Mail Fraud

Absolute scam. This company's practice is the definition of MAIL FRAUD,

Mail fraud and wire fraud are terms used in the United States to describe the use of a physical (e.g., the U.S. Postal Service) or electronic (e.g., a phone, a telegram, a fax, or the Internet) mail system to defraud another, and are U.S. federal crimes. Jurisdiction is claimed by the federal government if the illegal activity crosses interstate or international borders.

Thank you for sharing your concern. We want to address the mail fraud allegation directly and factually.

Domain Listings, LLC sends USPS Marketing Mail — a postage class that requires prescreening and content eligibility verification by the United States Postal Service before it can be sent. Our mailer has been reviewed and approved by the USPS and falls squarely within the guidelines for marketing mail. Mail fraud is a serious federal allegation and it is not one that applies here. A solicitation that is prescreened, approved, and delivered through an official USPS marketing mail program is by definition not mail fraud.

Our mailer contains all required disclaimers, including a clear and prominent statement that it is not a bill, that we are not a domain registrar, and that there is absolutely no obligation to pay. These are not fine print additions — they are standard, required disclosures that are present on every piece of mail we send.

We understand that unsolicited mail can be frustrating and we respect that this service is not for everyone. If you would like to be removed from our mailing list please contact us at info@domainlistings.directory and we will take care of it immediately.

Received a "bill" in the mail

Received a "bill" in the mail. Looked legit so i paid it. Was informed it has nothing to do with our actual website. Went to the website and the info page stated we could easily get a refund. I'm not sure their definition of easy but the phone rang the first time and was disconnected. Called multiple times following and it gave a busy signal. Finally reached someone after 10x dialing. The rep was absolutely nasty in attitude. When i struggled to hear her on the phone, she hung up on me. I called back and had busy signal for another 5 call attempts. Got back through again and was hung up on because i didn't have last 4 of card ready. Went through the same process many times. She was nasty again and I told her I was sorry she was having such a rough day. Hung up on me again. Again, had to dial multiple times to get back through. Had my "member ID #" for her and she said it can be 10 days before refund is back in account. She hung up immediately on me when i was thanking her for her help. I hope she has a better life. The world is hard enough as it is to have to live every day so angry.

Thank you for sharing this and we are deeply sorry for everything you went through. Reading this was difficult because it describes exactly the kind of experience no customer should ever have, and we want to be straightforward — there is no acceptable explanation for the behavior you described. Being hung up on repeatedly, being met with hostility when you were nothing but patient and kind, and having to redial ten times just to reach someone is inexcusable. The fact that you responded to all of it with grace and empathy says a great deal about you.

We want to confirm that your refund has been initiated and if you have not seen it within 10 business days please call us at 702-998-0222 and ask for Audra, referencing this review. She will personally ensure it is taken care of.

We are actively working to improve the customer service experience and reviews like yours, as hard as they are to read, are exactly what holds us accountable to doing that. We are sorry we let you down and we hope you will give us the opportunity to do better.

Misleading Domain Renewal Notice Disguised as an Invoice

This company's solicitation practices are extremely misleading. They send official-looking notices designed to make recipients believe they are the legitimate provider or that immediate payment is required to maintain their domain registration. In reality, these mailings appear to be marketing solicitations disguised as invoices.

If you receive one of these notices, read it very carefully and verify your actual domain registrar before sending any payment. Companies should earn customers through honest business practices, not through deceptive and misleading mailings that resemble bills or renewal not

This is a scam. We received two bills in the mail and called to get the issue corrected. Instead of helping, the representative was rude, dismissive, called my Supervisor a derogatory name, and then hung up on her.

They do nothing with renewing your websites domain, and are just an online "directory".

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We want to address this directly — the behavior you described, including a representative using a derogatory term toward your supervisor and hanging up, is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the standard we hold ourselves to. We take this seriously and we are sorry it happened.

We also want to clarify for anyone reading this: we are an online business directory, not a domain registrar, and we have no connection to your website or its renewal. Every piece of mail we send includes a clear disclosure stating it is a solicitation and that there is no obligation to pay. We understand that distinction is not always clear at first glance and we are sorry for any confusion our communication caused.

We would like to make this right. Please contact us directly at info@domainlistings.directory and we will ensure your concerns are resolved promptly and professionally.

This is a scam

This is a scam - do not pay them - do not respond to their snail mails - this business exists for the sole purpose of lying about being a website registry service and stealing money from people who think their url is about to expire.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We want to address the core concern here directly and honestly — Domain Listings, LLC is an online business directory, not a domain registry, and we make no claim to be one. Every mailer we send includes a clear, prominent disclosure stating that it is a solicitation and that there is absolutely no obligation to respond or pay.

We understand that unsolicited mail can feel suspicious, and we respect that.
But we want to be clear for anyone reading this — no one is tricked into paying for anything. Our service is voluntary, our pricing is transparent, and our disclosure language exists precisely to ensure that no one feels obligated to purchase something they have not chosen.

Domain Listings, LLC has been in continuous operation since 2013, serving over 150,000 businesses across the United States with a BBB complaint rate of 0.13%. We are a real company offering a real service and we stand behind that record.

If you have any questions about who we are or what we offer, we are happy to answer them at info@domainlistings.directory

At first

At first, I was unsure about the letter, but after reading everything properly, I realized it’s just an optional directory listing service. I actually decided to try it, and the process was smooth. The listing went live quickly, and I appreciate the exposure it provides for my domain. No issues so far.

Seems like the whole company is a scam

We received an invoice and it seemed that we needed to pay for our email hosting. We were scammed and paid it once. They automatically charged again for the next year. I called to get information and the woman who answered who would not give her name was rude and unhelpful. I requested a refund 5 different times with no response and the last call I was hung up on by the rep who answered the phone.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we sincerely apologize for the confusion surrounding our service. Domain Listings, LLC is an online business directory — we are not an email hosting provider and have no affiliation with your email service. We are sorry to hear that there was any misunderstanding about the nature of what we offer, as we always strive to communicate our services as clearly as possible.
What concerns us most is the service experience you described. The interactions you have outlined — unanswered refund requests, unhelpful service, and a disconnected call — do not reflect the standard we hold ourselves to, and we take that seriously.
We want to make this right. If you have not yet received a refund, please contact us directly at info@domainlistings.directory and reference this review. Your refund request will be treated as a priority and resolved promptly. You should never have had to ask five times, and we are sorry that you did.

Letter appears (at first glance) to be an invoice for annual website domain listing. It shows my website domain name, but the company's offer to provide a "listing" to "leading websites throughout the United States," is very vague. Plus, I only sell my services in Texas, so I wouldn't need a listing in any other state, online or otherwise. On a positive note, the letter does state in capital letters. "This is Not a Bill." This is a Solicitation."

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and balanced review. We appreciate your honesty and are glad you noted the disclosure printed clearly on our mailer — "This is Not a Bill. This is a Solicitation." That language is included prominently precisely to ensure that no one feels obligated to pay for something they have not chosen to purchase.
You raise a fair point about the relevance of a national directory listing for a business that serves a local market. While our directory does reach visitors across the United States, we understand that not every business will find that reach relevant to their needs — and we would never want anyone to feel pressured into a service that isn't the right fit for them. There is absolutely no obligation to respond to our mailer, and we respect that decision entirely.
If you have any questions about our service or would simply like to be removed from our mailing list, please don't hesitate to reach out at info@domainlistings.directory or 702-998-0222. We are happy to help.

Don’t get scammed like me

Please be extremely cautious. In my personal experience, the mail I received from Domain Listings (Las Vegas) appeared highly misleading and designed to look like an official notice, which could easily cause someone to pay for something they don’t actually need.
If you receive a letter from them, do not get scammed like I did. The mailing I received gave the strong impression of a required payment, and I later realized it was scam website.
I’m sharing this to help others avoid the same costly mistake. Treat any communication from this company with skepticism.
