I have recently had a heat pump installed by EDF and I would like to say that the service from the installers and from Hayley in the main office was excellent in all respects.
Everything went to schedule with no hiccups and it is now working perfectly.
Awful service and company to deal with. Absolute nightmare and low quality pumps that leak. Parts not fit for purpose, has caused a lot of stress!
From start to finish the application and subsequent installation of heat pump with new boiler and radiators was highly professional and reassuring.
Appreciate Hayley Dare keeping oversight on the process.
But really impressed with Billy who was the senior plumber. Extremely capable, quick and helpful.
Can’t really fault this.. wish my solar panel was going so smoothly.. that is with a different company..
The installation of my heat pump went well and I would like to say thank you to everyone involved the installation team was very helpful clean and tidy and friendly so a big thank you to everyone Sandra and Jeff Jones.

Liam and the installation team did a great job on site, with what was a complex install. They kept me updated and minimised the impact on hot water and heating. The controls were explained and they checked I had a working system before leaving. Hayley did a great job of liaison at CB Heating.

Brill to deal with!! From enquiry to completion! Kyle was my initial contact several years ago, kept in contact with me. When we decided to take the plunge, was a great contact! From start to completion was 2 months exactly! One we signed the contract, we were passed over to the install team. Stephanie helped us first, then passed over to Hayley who checked in with us several times!
Our install team Ryan, Colin, and their apprentices were super thorough and kept the place tidy and it was like the install was super smooth!
Highly recommend!!!
Thank you guys

Although my circumstances changed and I did not proceed with getting a heat pump, I was more than impressed with the communication, responsiveness and professionalism offered by the company. In particular, I have to name Ramya, Jason and Jacob for their understanding and support whenever I had questions and needed further clarification or explanations as to decisions. They helped find ways to fit my needs and design the system competently around my house and desires. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and when I revisit having a heat pump I will certainly contact EDF Heat Pumps/CB Heating again.

The five stars:
-The Installation team: WOW. Brayden Mayne and his team are great! Brayden has an impressive CAN DO attitude. He is corteous, efficient, effective, a great leader, an amazing person to deal with, and I felt supported all the time, he even lent me some electric radiators. Thanks Brayden and the team for such a magnificent installation experience!
- The Customer Service team: Another impressive experience. Hayley Dare was very caring during the whole process and she was constantly checking how things were going, and kept me udated of any development. Leanne and Gemma were also very caring, during the installation some cold days were experienced and they arranged for another radiator to be brought over, which they said I was allowed to keep! Ramya is also great. They also arranged for an electrical switch to be installed at my electric metering point and also for the EPC.
- The Survey team - Sam was extremely thorough. She did a fantastic assessment of the heat loss at my property and she made excellent recommendations on how to run the heat pump suitable to my house.
-The lovely perks: 7 yrs guarantee and 7 yrs service plan, discounted radiators and £1000 discount (but see below), plus the government BUS grant (£7500), a process which they also manage, and 24-month no interest loan to pay for the system.
- The three stars (or two):
The Sales team. They treat you very well and politely but once they get you hooked and you paid the deposit, it is found out that you were misquoted with a lower capacity heat pump (Daikin 4Kw) when actually the size and heat loss of the house needs an 8Kw system. A Sales team advisor (which will remain nameless) mentioned that if that was the case they will respect the original price quoted. However the Daikin 8Kw failed the noise assessment so they said I needed an Ideal Logic Air 8Kw, however, the price on the quote increased over £1k, and yep the no increase mentioned by the Sales rep only applied for heat pumps of the same brand....;( Therefore, you need to cough up more money (over £1k) or else lose the deposit which is rougly a similar amount.
Anyway, so far upgrading to a heat pump on a pressurised system from a condensing boiler on a vented one has made a great upgrade to my house for a price slightly higher than an an upgrade to a combi boiler. However, the environmental gains from moving to electricity-powered heating from fossil fuels is a win-win.
Do I recommend EDF pumps/CB heating, yes totally. Just be mindful that they will misquote you to get more money out of you. Shame, as otherwise it is a great company.

The installation did not go smoothly but the aftercare I have received has been excellent. Ryan is a fantastic engineer and is an excellent resource for almost any snag.

We had a very disappointing experience after nearly three months of surveys, paperwork and waiting for a heat pump installation that ultimately never went ahead.
From the very beginning, we explained the difficult access to our property, including the staircase access, and were repeatedly reassured by the sales team that it sounded like a straightforward installation, that only a small unit would likely be needed, and that the installation could be completed within around 14 weeks. The sales process felt very pushy and gave us confidence that this would be an easy job for the company to deliver.
Based on those assurances, we paid a £1,500 deposit and proceeded in good faith. We were also left without heating while waiting for the project to progress.
After months of delays and uncertainty, we were eventually informed by the Health & Safety team that the property may actually be unsuitable due to manual handling risks relating to the access. The access arrangements had been explained from the start and had not changed at any point, so the fact this was not identified much earlier by the company is honestly quite shocking.
I fully appreciate the importance of health and safety, but the communication, expectation management and late-stage handling of this project have been extremely poor and caused significant stress and inconvenience. Unfortunately, it leaves the impression that the priority was securing the deposit and sale before properly assessing whether the installation was realistically deliverable.
I would strongly advise anyone with any access constraints to ensure they receive a proper feasibility assessment at the very start before committing time, money and months of waiting to a company that may not ultimately be able to deliver what they initially promise.

I asked for a quote, completed all the details and said I wanted to think on it as it’s a lot of money. EDF have HOUNDED me daily. I’ve had calls, voicemails and emails daily since which is a bit too much. Very disappointed, it’s like the are begging for business!

Had a heat pump and full system installed on an EC04 grant at my elderly father's property by the "Rory Paine team"
They went above and beyond in all areas including moving heavy furniture that we hadn't managed to do.
The install was done to a very high standard with all areas left clean and tidy on completion.
They were respectful of my father's condition (dementia) and explained everything all through the process.
Stephen Paine the install liason was also constantly in touch ensuring that everything was OK.
I highly recommend all involved / mentioned.

This is the second EDF heat pump I have had fitted. After working with amazing Jenny, Hayley and Lana at CB Energy they instructed and waited for the right team to do our installation. Sam Thomas from SNT Plumbing and Heating was extremely good and felt very easy to work with. Thank you to all who collaborated on this project.

A great team, instilling confidence right from the start. Technical support, Stephen Hayward, was very helpful from start to finish and with the after care .
The installation of a Heat Pump and all the plumbing for radiators was a lot less disruptive than I’d feared and I can’t praise Josh Steeple enough, his work is excellent and he and his team were polite, respectful and helpful at all times.
So, brilliant job, I’d recommend them to anyone/everyone😃.

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT.
I had a heat pump installed June 2025.
I had six months of asking why my bills were sky-high and my heating was coming on in the night, only to be called "love" a lot, and be told I didn't understand how heat pumps work
A year later, it was confirmed that (a) the cylinder was leaking, and (b) the ENTIRE INSTALLATION was incorrect. It had to be repaired by an independent contractor.
Furthermore, having stated that I wouldn't need to update any of my appliances, I now need to install a new shower, because CB Heating failed to note that the shower I had wasn't compatible with their system.
This has been a horrible situation from start to finish, I've been treated like scum - I assume because I'm a government grant customer. I'm left with bills to pay for almost a year of the system randomly kicking in when it felt like it and a leak in the system. And I have to buy a new shower.
I HAD a central heating system and a functioning shower when these cowboys turned up. Please do not fall for it.

The Dale Gray team were efficient clean and very quick.
I was surprised how quick it was done and how they managed to do the job without damaging or spoiling the decor apart from a few bits of new copper pipe showing you would not know any work had been done. They were very considerate and helpful all the time they were here.
They left everything clean and tidy and removed all the rubbish and only radiators etc. I cannot praise them enough for the job they have done and would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work to be done.

Really pleased overall. Excellent communication from Hayley throughout.
Really can't fault the plummer, Joe who did an amazing job and was both cheerful and tidy!
Jake & Brad the electricians from John's team were brilliant too.
The heat pump system is much better than I was expecting and it all works well.
Due to some staffing issues and time of year, there was a delay in getting the electrical side done, but I can't complain because they dealt with it so well and I felt the whole team did all they could to get someone out to me asap and all apologised for the delay.

Originally ordered in August 2025 but due to several unplanned circumstances my heat pump was eventually fitted this week. Throughout the process I've been kept up to date by Phoebe Matthews and Hayley Dare so they were really helpful. The installation went fairly smoothly with Aaron and TJay (installers) and Simon (electrician) doing a grand job and leaving the place as they found it. A snag with the flow was initially detected however, this was rectified in short order so now I'm up and running. An overall good experience for the fitting with minimal disruption and a good and friendly team. BZ

The heat pump installation was completed on 2nd April. Hayley Dare, as our liaison kept us informed throughout the installation of the heat pump, from the outset to completion. The installers were polite and efficient. There were a couple of short delays due to delivery of incorrect or missing parts. The heat pump is
up and running and is performing well.
