Had a lovely flat that we really enjoyed living in for the year as students. DJ Alexander however often failed to fix issues that we informed them about, or it took them months and months. In the end, our deposit was halved on return to us, despite the report we were sent indicating good cleanliness. And Alison at DJ Alexander despite furthering the process along ignored our frustrations.

I had an excellent experience with Jessica Leggate at DJ Alexander, Aberdeen. From the time we were tenants until we successfully completed our move into our own home, Jessica provided exceptional professional service.
She was incredibly thorough, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire process. What stood out most was how proactive she was in keeping me informed after we moved out of the property. She regularly sent updates and detailed reports regarding the progress of everything, giving me complete peace of mind.
This level of communication and professionalism is something I had never experienced with previous letting agents. Jessica went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled efficiently and transparently. I truly appreciate her dedication and would highly recommend both Jessica and DJ Alexander to anyone looking for a reliable and professional letting agent.

Coming from England, we didn't know the process of buying in Scotland, but Caitlyn Meaney really took time to explain everything and guide us along the journey. It wasn't an easy one, as we had a few bids rejected, but she was always really patient with us, and we finally bought our dream home. Then Kerry Temple managed to close the process in just 5 weeks, which was incredible and again her attention to detail made sure we understood everything involved. Really pleased with the whole service; couldn't have wished for more.

In the process of renting my first flat in Edinburgh as a fresh graduate, and Cameron Lindsay has been a great correspondent- providing prompt and really helpful guidance on accepting an offer! Jen Cabrera was also amazing with showing us the flat, again being helpful and giving great advice with the application process.

We’re renting through DJ Alexander and had a maintenance issue with the gas hob in the property. Lizzie Mackenzie, Property Relationship Manager, responded helpfully and suggested a practical fix, including a clear video example. The issue was resolved quickly without needing a visit.

The agent Katie was lovely at the viewing and was very knowledgeable followed up by Connor who was able to answer any questions i had and make the process less stressful.

Adam Sweeny came to inspect my flat and was really helpful at talking me through some concerns I was having. He took his time to check everything over and truly is an asset to the team.

Holly was extremely helpful over the phone. I called in asking for advice about renting a property in Edinburgh as I have not done this for a long time. She was very patient and clear with her help. It’s made me definitely want to rent through and use DJ Alexander services.

I have relocated from South Africa to Edinburgh and the staff at DJ Alexander have been very informative and helpful, considering I had no idea what to do or how to setup my rental. The journey started with Abigail Thorburn and then Ellen Clow got me settled into my rental.

Natalie and her team have always given good advice and managed all properties in a professional manner and to my satisfaction. Natalie is always easily contactable and comes back in a reasonable time with all the answers. All change overs in tenancy are a smooth operation with all information sent at regular intervals and maximising rental income.

I had a really positive experience with Emma Wright during my lettings application. She was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond throughout the process. Everything was handled smoothly and clearly, which made the whole experience easy and stress-free. I really appreciated her support and would happily recommend her.

Caroline was fantastic at our viewing. She was there before we arrived , explained everything about the flat, area and process. My daughter was quite nervous, but Caroline guided through the whole process. Very efficient and friendly.

DJ Alexander failed to make adequate responses and maintenance. Black mould was found in the bathroom, and after years of repeated maintenance requests and logs, they only ever successfully had contractors come to the flat but never actioned any work. It is evident that DJ Alexander has grown beyond their staff and are failing to ensure safe homes for their renters. DJ Alexander is also a nightmare to contact to actually receive support as the people per case constantly change, which can potentially be inferred to a high turnover of their staff. Upon request of receiving the Landlords email - the request was never responded to. If not for moving out, legal action was the next step. I am deeply disappointed as I was a tenant for over 3 years who always paid on time, cared for the flat, and was still treated as nothing more than a cash cow. Would avoid at all cost, but is is getting difficult due to their growing monopoly on the Edinburgh rental market.
