Unacceptable attitude from management

I ordered 16 boxes of croissants for a special breakfast that I had organised with my students who had won an academic competition. I went for the click and collect option in West Gosford NSW. I chose the 8 am slot to be on time at school. I had to wait for over 20 minutes for my click and collect before it was ready. I was assured that on the following day I would have the 4 boxes by 8 am. I organised the breakfast over two days.on the following day, no staff member seemed to know about the order. I went and saw two managers who said my order has been cancelled by them 10 minutes before collecting time. I received no text, no email. The two managers I talked to said there were no more croissants in stock, even if I placed my order two weeks before. They never said sorry nor were they apologetic. Totally unacceptable behaviour from two senior managers.I had to tell the kids at school who had prepared everything for our celebration that there was no food!

Youd think a huge multinational would…

Youd think a huge multinational would have a half decent app to make it easy to log missing items from online shopping orders. Just spent an hour trying to get missing items redelivered but instead got a credit when i asked not to get a credit.

Just got my first and last online order…

Just got my first and last online order due to my vehicle not working. Delivery guy was great. Order came when said. But who ever did my shop... Get ya eyes checked. Read the dates on products. Never again will I do this. Fancy giving me products that are about to expire. Disgusting. And $2 for 4 half size bags. And the cost of products that I am going to have throw out because there is no way I can use them before they go out of date - live and learn. Yes first world problems but damn I paid for a terrible service so I want to warn others against it.

When i rang to talk to a customer represetative to explain i had missing items in my home deliver she would not listen to my issue kept saying sorry and would not reinburse me for my missing items i will not be buying homr delivery items from cokes again. No resolve or credit for my items.

I placed an order on 6/5/26

I placed an order on 6/5/26. $213.50 was taken from my account. After my order was picked it came to $174.84, so no problem there.

Why then, was the original amount of $213.50 taken again today??? This transaction has overdrawn my bank account. It is the second time this has happened to me and I am NOT happy. I can not afford to pay for my groceries twice, I don't have that kind of money.

As if they aren't in enough trouble with the ACCC.

Some of the delivery partners Coles use…

Some of the delivery partners Coles use are disgusting. Had a grub deliver some groceries. Left my driveway and parked on the road for a few minutes outside my house, it was 6pm. He threw a bottle full of his urine out the window along with some napkins. It may be common practice in India, but we don't do that in Australia mate!

DO NOT GO WITH COLES PET INSURANCE!! i've been loyally paying $100 month for two years and I had to get a simple benign lump removed and they came back denying claim for $1930. because somwhere on page 20 something of the PDS they only cover very limited illnesses. I found other insurers with wider covergae and am going with them check specific illness cover first. Also: Limited Coverage Options: Routine care, dental, and preventive treatments are not included in standard policies and may require higher-tier, more expensive plans. Upfront Payments: You usually need to pay the vet bill upfront and wait for reimbursement, rather than having the insurer pay the vet directly.

Coles takes your money and doesn’t deliver

I made an order online on Thursday 30th April which came to $63.55 including delivery and bagging charges for delivery Tuesday 5thMay. Coles then placed a pending transaction on my account for that amount. On Sunday the 3rd of May I wanted to change my delivery day to Wednesday 6th May and to change some of my products. The new total was $63.05. Today Tuesday 5th May I receive a message that payment had been declined and my order was cancelled. Coles already had a pending payment for greater than the new amount of the groceries. I tried using the app chat and got absolutely nowhere so rang their customer care line. After being on hold for several minutes I finally spoke to a human who could not seem to grasp the simple fact that Coles already was holding more money than the total of the order. I asked if this person was in Australia and was told they were not. I asked to speak to a supervisor in Australia was placed on hold and then disconnected after thirty seconds. I then located a number in Melbourne and rang that number where I spoke to someone who I still do not believe was in Australia despite her saying she was in Melbourne. I explained what the issue was and she said she would put me through to the customer care team. I was once again on hold and after being told that it would be ten minutes I gave up. So Coles have a hold on my money and I have no groceries. I’m interested to see how long it will take them to release the hold on my money. Now my order was small and it wasn’t a large amount of money but imagine if this was a family doing their weekly shop and now they find themselves out of pocket a few hundred dollars with no groceries, no way to pay for replacements and waiting on Coles to release their funds. It’s ridiculous. In the days of actual customer service you would have been contacted to work out a resolution not just left high and dry.

Don't understand all the negative stuff here.

I have been using Coles Online delivery service since the COVID-19 times and in all those years I have had nothing worse happen than a couple of broken eggs and one incident of unsuitable substitutions which was my fault anyway for allowing the items to be substituted. The deliveries are always on time and the items are fresh. Quick sale specials are great value too. I also use Woolworths delivery and they are good as well so I have not physically visited a supermarket in about five years. Like most men I hate shopping so why not just sit on the sofa and do it at home in 10 mins?

POOR customer service

They put special on them they charge the full price and when the receipt goes to your phone you can’t check it till it comes through after a few days. When you phone to get a refund they say bring the product back. That would be great if you don’t use it before you see the receipt. Poor customer service. You should be ashamed ripping pensioners off.

online shopping for the second time, first time my credit card was charged twice because they had no stock of one item and i had to wait two weeks for the whole amount of order refund back to my card, I decided against my better judgment to try again two years later, after placing my order i was then informed i would have to join Coles plus at $18 a month but could opt out if i wanted to at a later date...i decided to cancel order and never use Coles again

For all you cooking needs

For all you cooking needs, special celebrations and festive days, Coles has it.
My favourite are the Two piece Shanks. Within 35 minutes of oven cooking, what can I say other than, so juicy and so flavoursome. Next to creamy mashed potatoes and green peas, along with a lovely salad, you will have a meal fit for a King or Queen.

multiple complaints to support ignored

After multiple complaints to support, two complaints to regulatory bodies, I finally received a measly response.
They messed up bad, lied to me for two days, charged me and never delivered my order.
I complained to both my state regulator and ACCC and only then did I get a response. I recommend as many people as possible do the same, also.
I now shop elsewhere entirely.

False information and illegal practice

I subscribe to Coles plus saver to get a 10% discount every month. This month my discount was not applied as it wouldn’t show in the app, through no fault of my own or lack of trying (chat and email) to have it applied before I placed the order. I was charged in full after I was advised by the online chat to place the order and was promised then the discount would be applied. After days and several emails I was credited the money to my account although I wanted a refund since I was wrongfully charged but they will only offer a credit. So, against consumer law and due to no fault of my own I can now only spend the money that should be in my pocket not theirs, at Coles online. But, I will be forced to spend more than this considering minimum order is $50 and then with delivery fees added on top. Effectively they are ripping me off twice.

Decent overall

Decent overall, but not amazing. The store usually has a good range of products and reasonable prices, but it can feel a bit disorganized at times and stock isn’t always available. Staff are hit-or-miss—some are helpful, others not so much. It’s fine for a quick shop, just not the best experience every time.

I have a Mastercard A/c somewhere

I have spent over 7 days attempting to view my A/c to no avail the system cobbled together by the geniuses has to be operated to believe. You have to identify yourself as a human at least4 times if you have a mobile {GOD HELP YOU IF YOU DONT] nothing would function over 7 codes sent to your mobile and still no access and if your lucky ringing takes it toll on your time then after you have found out that Coles have closed all the computer acesses and you do not have a chance to put your case you may get an operator willing to put your case BUT rest assured the answer you get will only let you know that which you have done a 100 times before with no success. I still await a person capable to rectify my problem now 12 days out .

Coles Customer Care doesnt help at all!
They make so many millions a year and couldnt give me a credit for $50?
I spend over $400 a week
