I’ve been a member now for 15 years and recommend to so many parents and other childminders. I’ve been a loyal customer and have helped so many through this website.
My reviews are fantastic, I’m an outstanding childminder and work very hard. Recently I had a parent who didn’t even start their child in my care, met me for one hour, was extremely rude it went no further. They have wrote on my page the most horrific review insulting me, my family and my practice. Childcare.co.uk have allowed this without even speaking to me to hear my story other parents have complained about this as it’s insulting and it’s still there, I am so upset, I have no idea why this is allowed to one wreck a business and two personal attacks and to even go on about my poor daughter this fellow has two profiles and makes them to create drama and issues for poor people, hardworking people like me. Now I believe he’s deleted it so to go on and do that to me then go, totally unacceptable but more upsetting for me to not get any support from childcare.co.uk to tarnish my name when he doesn’t even know me! Very upsetting experience all in all. Parents are horrified to read it and to be able to come on create multiple profiles and get away with it shows who their loyalty lies with 😒 it has caused much upset especially as my local authority are aware, know me personally and how this has affected me. The insults and personal attacks break my heart and my families.

For accuracy, however, you state that you have been a member of Childcare.co.uk for 15 years. Our records show that you joined Childcare.co.uk 12 years ago.
We are sorry to hear how upset you have been by the negative review you received from a prospective client who visited your setting and spent approximately an hour with you.
We completely understand that receiving a negative review can be upsetting, particularly when you strongly disagree with what has been written. However, consumers are entitled to leave reviews reflecting their genuine experiences and opinions.
Our published Review Guidelines make clear that a customer experience can include an enquiry or communication with a childcare provider, even where the person ultimately decides not to use their services. A prospective client who arranged and attended a visit to your setting can therefore leave a review about that experience.
While we greatly appreciate your loyalty to Childcare.co.uk, we cannot pick and choose which reviews we publish simply because the person being reviewed disagrees with them. Our Review Guidelines require us to publish genuine, relevant and lawful customer reviews, and we apply the same standards consistently to everyone.
Where there is a dispute about the facts of a review, we must remain neutral. We cannot simply decide that one person's version of events is correct and the other's is not. Where information available to us demonstrates that a statement in a review is factually incorrect, our guidelines allow us to remove all or part of that review.
In relation to your claim that the reviewer had two profiles which they have now deleted, this is also incorrect. Our records show that the reviewer has only one account with Childcare.co.uk. That account remains active and has not been deleted.
You also refer to the many “fantastic” reviews you have received. For clarity, your Childcare.co.uk profile currently has six reviews in total: five positive reviews and the one negative review referred to here. Two of the positive reviews were received one-day after receiving the negative review. Prospective parents are able to read all of these reviews, together with your response to any review, and make up their own minds based on the information available to them.
Unfortunately, receiving occasional negative feedback is something that almost every business encounters - including Childcare.co.uk itself, as demonstrated by this review.
We would encourage you to respond to the review and calmly explain your side of the experience. Your response will be displayed alongside the review, allowing prospective parents to consider both perspectives and make up their own minds.
We are sorry that you feel we have not supported you. With more than three million customers, it would neither be practical nor appropriate for us to contact every person being reviewed to obtain their account before publishing a review. Our role is not to decide which party's version of events we prefer, but to apply our Review Guidelines consistently and fairly to everyone.
Our guidelines also encourage members who disagree about an experience to communicate directly in an effort to resolve the matter. If the reviewer subsequently asks us to remove their review, we will do so.

I never dreamed that my daughter would…
I never dreamed that my daughter would have the best childminder I could have ever wished for. She is truly passionate about what she does and genuinely cares for every child as if they were her own.
She takes such wonderful care of the children, making sure they are well fed, changed, happy and comfortable. She goes above and beyond to create meaningful experiences for them, taking them to the park, farms to see the animals, and many other places where they can explore, learn and develop.
What I appreciate most is the love, patience and dedication she puts into her work every single day. She is not simply looking after the children; she is helping them grow, learn, become more confident and develop important skills through fun and enriching experiences.
I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have her looking after my daughter. Knowing that my child is in such caring, capable and loving hands gives me complete peace of mind. I truly couldn't ask for a better childminder. Thank you for everything you do for the children and for all the love and care you give them.

I have struggled to find babysitters locally until I found this site - It was very easy to set up a profile and communicate with potential sitters. I got a great response to my ad with lots of options very quickly. We found a great sitter through it. Great to be able to view DBS docs via the portal too. Would recommend.
