I have been using this app for 18…

I have been using this app for 18 months now and just upgraded to Ultimate (too package). It's simplified my finances, all in one place. And I've now started using the 'pots' for budgeting for different things (holidays, new car etc.) And the money I have in the pots attracts an interest rate of an excellent 3.3 to 3.64% interest. I can see the negative reviews on here. But let's face facts. People subscribe on the free trial, decide it's not for them and forget to cancel. Hardly Emma's fault. And somebody mentioned they have taken £83 per month. That cannot be true. They charge £83 for the year for the platinum package. And that's all I can advise. If you find it's not for you, make a note on your mobile calender to remind yourself to cancel!!

I am extremely impressed with Emma and everything the platform has to offer. The amount of information provided is outstanding and really gives you a clear picture of your finances.
What stands out most is how clearly it explains whether you are overspending or underspending, making it so easy to understand and take control of your money.
On top of that, the help desk is absolutely first class — nothing is too much trouble and the support provided is second to none.
I would highly recommend Emma to anyone looking to take control of their finances. A truly brilliant app!”

Emma and their SUPPORT

To me, it is never a question of the app. It is a question of the Support that is given to the app by. The company behind it.
I will there for highly recommend Emma as a budgeting app, but this is mainly based on the fact that they support the product brilliantly timely and with passion so what more can you ask for? It does what it says on the tin with great Support

Maybe someone from Emma would like to reply asap to get this rectified and my bank details removed from the database as I will be reporting this and taking it further.
Absolutely disgusting

Absolute liberty

Absolute liberty. Turned out they were the sneakiest subscription of them all. Lucky I lost my card so the payment kept bouncing. Basically a legit scam. Avoid

Hi, I’m sorry you had this experience.

If your payment was bouncing because the card was lost or cancelled, that would have been handled by the card issuer rather than Emma.

We don’t want anyone to feel trapped in a subscription, so please contact us from the email linked to your Emma account and we’ll review this for you.

Good app, great customer support!

I’ve been using Emma Pro for a few months and have found the app genuinely useful for managing my finances.
What really stood out to me was the customer support. I contacted the Emma team because I wanted to switch from monthly to annual, but the upfront annual price was a bit steep for me at the time. Yasmin was helpful, polite, and took the time to review my account rather than just sending a generic response.
The team came back with a one-time offer that made the annual plan much more manageable, which I really appreciated. It felt like they actually listened and tried to find a sensible solution.
Good app, helpful support, and a positive customer experience overall.

I was expecting a lot more from this app…

I was expecting a lot more from this app. I found it frustrating that it was unable to show the monthly value of my recurring charges. This is something so basic and I have now resorted to using my Excel spreadsheet again.

It has been handy as a daily guide to review my daily spending and review my overall monthly spending. However, I will be proceeding with cancelling my Emma Pro membership as it doesn't work for me.

What a great app!

What a great app. Manages to combine all my UK accounts and investments, with the added bonus of being able to sync with US banks; I don’t think ANY other app does this so 5 stars!

Was successfully issued a refund via one of the Emma team.

I downloaded this App with a view to trialing it for free before committing to the annual charges. I decided in the end it wasn’t what I was looking for however discovered that I had paid for the annual subscription. As I only discovered this after the 14 day period of notice, I was initially annoyed to find I had been charged. Thankfully I got in touch with someone at Emma via email and I was issued a refund.

Hi Crista,

I think the team has got in touch and provided a refund - are you able to check this?

Avoid app like the plague

Avoid app like the plague. Not transparent at all with the trial period and because it charges you because it’s got all your banking information already it doesn’t go through the Apple subscription service so you can’t cancel when you get to your 14 days then it’s next to impossible to find where to cancel it in the app not use a friendly at all avoid avoid avoid it. It’s difficult to get hold of anybody to speak to and they just don’t answer any of your questions. You should be able to get a partial refund if you feel that you were forced in a subscription, you weren’t interested in. How did they know which banking card to use to draw the money from? All I want is the refund of the month upcoming don’t expect the whole amount but feel like they trap you.
