Elevenlabs is one of the best apps out there for bringing your content dreams to reality. Even when I mistakenly overuse my credits, they gave me an exception and refunded 12% of my last purchased credits. I love their customer service.

Totally a smooth and positive experience with ElevenLabs and their customer rep, Keitha. In two quick emails the problem was resolved -- even on Labor Day!

If their “AI” is delivered at the same level as their recruitment process, I wouldn’t touch it. I received a coding task, which I completed with 95% accuracy. Then, a week later, they sent me a “Candidate Experience Survey” — haha — asking me to share feedback about a recruitment process that never really happened.

I genuinely feel sorry for their clients and the users of their software.

This is a waste of money the interface is really bad everything is Alfa at best . Lost credits sucking money from credit cards. MAKE no mistake the product is great you just loose money trying to work out their interface . They have ai which is tje help and its always wrong . This is not fit for market

I changed, the idea is good but I can't be contacting support every month because they decide my content is suspicious. I only read newsletters that I pay for. I am not a monthly subscriber but I used to buy extra hours now and them, now the app says it has detected a suspicious activity and therefore I have to subscribe to get the service, I cannot even use my paid hours... How convenient!

I'm the Founder and Executive Director of Guardian Fresh Start Foundation, a nonprofit that built a Governed Intelligence System (AI) Companion called HOPE to serve returning citizens, transitioning veterans, and at-risk individuals. Getting HOPE's voice widget live on our website was one of the most critical milestones for our mission — and it wouldn't have happened without Amir at ElevenLabs support.

The issue was complex. Over several weeks, Amir worked through layer after layer of diagnostics with us — CSP headers, shadow DOM rendering, CDN caching, browser permissions, widget bundle versions, and host-page CSS conflicts. He never gave up, never gave a canned response, and always came back with deeper insight than the message before.

The root cause turned out to be our page's scroll-reveal animation class hiding the widget — something Amir hypothesized before we even had the evidence to confirm it. Once we tested his suggestion, it worked immediately.

After that, he helped us enable both voice and text chat, multilingual support, real-time transcripts, and more — all with the same patience and expertise.

HOPE is now live 24/7, available by voice and text, in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. People in crisis can reach her from any device, including public computers at libraries and shelters.

Amir helped make that possible. That's not just good customer support — that's meaningful work.

Total scam subscription handling. I took a 3 day trial. On day 2 decided it wasn't for me and tried to downgrade. The dark UX patterns trick you into thinking you're not going to be charged and that you're on the free tier, but then you're charged an annual subscription on day 4. When I contacted them twice by email to refund me they've not responded. Shame on you. Where's my £92!

⭐ 1/5 – Paid for months to accumulate credits, then they disappeared

Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with ElevenLabs.

I kept my paid subscription active for MONTHS while barely using the service specifically because I wanted to accumulate my credits and use them later for my business in Q4.

I paid month after month, accumulated around 100,000 credits, and then discovered that those credits were gone.

After days of going back and forth with support, the 100,000 credits were eventually added back to my account, but ElevenLabs classified them as “courtesy credits” with a short expiration period.

COURTESY CREDITS?!

I did not ask ElevenLabs for 100,000 free credits or some goodwill gift. These represented the credits I had accumulated while PAYING for my subscription month after month.

I repeatedly explained that I specifically need these credits for my business in Q4 and that there is absolutely no realistic way for me to use 100,000 credits within such a short period.

I dealt with Fabio from support throughout this situation, and instead of trying to understand the actual problem and find a reasonable solution, I kept receiving repetitive, generic replies explaining why nothing could be done.

I proposed multiple reasonable solutions: extend the expiration until the end of October, preserve the credits while I keep my paid subscription active, or reissue the equivalent amount when I actually need them in October.

Everything was rejected.

30 days wasted going back and forth, with no actual solution.

From my perspective as a paying customer, paying for months specifically to accumulate credits, then seeing those credits disappear and having the replacement treated as temporary “courtesy credits” that expire before I can realistically use them feels like a robbery.

Extremely frustrating, unhelpful, and disappointing customer service!!!

As a business owner in the software world AI integration has become more and more important in our company. We have been extremely impressed with the tools and resources ElevenLabs continues to provide. More importantly is their customer service and how respond they are.

After a recent issue that was our mistake they stopped at nothing to make sure we were taking care of. I appreciate that level of service and will remain a solid customer because of it.

I subscribed to ElevenLabs specifically to use its voice cloning service.

After testing it, I found that the product was not good enough to be used as advertised for my intended purpose. The cloned voice was unable to reliably follow pacing and timing instructions, which made it unusable for the type of controlled voice generation I needed.

This was not a minor preference issue or a case of simply disliking the result. The service failed to perform one of the functions I reasonably expected from the way the product is presented and marketed.

I requested a refund only four days after purchasing the service.

ElevenLabs initially refused the refund because I had used some of the features. That position made very little sense to me because it is impossible to determine whether a voice cloning service works properly without actually testing it.

I then challenged the refusal by referring directly to their own refund policy and to my rights as an EU consumer.

Once I clearly pointed out the applicable terms and their own policy, ElevenLabs reversed its position and issued the refund.

My concern is therefore about two separate issues.

First, the voice cloning product did not perform adequately and could not be used as advertised for my use case.

Second, the initial handling of the refund request was unacceptable. I should not have had to research their own terms and consumer protections in order to obtain a refund that they ultimately agreed to provide.

To be fair, ElevenLabs did eventually refund me, and I think that should be mentioned.

However, future customers should be aware that testing the product may be necessary to discover its limitations, and that anyone purchasing from the EU should carefully read the refund policy and keep records of all communication with customer support.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend the service.

The voices are very high quality on this website. The reading is smooth and 99.9% of the time accurate and with no mistakes. Customer service is very quick to respond to any issues! I have been with them for a few months now and other then, trying to get my payment date moved. I have had no issues whatsoever! Definitely worth the money and I have tried almost every single other alternative! I'm very happy with this company and I don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon! Highly recommend!

You run out of credits pretty quickly. Top ups needed, so look around for an economical alternative.

I’ve had a great experience with ElevenLabs. Their service is excellent, and the customer support team is very responsive, helpful, and professional. They genuinely care about helping their users and are always willing to assist when needed. Really appreciate the great service and support!

I subscribed to ElevenLabs’ Pro plan specifically to create long-form narration for my audiobook, but the quality has been deeply disappointing.

The biggest issue is that generated speech randomly changes speed within the same piece of text. Sections suddenly become faster or slower for no apparent reason, which makes the output unusable for professional narration. I spent an entire day changing settings, testing different voices, regenerating clips, and following support guidance, but the problem continued.

What makes this worse is that every failed attempt consumes paid credits. I ended up using a significant amount of credit simply trying to troubleshoot inconsistent output rather than producing anything usable.

I had been paying for the Pro plan for months and, despite the cost, I have not produced a single finished clip that I would consider suitable for my book.

For a platform marketed as capable of high-quality, professional text-to-speech, I expected far greater consistency and reliability, especially for long-form content.

Tried to use the initial free offering of 10,000 credits, but they prevent access claiming that the IP is being used for multiple requests. I have attempted to use from two differant IPs, including a home location and they have shut down access to the free credits on each occasion.
