EF Language School
I am very satisfied with my language trip. By living in a shared apartment with people from all over the world, you can speak English every day. I was able to improve my language skills very quickly!

My experience with EF Malta was very positive overall. The language courses were well organised, the teachers were professional and supportive, and the international environment provided excellent opportunities to improve my English. The accommodation and activities also contributed to an enjoyable stay. I would recommend EF Malta to anyone looking for a valuable and memorable language-learning experience abroad.
My Experience with EF in Malta
My Experience with EF in Malta
My experience with EF in Malta has been a mix of good and bad moments. The organisation was generally okay, but I think some things could have been better. The school and the lessons gave me the opportunity to practise my English and communicate with other international students. One of the best parts was meeting people from different countries and learning about their cultures. Malta is a beautiful destination with nice weather and interesting places to visit. However, I was not completely happy with my accommodation, and I think the living situation can have a big impact on the overall experience. Being away from home for a long time was also challenging at first. Despite these difficulties, I had the chance to become more independent and use English in everyday situations. Overall, I think EF can be a good opportunity to improve your English and meet new people, but I would recommend choosing your accommodation carefully and having realistic expectations.

It was a good experience I met many new people from all over the world and learned new words in the English language, the only thing not to give 5 stars is the issue of accommodation I was the first two weeks in host family and I did not feel good the lady was not kind and the house was always messy, the last two weeks I went to the ability tower and even there it did not go very well being that it was a little dirty and the bathroom was broken, in the context I do not complain about my experience it definitely helped me grow.
The best experience!
My experience at EF New York has been amazing! I’ve met people from all over the world, made lifelong friends, and improved my English so much. The school offers a great opportunity to experience a new culture, become more independent, and step outside your comfort zone. It’s been an unforgettable experience, and I would definitely recommend EF New York to anyone considering studying abroad!

EF Santa Barbara
I went with EF on a language course in Santa Barbara and I absolutely LOVED it. Not only did I improve my English, but I also found lifelong friendships and collected unforgettable experiences. Especially, the offered activities were amazing! From a coastal bike tour to a Las Vegas Trip- I was never bored.

Overall
Overall, my experience at the institute was excellent in almost every aspect, except for the accommodation.
Unfortunately, my experience with the host family was very disappointing. My housemates were all Saudi, and I contacted the accommodation team several times to request a transfer, but there was little to no follow-up. I was repeatedly told that it was summer and there were no available places. On one occasion, I even informed them that another student was leaving and that his host family might become available. They said they would look into it, but I never received a response.
I hope the institute takes accommodation concerns more seriously and makes a greater effort to find solutions, even during the busy summer season.
On a positive note, the residence at Bayswater was excellent. However, it would be even better if students from different nationalities could be accommodated together to encourage cultural exchange and improve the overall experience.
Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the institute, but I hope these issues will be addressed to improve the experience for future students.
Nice atmosfære and skilled teachers.l loved my 3 weeks in Nice.
The teachers gave me inspiration to learn more . I cherished every moment.
A wonderful and peaceful campus!
I am currently studying at the EF New York campus in Tarrytown, and my experience has been fantastic. The staff here are incredibly kind and always supportive. My favorite part is the campus location—Tarrytown is so peaceful and beautiful. I really love the relaxing vibe here; it creates the perfect environment for studying and enjoying the program.

Do NOT send your teenager on a tour…
Do NOT send your teenager on a tour with these people. Once they sell you a program you can never get a hold of anyone again. Our teen is currently traveling with them and hardly anything they advertised is true. They do not do weekend trips, everything gets changed or cancelled and you can never reach anyone nor can your teen. If you call the Boston office you get the run around. They just want to make money. They do not care about your child. Trust me.

The way the whole trip was arranged. Your flexibility. Your happenings. Very energetic teathers. The house in the pulsing city .All the nationalities put. together.

⭐ EF Malta
⭐ EF Malta: overpriced, unacceptable accommodation and a disappointing learning experience
I paid €1,070 for one week with EF Malta: just five days of classes, with flights not included. Considering the service I received, I find this price completely disproportionate.
The most serious issue was the accommodation: dirt throughout the house and cockroaches, in conditions I consider unacceptable. I was not expecting luxury, but I did expect cleanliness, basic hygiene and a proper bed. The mattress rested on a board over a deteriorating wooden box, from which I saw insects emerging. In my view, this could hardly be considered a proper bed. The attached photographs show the condition of the furniture and bedroom.
Nine of us were staying in the homeshare. Three had access to a private bathroom, while the remaining six, including me, had to share a single bathroom. The toilet flush also broke, leaving us having to use buckets to flush it. I find it outrageous to encounter these conditions in accommodation arranged by an organisation charging this much.
Breakfast was virtually nonexistent. During my stay, I also suffered from diarrhoea and could not even find any tea available. This added to the discomfort of an experience already undermined by the accommodation.
I am 38 years old, yet I was placed in accommodation with teenagers, with no real opportunities to socialise with people my own age. I had chosen this trip as an adult seeking professional development, but found myself in an environment designed for completely different needs.
My request to change accommodation only made things worse. The proposed move fell through: when I arrived at the address provided, I could not access the new accommodation. I found myself stranded outside, unsure where to go, and had to return to the previous accommodation, paying additional taxi fares. I felt left to fend for myself, without prompt and effective assistance when I needed it most.
The academic experience was also deeply disappointing. The course was sold as “intensive”, but with three teaching sessions a day, it felt far from the intensity I had expected. The advertised initial speaking assessment never took place. I was assigned to a level solely on the basis of the online test I had completed at home, without an initial assessment of my conversational skills.
I also encountered several teachers who were not native English speakers, including Italian teachers and teachers of other nationalities. One of my reasons for choosing to study abroad was to hear native English pronunciation and improve through that exposure. In this respect, too, the experience fell short of my expectations.
Overall, I felt the programme was geared more towards socialising and entertainment for very young students than towards the needs of an adult seeking serious, well-organised language training.
Based on my experience, I would only recommend this option to someone mainly looking for a holiday and entertainment in a teenage environment. Anyone looking to invest seriously in their language learning should look elsewhere. Given the dirt, cockroaches, poor accommodation, inadequate assistance and disappointing academic experience, I cannot justify €1,070 for five days of classes, with flights not even included. I would not book this experience again.
