SCAMERS!!!! AVOID!!! Before undergoing my first hair transplant, I was clearly informed that I would require a second procedure to achieve the expected final result. I accepted the first surgery with the understanding that it was only the first stage of a two-stage treatment plan and that the second transplant would complete the process. I have now been informed that your clinic is refusing to perform the second transplant because there are not enough grafts remaining in my donor area. This is extremely concerning, as this issue should have been assessed and discussed before my first procedure. Had I been informed from the outset that I might not have sufficient donor grafts to complete the second transplant, I would never have agreed to the first surgery. I made my decision based on the information and professional advice provided by medical team I trusted expertise and expected that any limitations regarding my donor area would have been identified before treatment began. Absolutely waste of money and time ! Very poor decision to use this company!!! AVOID AT ANY COST !!!!

1 year has now passed since my hair transplant at Cosmedica, and this is my honest experience.

This procedure was only meant to be a touch-up: improve the density from my first hair transplant and slightly refine the hairline. I was told I would need around 1,500 grafts.

The first red flag was that there is no proper consultation until the day of surgery. I waited in a room with many other patients, making it clear that they perform a huge number of transplants every day. I met Dr. Acar for only a few minutes to draw the hairline before being sent to the operating room. I never met or spoke to the people who would actually perform my transplant until the procedure started. They had no understanding of my expectations or goals. For such an important procedure, I believe the surgeon should be actively involved throughout the consultation and treatment.

The second major issue was the donor extraction. Despite having excellent donor density at the back of my head, they removed a large number of grafts from the sides. One year later, my sides are visibly thinner due to overharvesting.

After the procedure, I was told they had extracted 3,000 grafts—double the amount I had been told I needed for a simple touch-up. This was extremely concerning. It felt like they harvested far more grafts than necessary instead of carefully selecting only what was needed.

The aftercare was also disappointing. No one contacted me to follow up on my progress. I had to reach out myself, sending photos and expressing concerns about the poor density and overharvesting. My concerns were simply dismissed as “normal.”

Now, one year later, the density has improved slightly, but the new hairline is still thin on one side. More importantly, my donor area has been unnecessarily damaged. Because so many grafts were taken, a third transplant is now much more difficult, and I will likely need SMP to restore the appearance of my donor area.

Overall, my experience was very disappointing. Cosmedica operates like a high-volume hair mill, performing countless transplants every day. While they complete the procedures, I did not experience the level of precision, care, or quality control I expected. Hair transplants are permanent, and your donor grafts are limited. Choose a clinic where an experienced hair transplant surgeon is personally involved in every stage of the process—not just for a few minutes before surgery.

I genuinely regret choosing Cosmedica and would not recommend them.

I chose Cosmedica because of its reputation and expected professional treatment and post-operative support. Unfortunately, my personal experience has been disappointing.

My main concern before surgery was the crown area. After the procedure, I was repeatedly told to wait because the result would continue to improve. I followed all post-operative instructions and waited for almost 20 months.

Despite spending approximately €3,500 on the procedure, plus additional costs for flights, accommodation, medications, and vitamins, I am disappointed with my final result.

I repeatedly requested an official medical assessment of my case. To this day, I have not received a professional evaluation from Cosmedica’s medical or Quality Control Department. My emails have either gone unanswered or I received only general responses that did not address my concerns.

I encourage anyone considering this clinic to carefully research all available information and make an informed decision before proceeding.

I was looking for a clinic to get a hair transplant and I found Cosmedica great reviews, so I decided to go to Istanbul and get my hair done and I’m not gonna lie, I chose the best clinic in Turkey.
Its been 3 months since I’ve done it and I like the results I’m seeing, not only that but I still have contact with Cosmedica Aftercare Team if I have questions about my treatment they really care for you in the whole process, Aylin is one of them, very helpful and attentive always respond fast when I need it, to answer all my questions with knowlege and patience

I just recently went to Turkey to get a hair transplant . This is something I’ve researched and have been working on for over a year . I wanted to make sure I was getting the best quality work and the best treatment . I was emailing Cosmedica and the rep Misra answered every question every concern I never felt like a bother . That made the decision an easy one seeing the service to even a non patient would receive.
When I arrived at the airport after a long flight I found my pick up ride and was promptly fought to the facility where they had some questions and had an in person consult . They asked me what I wanted out of it and made a plan and wanted my approval and satisfaction.
The second day it was procedure day I was treated so nicely and well taken care of . I received 5500 grafts . They took some grafts from my neck with my permission . It’s a wait and see for the results as it’s only been a month . They supplied me with after care products and some instructions .
Besides the actually experience prior and during the procedure I would like to talk about my aftercare . It’s nice to see that they don’t just take your money and perform the procedure and then forget about you . Well I’m here to tell you the aftercare is exceptional and exceeded my expectations to say the least . I’ve been communicating with Aylin since I came home . He guided me through all the steps of recovery and answered every single question with complete detail and the sensitivity that I needed after such a life changing experience. I would message him when I came home from work which is around 1 am in New York . I would wake up the next morning and I was sure to have a reply every time without delay . I might need to go back next year for some fill in the crown which I didn’t do this procedure because I already maxed out my grafts for a single procedure. However when I do go back I know I’m in good hands with transport and procedure and most certainly after care products. My hope is this company appreciates and values the people who make patients feel welcome and comfortable and informed .

I had my hair transplant procedure done at this clinic. The facilities were state of the art and the staff was very professional and supportive.
Even though I chose to handle the accommodation and transfer by myself, the rest of the logistics were handled very well. My person of contact(Ms. Hazal) made sure to keep me up to date with the schedule, which made the whole trip go smoothly.
I would like to extend my gratitude to Dr. Acar and his team for all their support, both before and after the procedure. Writing this a month after the transplant, I'm expecting great results.
If I had to point out one downside, it would be the fact that the anesthetic started to wear off nearing the end of the surgery. That caused some discomfort, but I guess it's to be expected for a procedure that lasted about 8 hours, if not more...
It's all in the past now and a good result will be all worth it. I would definitely recommend Cosmedica to anyone considering a hair transplant.

I have recently had the experience of a transplant. After a lot of researching I decided to go with the Cosmedica hair transplant team. I am so happy with my decision. They are so professional in every way from giving precise instructions for pick up at the Airport to pick up at your hotel to the clinic. I was pretty nervous on the day of my procedure, but the team at Cosmedica including Dr Acur made me feel at ease. I thought Hazal from the Cosmedica hospitality team was a huge help to me. It’s been 2 weeks post procedure now and I am still getting frequent messages from the team regarding the follow up procedures. I thought the procedure itself was smooth and easy. What really stood out for me in the experience was how friendly and professional the staff were.

Hazal at the clinic was excellent. And the nurses in the OR also.

Dr. Acar was a calming presence who gave me confidence in the ability of his team to carry out a top-level procedure. It’s no surprise his office has so many top footballer’s kits signed on display.

Fantastic experience. Couldn't recommend more. Cosmedica provided a 5 star hotel and looked after me from the moment I landed to the moment I left the country. Airport transfer was seamless, as well as transfers to and from the hotel to the clinic.
The process was stress free and felt very professional.

I am writing this 1 month post treatment and the results have exceeded my expectations. The aftercare has also been excellent. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Acar definitely knows what he's doing and the staff were very friendly, especially Mert. An easy 5 star.
