About Account Verification

Verification in eToro will take approximately up to 5 business days if all the required documents are submitted.

During this time our teams will be going over the details and documents that have been submitted to make sure we verify your account according to the latest regulatory requirements.

Should we require any further information, we will be sending you an email to the registered email address with the required additions. These might include any issues with the documents submitted like a lack of details, or a problem with the eligibility of the document.

These are regulatory obligations from eToro as a regulated financial institution.

On Deposits at eToro

Deposits on eToro are divided into instant payment methods and ones that might take longer like a Bank Transfer.

Instant payments like Credit Card, e-wallets and others will appear immediately on your eToro account.

Other methods might take several business days to arrive depending on the payment provider chosen. When sending a Bank Transfer, please make sure to take the bank details from the eToro platform according to the chosen currency.

It is of the utmost importance to include the unique Transaction ID to allow eToro to efficiently recognize the transfer and credit your investing account.

Caution - 3rd party payments are prohibited. eToro will ONLY accept payments done from a method of payment under the eToro account owner’s name.

Key points on Withdrawals at eToro

Withdrawals at eToro have a flat fee of $5 USD. *Except in the USA where we do NOT charge a withdrawal fee.

A withdrawal in eToro has 2 stages. Once received, the request to withdraw will be processed by our teams within 2 business days.

Following the processing, a withdrawal will take an additional 3-8 business days until the funds arrive to the used method of payment.

It is important to note that this time period depends entirely on the payment service provider.

Emails will be sent at both stages confirming the request was received, that the withdrawal has been processed and to which method of payment it was withdrawn.

All about Trading/Market Disruptions

Trading disruptions are situations in which markets cease to function regularly, usually defined by fast and extensive movements in the market. There is no one specific reason for this - they can derive from unusual trading (such as a crash or a pump) or physical threats to the stock market.

No matter what the case is, trading disruptions are a result of the unusual conditions in the market, which can cause panic and disruptions to trading.

Why you might not be able to open or close a position during a market disruption

  1. Lack of liquidity, or inability to receive pricing from our liquidity providers
  2. A stock might be halted by the exchange
  3. Inability to open SELL positions due to an asset being “unborrowable”
  4. An unborrowable asset is an asset that won’t be lent out to short-sellers, which might happen when there is no one willing to lend out the asset.
  5. On eToro, the SELL side is not available when the asset is unborrowable.

  6. Extreme volatility on different asset types.

In general, when an asset is not available during halting periods, set order rates that are triggered (Stop Loss, Take Profit) during the halt will be executed on the next available executable rate when trading resumes.

Spent 3 hours on their “24/7”
Live chat being timed out and ignored, whilst trying to protect against a potential data breach. Spent a sleepless night waiting for their emailed response,. Their cheap looking website doesn’t instil confidence either. Why advertise “live chat”
When you can’t offer it ! Their responce the next day had no apology, as if this is acceptable. Their security is the worst I’ve seen try Trading212 or IG both far superior imo.

Use Quick VIP .. #Reliable #Best

eToro looked promising in the beginning, but things quickly became frustrating. Withdrawal delays, poor customer support, and unclear communication made the entire process stressful and disappointing. Trying to get proper assistance felt almost impossible, and the constant waiting only added more anxiety. A platform that deals with people’s money should provide much better transparency and reliability than this.

Support service's viscious cicrle of no results

It is terribly frustratiing when one has to find your way through an unhelpful AI bot just to get to a support employee who turns out to be just as unhelpful. I so wish for eToro to eductate their support personnel to complete an interaction to it's very conclusion instead of just dropping links and then dissapearing from the chat. To me that is quite disresectful!

One of the worst experiences i ever…

One of the worst experiences i ever having with them i made withdrawal on 24-04-2026 . Still today is 11-05-2026 . I haven’t received yet . I call my bank they said they didn’t receive anything yet. But the corresponding bank rejected . Etoro do not bother to track the money is credited to client account or not. I mailed them with all details and my bank statement from the date i apply from withdrawal. They don’t have option other then bank but there customer service is miserable

I mean etoro isn't available in Canada…

I mean etoro isn't available in Canada I don't know why , that sucks but when i was back home I started of being skeptical, but etoro turned out better than I expected, the interface was simple to get used to , trades executed fine , and my withdrawal was literally on point wiff R esor us after verification, support wasn't always a strong hold that why you not getting my full star .

Used the platform for 2 years never again

Used the platform for 2 years. Website is nice although they use a strange version of trading view for charts. Moving money between US and GBP wallets was a p*** take. randomly had my account restricted all stocks wanted £1000 balance before opening and was no longer able to by CFD's. I spoke to Chat help after wasting time with their AI chat service. I eventually got through to a person who was as useless as the AI. Felt this isnt a good enough service. It swamps people with adverts and makes you think its amazing but badly run. The mobile app is dreadful and the website constantly goes down for repairs. Iv removed my portfolio now and looking for a new platform. wont be recommending etoro to anyone from now.

Unprofessional some of the supervisor…

Unprofessional some of the supervisor -I am complaining about eToro Money UK Ltd. They failed to properly settle a fuel pump transaction, causing a negative balance and depriving me of funds for more than 7 days, including a Bank Holiday. Their customer service provided misleading advice to report my card as stolen. Their 'Final Response' and subsequent follow-up are factually inaccurate regarding the dates funds were returned and their attempts to contact me.

Poor Customer service - and blame customer culture

Poor Customer service - and culture of blaming customers for a system errors. A lot of issues with login, web functionality and trading execution. Even when you send a clear picture of the existing error - you receive respond : "We have found no indication of a system error or glitch affecting .... " . They not even look at your account settings - just send you a link to set walues which you had already set. I wish I could add some screenshoots to indicate to wider public what they tech team is not able to see. (I exchange dozen of pointles emails).

I got hacked and money taken out of my…

I got hacked and money taken out of my account it's taken 5 days for someone to get back to me saying it's not there fault ( even while this was happing I was sending messages and screen shots in what happing) they did not care and quote"our fraud team don't work weekends)

Now a customer over 5 years has lost money and they don't care!!!

If you want to lose your money to scammers

If you want to lose your money, go ahead.

They are day light thugs who offer you so called assets to buy and just so when they feel like it, they force sell your assets at a huge loss. And again just so when they feel like it, they reintroduce the same assets for sale.

Any big moves in the market and they immediately halt trading.

They have no shame and their so called customer service is non existent. It takes months to even get a generic reply.
