Unhelpful, unfriendly and with no knowledge of the rental business
Running a sole trader business we approached CER France for advice on changes to the laws around fiscal regime. We were given advice that we should immediately register to pay VAT as well as move to a profit and loss accounting system. Assuming that they knew what they were doing, as chartered accountants we made all the arrangements to do both changes. This was done a great expense and effort, not to mention an accounts fee of several thousand euros.
It then turns out that their advice was incorrect and that we did NOT need to register for VAT and we did NOT need to change fiscal regime to P&L. We have now fired them and found another accounting firm who at least have the basic knowledge that CER France obviously lack. We do not recommend them to anyone who is expecting at least the lowest form of expertise and support. We feel that they would be more suited to a function that does not pretend to know anything about the Tourist accommodation rental business.
