Excellent service. Far better than others in the area

Used the Bearsden office recently to both sell and buy. Absolutely wonderful service from everyone involved. I’ve used other big estate agents locally in the past and had really not very good experiences. I would not use anyone else now other than Clyde and continue to recommend friends to them. An excellent, professional service

The sale of our Glasgow flat was smooth, without any problems. Millie coordinated everything professionally and there were no hitches. We were delighted with the service received from all staff and of course the speed of the sale itself. Excellent experience.

Brilliant.

From the first visit to the actual sale was seamless.
We cannot praise Carol enough. Excellent communication throughout, very pleasant, very easy to speak to and very professional. She was brilliant.
Photos excellent.
Viewings done with ease.
We changed to Clyde from another estate agent and the difference, positively, was massive. We are so glad we did this. From no viewings in a month, to 3 viewings hours after the house was marketed.

Smooth and complete professionals

I cannot recommend Clyde high enough, the professionalism of both Rachel and Jack throughout the sale of my property was superb. Their knowledge and their dedication made me feel supported every step of the way. Clyde ensured great photos to show off the place, a good number of viewings and I was able to secure a great price for the sale of my property.  They both made what can be a stressful experience completely smooth and manageable. Thanks again!

Horrible horrible company

Horrible horrible company! Clyde property Clarkston Road, Glasgow Scotland. We lived in their property like proper adultsfor 18 months, took absolute care, they also sent us a message saying we were excellent tenants after saying they expected a fair wear and tear, but went ahead to want to charge a 920 pounds from my deposit.

Cleaning - £300 : for cleaning a tiny dust off the glass of a dishwasher?
Garden - £280 how much is a mow?
Decoration £180 so you charge us to repaint a house? So you put it all on us?
Screw hole fix - £60
Bed slat - £50 Bed slat was given to us broken but this company had the heart to want to put it on us?
Toilet roll holder - £50 Same as this toilet roll handler was also given to us broken.

Total - £920

First, there are no children in that house, two very clean and careful adults who were hardly home.
Wow a house already cleaned they said the door to the dishwasher, we never used, things that were broken and left that way for us, we were being charged for it! How dishonest can a company be?

After saying a tenant moved in on the Monday the 4th of May and mailed me again to say they are going to clean the dish washer handle.

We even agreed to go back and clean the glass of the dishwasher as pinstripe said the glass neither wee cleaning, asked us to come between 11/12 got there and property was locked that the handyman were rather there at 8am as opposed to the 11/12 originally given to us. Called them and they said they couldn’t reach the team.

Your deposit is protected within a government approved Tenancy Deposit Scheme, and where there is a disagreement between a landlord and tenant regarding proposed deductions, the scheme provides an independent adjudication service that reviews the evidence submitted by both parties before making any decision.

The figures referenced in your review represent the landlord's proposed claim and are not amounts that Clyde Property can deduct or award. We appreciate that disputes of this nature can be frustrating, particularly where there are differing views regarding the property's condition at check-out and responsibility for specific items.

We understand that you believe certain items were pre existing and that you took good care of the property during your tenancy. These are precisely the types of matters that the independent deposit adjudication process is designed to consider fairly and impartially.

Until Next Time

Very good efficient and professional service with good communication. Second time in a year my family have appointed Clyde and would do so again hesitation. Very happy that no matter who I spoke to all the staff were up to date with progress-reassuring!

Buyers and Sellers - Avoid

Based on my recent experiences as a prospective buyer, I would strongly advise both buyers and especially sellers to avoid using Clyde Properties.
I attempted to arrange viewings with them on two separate occasions, and both interactions were consistently disappointing. Despite advertising “appointment only” viewings, they offered only open viewings. At the first property, it was clear that many attendees believed they had private appointments. The agent on site took no interest in the viewing, offered no information about the property, and repeatedly responded with “refer to the home report” to even basic questions. They appeared unfamiliar with the property and disengaged throughout.
A second attempt to view another property was just as frustrating. Although the listing went live early in the week, the only viewings offered were during working hours on Friday and Monday. Despite requesting an alternative time well before the closing date, they made no effort to arrange one.
Having sold a home through a different agency, the contrast in service quality was stark. Clyde Properties showed little willingness to work with buyers, and based on many other reviews I have since read, this seems to be a common complaint. For sellers, this lack of engagement is particularly concerning; an agency uninterested in supporting buyers will inevitably impact interest and offers.
With so many other agencies offering far better service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Personally, I will avoid properties listed with Clyde in the future, and it appears many others feel the same.

The team at Clyde Property at Byres Road were fantastic. The team were extremely warm, yet professional and provided an excellent experience overall. As years of previous experience as a manger in customer service, I wanted to make a special mention for Rachel's customer service which was exceptional.
