…

Do Not Buy from this company and especially do not but the warranty or service plan. They fob you off.
When I originally bought the car they were told I was waiting on an inheritance to come through I left a grand deposit but they still bothered me asking if i had heard anything and the last time they rung they left a voicemail asking if I had the money yet if I haven't of put a deposit down I wouldn't of returned. I paid for the service plan the past four years and this year it had its service nothing came up a month later had its mot it failed on its handbrake and they told me because most handbrakes are electric they don't check... My car that they sold me has never had a electric handbrake. But that was the reason they gave they also wanted to charge me £194 to but the car on the diagnostic machine to tell them what was wrong with my manual not electrical handbrake! Even though diagnostic testing is for electrical faults. Absolute cowboys! Avoid at all costs

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware

We purchased Renault Captur from this dealership On 13th August 2026. We signed the handover sheet in the showroom in trust and good faith
To cut a long story short, the car subsequently had, or developed a slow puncture. The wheel locking nut was nowhere to be found. We reported this to Cars2 Hyundai, Wakefield. Who after promising to look into it and ring us back the same day, never did. We rang again next day at lunch time. No applogy or recognition of their lack of basic courtesy. They then told us they had provided a locking nut because it was stated on the handover sheet. Fact: A locking nut was not supplied with that car. We can honestly say buying a car from Cars2 is not something we will ever repeat. Unprofessional, dismissive conduct.

Update response to Cars2 Reply

1. How could we drive to your site safely, when the car had a slow puncture and no means of getting the wheel off?

2. You are insistent that the wheel nut was "present at time of delivery" can you prove this? Where was it "present" in the car? It will still be there.

3 Re gesture of goodwill, "at a preferential rate". We decided that after experiencing your post sale 'service', making empty promises to ring back etc (notice you do not address this in your response).
We'd rather cut our losses.

Hi Lazybeth. We are sorry to read you are unhappy but we also understand a Manager from our Hyundai branch did ask you to visit the site to discuss your concerns further, an invitation you declined. Our internal checks did show the locking wheel nut to be present at the time of delivery however we have also offered, as a gesture of goodwill, to help obtain a new locking nut set at a preferential rate but this was also declined.
