I ordered the hardwood shutters and yes…
I ordered the hardwood shutters and yes they do take a long time to come but I already had blinds so was not a problem to wait.
I was nervous about ordering shutters for the whole front of the house but the price was extremely good and so I went ahead. The shutters arrived on time very well packed and I was more than happy with the quality and ease of fitting them.
The customer service was also excellent as well. I will definitely be ordering more for the rear of the house.

Great Shutters and Customer Service
We purchased 3 sets of shutters from DIY Shutters. The order was placed and fast forward a few months and our shutters arrived exceptionally well packaged and easy to fit. I managed to fit 2 windows in a few hours and they look fantastic. I did have one minor issue with my remaining window (my mistake) where I didn’t account for a kitchen tap being in the way of the fan-fold shutter I’d ordered. I contacted customer service asking to purchase some additional hinges so I could adapt the shutters to open independently. Within an hour (over a weekend as well) Alex emailed back and said some hinges would be dispatched at no extra cost and that should arrived within 3-5 working days, fantastic!!
I can’t recommend these shutters enough, the cost and quality is very good. Communications were very good throughout, from ordering, to updates, to shipping tracking. Back this up with great customer service and you can’t lose.

Huge thanks to Aditi!
Mistakes happen and it's how they are dealt with that really matters. I cannot give them 5/5 becuase due to an IT error when ordering (a not inconsiderable amount of shutters!), they were all wrong. Long story short, Aditi in Customer Services was an absolute star and literally owned the entire process to get it all sorted from start to finish - she really is a star and deserves a great deal of credit as my patience would have expired much sooner without her help. Anyway, all resolved in the end - I've seen a few reviews for poor customer service and I don't get it, my experience was fantastic. Product is actually fairly well built too. All in all, I'd use again, all thanks to Aditi!

Great service from start to finish

Perfect DIY Shutters
I found the measuring instructions straight forward, but I did ask a company representative some advice before ordering. They told me what I wanted to know.
On the other hand, when I got the shutters there were two extra clips with the pack; as I am quite handy I had no problem understanding how and where they should be located and used. This might cause a problem to less handy customers. So, I think the instructions that come with the pack should include this process or put a video on the website showing how to locate and fix them in place. Overall I thought they were very good, but as with all things, time will tell.
