Imagine the scene. It’s 8.25 and there is chaos, half filed boxes, overfilled black bags, and an atmosphere of panic! The doorbell rings and it’s Ed and his team. Ed says “don’t worry, take it easy, we are here now and we will do it for you”. And do it they did. Calmly, politely,and carefully they took control, packed everything, and got on the road. At the other end I was late, held up in traffic. But they were fine about it and quickly got all our stuff in the new place. What can I say. They are everything you could dream of in a removal team. It is impossible to know what a stressful and awful experience the process of buying and selling property in England can be until you have gone through it. If you are lucky enough to get to the end of it, the final piece of the puzzle is the move. We looked for a company we felt was at the right price, not too cheap and not too expensive, who seems nice and we felt you can trust to look after your belongings.
What we realised in the process of moving was that we hadn’t considered what a difficult and emotional process it is, particularly on top of all that we had gone through to get there.
Davis and Mac have thought about this. They totally understand it. Ed who led the team was fantastic. They arrive into your chaos and stress and bring calm and understanding. They know exactly what to say to help and put you at ease.
In the booking process Sunita was great, answering all our questions and also up until our moving day.
We chose to pack ourselves and realised the night before that we would not be finished in time. Do not worry, Davis and Mac come in with boxes etc. to finish packing up all the last bits. We felt on reflection that if we ever had to move again, we would ask the movers to pack for us.
We cannot recommend them highly enough, there are no words to describe the skill and understanding that they have and the calmness and order they bring. They capture something very special.
I unfortunately had to go to work after everything was loaded into the vans, so I wasn’t at our new place when they arrived. They took a lovely photo of my husband with Ed and the van. I felt disappointed that I had not been there for that as it is a lovely momento of a special day. Thank you.

We were extremely happy with the service from Davis & Mac. The whole move was handled very professionally: it was well planned, communication was excellent throughout, and we always felt that we knew exactly what was going on.

This was a significant move for us after 10 years of living in our flat, as we were moving into a family home, so it was important to feel in safe hands. The team were considerate with our belongings, careful in how they handled everything, and very respectful throughout.

What we particularly appreciated was their flexibility and their ability to make the necessary resources available when needed. Nothing felt chaotic or rushed — everything was handled calmly, efficiently and with real care.

One of the best businesses I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Absolutely everything they do, they do with care, consideration, and a genuine desire to provide the best service they possibly can. From the thoroughness of the initial quote, the flexibility of the booking team when we were unsure of our completion date, and then the care, speed & conscientiousness of the guys packing & unpacking on moving day, everyone we dealt with was 10/10. We ended up having an incredibly stressful move, and very nearly didn’t complete on the day, but D&M were unbelievable throughout and genuinely went above and beyond at every stage. They were the best part of the move bar none and we would recommend them to anyone. A huge thank you to the whole team and sorry this has taken us so long to write!

We really cannot say this enough but Davis & Mac are absolutely incredible. They were phenomenal. We were absolutely blown away, right from the start, the process was brilliant, we felt the quote was very reasonable and the process of sorting out dates and times was smooth and efficient. Come moving day though is where we were really blown away. We had a brilliant purple van turn up and the fab team quickly got to work moving and packing everything away with a level of care that we could have only dreamed off. Ed particularly put us right at ease, it had been such a stressful selling experience and we were all frankly a bit on edge. Ed and his team put us right at ease, nothing was too much, there was a solution for anything and we just felt really well taken care of. Moving is one of the most stressful things you can do but what could have been a stressful day was instead full of laughs, kindness and felt like we were in control finally. Don’t hesitate at all - use David & Mac for your big move - you won’t regret it, we certainly didn’t. Davis and Mac were everything we needed.

We moved the contents of our 2 bed flat when we relocated from London to Stockport. Sunita Tulsie was great - accommodating several changes of date and plan as we had some chain-related delays.

Kieran arrived on time on move day and couldn't have been more friendly or diligent. The estimated volume was bang-on, which is good going from a video survey. Costs were as quoted.

Davis and Mac helped us move house last week and they were phenomenal. They made a house move with a toddler and baby completely stress free. They were incredibly speedy and efficient but took such good care of all our belongings. Ed, Liam and the team went above and beyond and helped us get straight on that first day. We only wish we’d used their unpacking service!

From start to finish the team were very professional. The communication was great, expectations were clear and the delivered perfectly, exactly as they said they would.

The best money I have EVER spent. The entire team (admin, packers, movers) were incredible. The communication was great, they were respectful, helpful, professional, punctual, and all so friendly and kind. Worth every single penny. I couldn’t recommend them more!
