Not fit for purpose. Like everything else with DVLA they use cheap soft wear instead of providing customer service.

Only works between 8am and 8pm, sporadic results when using the V5C validation request, returns shocking response format. Service is sometimes slow or not responsive at all. Can't really rely on this service. When you phone up, you just get a women that says no ones available. For the money, not good. Email response from developers is good, but to tell me that this service only operates between 8am and 8pm! Why not mention this in documentation then I may have not wasted 3 days of my time if I knew this from the start.

I have found the DVLA search organisation extremely poor in their service level. Clearly they have too much business to not give a damn about potential new customers. Have been trying to contact them to request a service for about two months - combination of calls and emails messages - but zero response despite a concrete promise for a call back! Shocking service!!!! Am I the only one? They don’t even have the decency to say that they are not interested or cannot provide a service.

We operate a large fleet within our organisation and wanted to move away from manually managing all the records. We use the DVLA Search API within Excel, it has saved countless hours of manual entry. The solution was implemented quickly and works incredibly well. We've been using this for about 10 months now.

We've used DVLA Search API to implement their services on a number of websites for clients. The team were very friendly, the implementation was quick and straightforward. I've not had to manage the accounts but from the clients i've spoken to they found the portal very easy to use. It has been nothing but smooth running for us. Very happy customer.
