Best working collar for Dachshund! Easy to work with and fits perfectly with the neck size. Having also vibrancies not only teasers is a great benefit. We use mainly the vibrancies.
Good quality stim, reliable, long battery life, good accessory selection. I like older collars with magnetic silent on/off switch, remote squares, smaller size remotes like plus/mini and cue.

Not up to expectations
1. Disappointed that the collar only works while the app is running on my phone.
2. The boundaries seem to drift.
3. The apps map is very inaccurate so during the boundary mapping a great deal of experimentation must be done to get the boundary close to where you want it.
Bottom line... I haven't had enough faith in the system to actually use it on my dog yet.

App dependency: This one is actually a common misunderstanding, so it's worth clarifying — once your boundaries are configured, the collar runs independently of the app. You only need your phone nearby (within ~10m Bluetooth range) to see alerts on screen; the fence itself keeps working even if the app is closed or your phone is out of range. If you're seeing the collar stop enforcing boundaries when the app isn't open, that suggests something in the setup needs a second look, and we'd like to fix that for you rather than have you assume that's how it's meant to work.
Boundary drift: GPS-based virtual fences do have some natural signal variance, which is exactly why the GPS Fence includes a main boundary plus two backup boundaries — to build in a margin for that drift. Drift is usually more noticeable on smaller properties or near obstructions (trees, buildings), so if you can share your property size and layout, we can help you set boundaries that account for it properly.
Map accuracy during setup: You're right that the in-app map can require some trial and error to line up with your actual property boundaries — this is a known characteristic of GPS-based fencing (vs. buried wire), and we'd rather walk you through it than leave you to figure it out alone.

I have a lakeland terrier patterdale terrier cross who was refusing to come bk if he took after something like ducks or just sometimes would not come bk wen I called him he wud eventually. Since I started using the dogtra é collar it's been a game changer I only have to use it on certain occasions when I need his full attention. I'm a couple weeks in and so far I'm more than happy. I just use the boost function.. Also it's completely waterproof because my dog has been swimming with it on too. If you hav a dog that needs some encouragement for a recall then I would try this.

J'ai récemment acheté le Dogtra IQ Mini…
J'ai récemment acheté le Dogtra IQ Mini pour un chien de 19 kg, un croisement de whippet au pelage court et très lisse.
Dogtra Europe s'est montré très serviable et a répondu à toutes mes questions tout au long du processus d'achat.
Cependant, je ne suis pas entièrement satisfait du collier Dogtra.
1. L'appareil est bien trop lourd pour un chien à poil lisse et au cou long – et le collier fourni glisse tellement que j'ai dû acheter un collier en tissu pour empêcher l'appareil de se déplacer constamment de la position recommandée sur le cou du chien. Si je l'avais serré davantage, cela lui aurait causé une gêne.
2. L’absence d’écran électronique est absurde, car il est impossible de régler et de verrouiller définitivement le niveau de stimulation ; dans la pratique, il faut deviner quel niveau convient le mieux à son chien. On ne voit pas vraiment le voyant lumineux sur la télécommande, et j’ai du mal à croire que cet appareil ait été fabriqué sans écran. Il est beaucoup trop facile de tourner la molette par inadvertance, et il faut vérifier à chaque fois que l’on appuie sur le bouton de stimulation pour s’assurer que le niveau est le même, ce qui rend son utilisation très aléatoire et très insatisfaisante.
3. Je n’arrive pas à croire qu’ils utilisent encore cette molette sur les derniers modèles qui viennent de sortir.
4. Je trouve que, bien qu’il s’agisse du plus petit modèle de la gamme, il reste beaucoup trop encombrant et lourd pour un petit chien actif ; je ne le recommanderais pas.
I recently bought the Dogtra IQ Mini for a 19 kg dog, a short-haired, very smooth-coated whippet cross.
Dogtra Europe were very helpful and answered all my questions throughout the purchasing process.
However, I am not entirely satisfied with the Dogtra collar.
1. The device is far too heavy for a smooth-coated dog with a long neck – and the collar supplied slips so much that I had to buy a fabric collar to prevent the device from constantly shifting from the recommended position on the dog’s neck. If I’d tightened it any further, it would have caused him discomfort.
2. The lack of an electronic display is absurd, as it’s impossible to set and permanently lock the stimulation level; in practice, you have to guess which level suits your dog best. You can’t really see the indicator light on the remote control, and I find it hard to believe that this device was manufactured without a display. It’s far too easy to turn the dial by accident, and you have to check every time you press the stimulation button to make sure the level is the same, which makes using it very hit-and-miss and highly unsatisfactory.
3. I can’t believe they’re still using this dial on the latest models that have just come out.
4. I find that, although it’s the smallest model in the range, it’s still far too bulky and heavy for a small, active dog; I wouldn’t recommend it.

Le poids et le glissement : le récepteur iQ Mini est en effet l'un des plus compacts et légers de la gamme (environ 37 g), mais sur un chien au cou fin et au poil ras comme un whippet, même un appareil léger peut sembler se déplacer si la sangle n'est pas ajustée au plus près de sa morphologie. Votre astuce du collier en tissu pour le maintenir en est une bonne illustration ; nous remontons ce retour pour mieux accompagner ce type de morphologie à l'avenir (guide d'ajustement, accessoires dédiés).
L'absence d'écran et la molette : vous avez raison, l'iQ Mini fonctionne avec une molette plutôt qu'un écran numérique, pour couvrir 100 niveaux de stimulation dans un format très compact. Nous comprenons que cela demande de vérifier le réglage régulièrement, surtout sans verrouillage — c'est une contrainte réelle du modèle, et votre remarque est transmise à notre équipe produit.
3 & 4. Sur les modèles plus récents : vous n'avez pas tort, d'autres références plus récentes de la gamme évoluent sur ces aspects. L'iQ Mini reste positionné comme le modèle le plus compact et accessible, pas nécessairement le plus abouti en ergonomie — c'est un compromis que nous documenterons mieux pour les futurs acheteurs.
