I have been with DeVere Acuma for the past 4 years and more recently with Sam who has been very proactive with regular communication, by providing options to diversify and improve my portfolio as well as advices for long term investments (retirement, kids' education...). Overall very happy with the service so far.

The deVere team have been a massive help in guiding me through my life admin - Sam with the Kiwisaver, and Mak with the insurance. Both have been very down to earth, really transparent and describe things in a way that's very easy to decipher. Would recommend to anyone wanting a bit of help in these departments!
Amanda took over the management of my Devere account well over 5 years ago, when the prior advisers left my region (SE of France), and since then we do all reviews together by phone. The reviews are well prepared for and Amanda maintains an Excel file (shared with me) to track my fund performances over time. Any question that I have or that requires follow-up is always looked into and answered by Amanda.
In terms of the prior financial advice received from Devere (pre Amanda) it has been mixed with some high fees products (obviously with healthy commissions for DeVere) proposed initially, back in 2012-2014. I am somewhat financially literate and steered clear of most of those, and had a reasonable performamnce form most of the investment choices I bought in to via DeVere Momentum platform at the time.
I moved part of my investment portfolio elsewhere
(out of DeVere/Moventum) by ~2016, but have always kept my Hansard Assurance Vie with DeVere as I find Amanda very supportive with this policy-despite it is no longer available for new clients in Europe (through no fault of DeVere's). Hansard Europe are very difficult to deal with and they do not support the products well; this has created a significant admin and communication burden for Amanda to assist me with and I cannot imagine many advisers would be so supportive. We have just successfully completed a partial withdrawal from the Policy (my kids are now in Uni), which Amanda has been very patient with over the last months.
I mainly research my own investment choices (sectors, regions, industries). But Amanda puts in the hours to help convert this into fund selections and navigate the French aspects (implications like taxes) and the good administration of the policies and funds we select.
