Over a year ago the courts ordered you to pay £13k for the damage you did to my house, when are you going to pay up Mr Wallis of Empire Stige Roofing?

ABSOLUTE COWBOYS - DO NOT USE

Empire Stige Roofing are complete and utter cowboys and I would recommend against using them at all costs.

I employed them to carry out roofing works to my house as they provided by far the cheapest price. They had and still have hundreds of 5 star reviews across various platforms which makes them appear to be a reputable business. It is only after they start works that it becomes apparent that they are far from a reputable business. They take a hefty deposit up front and give you a start date which they do not keep to. They don't communicate with you and basically turn up when they want. The scaffolding is poor, dangerous and obviously another way to cut their costs and I'm sure it is illegal. HSE has served them with notices in the past because of this. Their employees are rude and seem to have no roofing experience. The workmanship is a disgrace. The job takes forever to complete and is not up to standard. This easily leaves people open to vulnerability and future issues with their roof as they may not be aware of what has/hasn't been completed and to what standard.

They provide a 20 year warranty which isn't backed up by any insurance and isn't worth the paper its written on. The roof works they did for me was over a year ago and getting issues already, you can't get hold of them and do you really want them to come back to do any work when you know how bad they are.

If you check Companies House, Empire Stige Roofing Ltd has recently been liquidated, I'm assuming along with the warranty they claim to provide, and you still see their vans driving around. They've recently started up a new entity, ESR SW Limited. Both have the same director JELANI WALLIS, the king of cowboys. It's basically the same business, run by the same person, providing the same services and still clearly trying to do people out of their hard earned cash. Why would they do this if they were a reputable and trustworthy business?

If you look on Trust Pilot it appears someone has taken them to court. To add to that they only have one review on there, but hundreds on the various trade platforms. Dodgy to say the least. As mentioned above they are almost certainly fake and done by their mates from the pub.

I'm writing this review because to the ordinary customer that would check various reviews across various platforms, Empire Stige would appear to be a good choice based on all their fake reviews but they are certainly not. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

Replaced valley on our inverted roof in Bristol with new boards and GRP, they were really efficient and sent photos of all the work they were doing throughout the job. Quality of work looked excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to go with Empire Stige for any future roofing work.
