It helps in transcribing a lot!

Charged for a full year after my email was deactivated – no refund, not even partial

I subscribed to Clipto with my university email. When my position ended in October 2025, that address was permanently deactivated. I notified all my contacts and switched to a new email, but I had no way of knowing a Clipto subscription was still linked to the old one.

As a result, I was charged USD 24.99 every month for about a year without receiving any notices and without using the service a single time. I only found out by chance from a bank text message, and at first I thought my card had been used fraudulently.

I contacted support immediately. To be fair, they located the account and cancelled it quickly. But after two reviews, including an escalation, they refused any refund, not even a partial one, for a full year of zero usage on an inaccessible account.

I understand subscriptions must be cancelled manually. Still, refusing any goodwill gesture in a case like this is disappointing. If you sign up, use an email you will always have access to and set a reminder to cancel.

I absolutely love Clipto! Honestly, the video-to-text feature is the absolute best for work. It saves me so much time every single day; the transcription accuracy is insane and it makes going through meetings, classes, or video notes so much faster. If you need a tool that actually boosts your productivity at work, this is a 10/10. Highly recommend!

A great source to add your audio and have it transcribed to text. Use it all the time; it has speaker settings, so it can identify who is talking throughout your audio.

Perfect for transcribing videos and voice messages

Scam and phishing. They get all your data and WILL charge you even if you cancel. I signed for the 7 days free trial, they never activated the pro in my account, said the email I was using (the same that I used when paying AND was also receiving verification links) was not signed in any account. They are deliberately scamming people. Search about it in reddit. They reply and send you an email asking you to contact them in order to pretend to be honest. It's all fake, no answer ever came back from that email

I use Clipto very frequently for transcription and truly appreciate how useful it is. I’ve tested it with both English and Russian recordings, and it handles both languages exceptionally well. When you work with recordings regularly, having a good transcript saves so much time and makes it much easier to work with the material afterwards. I’ve been using Clipto for over six months now, and it has become a regular part of my workflow. I upload long audio recordings and get a clear, readable transcript within minutes, which saves me hours of typing. The interface is clean and simple, and I never had to figure out how it works. It also handles Romanian quite well, with only a few small corrections needed from time to time. I highly recommend it to anyone who works with recordings, calls, or interviews.

Excellent assistant for meetings, audio, and video transcription. It works well with files of different lengths, and you can choose whether to include timestamps or not.

Today I uploaded a 2.4 GB meeting video, and from the moment the upload started until the transcript was ready, it took only 17 minutes. For a file of that size, this is a great result. The text was ready to use right away.Very convenient, easy to use, and a real time-saver.
