My doors have arrived, fitted and I am over the moon with them, they fit perfectly which is testament to good measuring guidance and communication from Doors of Distinction.
My only ‘negative’ would be the lead time, which has been among the worst I have experienced, just over a YEAR from the original order date and despite two separate promises of twenty weeks.
For this reason alone I would be very reluctant to use this company again.
Shame really as the doors look excellent

Firstly, staff and goods are good quality. However please double check everything not just sizes when checking orders. I ordered a fully glazed door which morphed into a half glazed door. Nothing on the paper work except an unclear diagram to say it was a half glazed door being ordered. This was a mistake by Doors of Distinction. They never accepted responsibility due to sending out a contract stating, words similar, errors are the customers fault. A good will gesture of ordering a new door with 45% discount might seem good but the company would not exchange my door or buy it back, even though as stated earlier they morphed the order. Ordered 11 doors so a good order for them. Please learn from my mistake.

Excellent service, one of the Deanta ETON doors was out of stock and we arranged a split delivery with Kirsty so we could crack on with those that were in stock. Door arrived well packaged, and excellent quality.
Very happy. The doors look brilliant.
Cannot recommend this company highly enough. From the very first contact they told me which of my doors could be bought off the shelf and which would be made to measure. Instructions were given for oiling the doors with Osmo oil, 3 coats of, and they look wonderful now they are all hanging in place.
A big thank you to the team at Doors of Distinction. You will not be disappointed choosing this company .

Alan at Doors of Distinction was very helpful in advising me to choose alternative doors due to availability problems with the doors I’d chosen. He also confirmed a suitable delivery slot with Deanta. Just taken delivery of 10 Walden oak doors, which I’m very pleased with. They were competitively priced and delivery cost very reasonable. They are also more suitable for our house as they have a more generous lipping than most oak doors, so there will be no problems trimming them to fit the door frames in our 1950’s house. We were recommended Doors of Distinction for the variety, selection and service. We spent a couple of hours in their vast showroom trying to decide on 3 internal doors. We chose the first one we had seen and subsquently ordered 11 internal doors for the whole house.
Matthew Genge was most helpful. He somehow produced a quote with exactly the right number of doors, the varying sizes, handles and hinges without writing any of it down! He suggested options for the double doors to secure them into the frame and explained each line on the quote in detail.
Matthew explained the delivery process, the doors and hardware being sent separately and our responsibility to check for damage before signing for delivery. He then kept us up to date with delivery dates.
We are delighted the recommendations were good ones and we have already passed on recommendations of our own

I ordered 2 doors for my carpenter to fit to a new cupboard. Excellent quality doors, very sturdy and solid in construction. Colin helped with the order and checked supplies for me and delivery was prompt. Thank you would highly recommend.

I ordered eight doors but only received seven, despite providing ample notice and confirming the delivery. One of the delivered doors was damaged, but the damage wasn’t immediately noticed as it was hidden under one end of the packaging. The carpenter left the wrapping in place to protect the door while working from the other end. I explained all of this to the company.
The intumescent strips I ordered also didn’t arrive, though I eventually received a refund.
When I reported the damaged door, the company asked me to submit multiple photos, measurements, descriptions, and a statement—not just once, but twice. The second request demanded more detail than the first. After completing this lengthy process, they informed me that they wouldn’t replace the door because it had been cut. This was despite them knowing from the start that the carpenter had already begun cutting before discovering the damage.
The missing door eventually arrived over a week later, forcing me to rebook the carpenter at an additional cost of £200. This includes setting up again, cutting and routing, fitting locks and intumescent strips for both doors, and disposing of the damaged one—work that should have been completed by now. Re buying the door as well would ade about £500 extra expense.
The company’s refusal to replace the damaged door is deeply disappointing. Their negligence has caused inconvenience and extra costs, yet they chose not to take responsibility. Since they were already delivering the missing door, replacing the damaged one would have been a negligible expense for them—their employee's insistence that because it was cut it is therefore not replaceable makes no sense because a damaged door would not be resell-able with or without it being cut. They are effectively accusing me of lying to obtain a free replacement. This baseless accusation is both insulting and unfair and a low way obtain payment for damaged goods.
It’s clear the damage occurred before the door reached me. The deep vertical scratches forming a 6-inch gouge suggest transportation damage prior to wrapping, as the thin protective polystyrene sheeting was completely unmarked. The door was clearly packaged in a way that concealed the damage.
I spent a significant amount of money with this company, and it’s baffling that they would treat a customer so poorly when a simple, reasonable resolution could have avoided all of this, yet they chose to shirk responsibility. Now I’m left with a damaged door, visible to anyone who visits; friends, neighbours, patients. I know quite a few people who are developing properties or refurbishing their own homes and had this been resolved I would have recommended them. Unfortunately because of the low and cheap way these issues were handled I shall not be recommending them. These doors are available from multiple businesses so people more than ever sensitive to customer service.
I have been polite, courteous and responsive the whole way through this episode. However they let me down and I have been very unhappy with their level of customer service. These problems could have been resolved quickly and inexpensively, but instead, they’ve lost my trust and my future business and that of anyone I know who mentions they are looking for doors
