Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 944 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. People frequently struggled to contact anyone for help because the phone lines were disconnected and automated chatbots provided no real assistance when problems arose. Customers also experienced frustrating delivery delays, missing items from their packages, and orders being mistakenly sent to incorrect delivery addresses without receiving proper customer support. Though some reviewers were happy with their purchases, pointing out that well made items arrived earlier than expected. Consumers noted that goods came quickly and as described, while store staff members were very helpful and provided good service during in-person visits.

I can't give more than 3 stars - that's just for the ease of online ordering. You have sent me your feedback request before you have delivered anything to me so I have nothing else to review.

Item missing from delivery package

Item missing from delivery package.
I ordered items from the wiggle website without realising that it was in fact, Evans cycles. My package was delivered. There was sellotape on the plastic bag and there was an item missing. It absolutely impossible to speak to somebody at Evan cycles to resolve the situation and their customer service just keeps fobbing you off. It's been nearly 3 weeks I haven't had the item and I haven't had a refund. Do not touch these people with a Barge Pole.

Very poor experience from here

Very poor experience from here, which is disappointing as I was hoping to have a good experience with them which is a shame,
I had bought an e bike from these around April time and at first everything seemed perfect with then bike then after only 4 months of having the bike I had a bike issue with supposedly the speed monitoring so when I rang up and dropped the bike off at the start of August I got told the bike would be ready in two weeks after the two weeks I rang seeing if the bike is ready and they replied “no still waiting on the part”, so they said should be here the following week, again rang got same response, and this Happened several times eventually got the answer my bike is ready after countless ringing for updates and they weren’t very helpful, I got my bike on the 18th September a full 6 weeks after dropping it off, bike seemed fine for the 18th/19th then the 20th the issue come back straight away, so rang back again and they said it sounds like the same issue which irritated me more as I’m paying nearly £2400 for a e bike which has had major issues twice which was apparently fixed the first time which I find hard to believe, very very dissatisfied with the customer service from this specific shop as it could be more time i could be without my bike

Abuse of Customer Rights - Evans Cycle

I bought a E-bike from Evans Cycle at the end of August 2026.

The bike itself was faulty from day one. I contacted the customer service who suggested and agreed that they would organise a bike exchange and send me a new box for the faulty bike to be sent back.

I was contacted on the 11th of September by customer service who informed me that a box for the bike would be sent within 48 to 72 hours. It’s now the 24th of September and I’m still waiting to exchange this bike.

I’ve sent multiple emails this week and had no response. A total abuse of customer rights.

How can you sell a faulty product, promise to rectify the issue and then ignore the customer who paid with their hard earned money for close to over a month?

Absolutely abysmal customer service with a dire sense of urgency!

STEER CLEAR.

purchased a new bike from Evan cycles…

purchased a new bike from Evan cycles sadly it arrived damage so I contacted customer service. Customer service have told me that due to the bike being from a third-party they need to get into contact with them. I was a little baffled as I purchased from Evan cycles? Now I’m going around in circles trying to sort the issue. Would NOT recommend Evans Cycles. Case #454511

Cycle 'lost' in transit

I ordered a cycle online. I had an email from the courier telling me the parcel was delayed and they would contact me with a new date. The latest estimated delivery day passed and heard nothing from either courier or Evans. I contacted the courier with whom it is impossible to speak to a human. Numerous bots via chat and email told me they would look into it. An automated voice on the phone told me there were unable to deliver the parcel, with no reasoning or help. I contacted Evans online, which again started with a bot. When I eventually managed to get a real person on a Sunday, they told me the cycle had been delivered to the wrong depot and would be sent to the correct depot and to contact Evans back if I hadn't received the cycle by the Tuesday. Given the few weeks of chasing I had already done, I wasn't convinced this was happening so contacted Evans again for an update on the Monday, to be told the cycle had been lost. The person was helpful on the chat and has sent out another cycle and refunded the delivery cost. I don't have the cycle yet and am half expecting the same thing to happen again.

I find it really difficult to believe a 26 inch bike can be 'lost' and suspect it has probably been stolen. No one at Evri or Evans seem to be interested in investigating whether this is the case! To large companies, one bike is probably a small issue, but to allow people to easily get away with taking parcels helps to create a larger problem. Equally if the bike has been lost, the current processes for delivery don't work and again no one seems to want to review this!

Evri are known to be a terrible courier and I feel that Evans should review using them as the courier, as I am sure I am not the only person that has encountered a problem with them.

Had I not chased things with Evri and Evans, I would still be none the wiser and without a bike. It doesn't seem that Evans have a process in place to ensure deliveries are made and products arrive and this is all left to the customer to chase up. This bike was a birthday present for my son, which is now late and he did not have his bike on his birthday. I ordered online for it to be a surprise, but I will not be doing so again. I have been looking at purchasing a bike through my cycle to work scheme and this whole experience is making me think twice about doing so from Evans.

Signature forged, parcel left in garden for a week while away.

Ordered a £450 bike, paid for postage. No communication on when the bike would be delivered. Upon checking the tracker from a 3rd party delivery firm it showed my bike had been delivered and signed for by me, despite me being away on holiday. No option to reschedule delivery or know when it was due to be delivered.

Evans Cycles couldn't get me an update on where it had been left, who had signed etc. They advised i contact my neighbours to see if they'd taken it.

I returned home after a week to find my brand new bike had been left outside behind an unlocked gate for a week in the elements.

I contacted Evans Cycles to inform them of this, and despite the t&c's stating signatures will be obtained for delivery, i was told as the delivery firm had delivered it to my address, and the bike was there on my return from holiday they considered the items sufficiently delivered and no further action would be taken.

Absolutely ridiculous. If I'd have looked at reviews i would have avoided Evans Cycles completely.

I would recommend buying a bike from elsewhere.

Item not delivered no refund.

Item not delivered and so Evan's cancelled the order. This was primarily an issue with Evri delivery/courier. However the promised refund is still outstanding and latest request for refund ignored.

Terrible returns process, Won't use again.

Returns process is antiquated and impossibly complex to navigate. Almost as though it was designed to stop returns!
I ended up using Google to access a download form after endless loops on the website.
I will not buy from them again.
Many years ago they were a great company.

Shocking customer support and returns

All of the items i purchased were well below the size they were advertised at i know cycle clothing is on the small side but you couldn't make up the theses sizes even a pair of cycle gloves in mans large would would not allow me to get my medium woman's hand into them , clearly this is why they were in the sale ! Returns is a nightmare , you cant easily access their returns forms and when i asked the chat it sent me broken links that didnt work , theres no phone number for contact and you cant email them its like they dont want you to contact them ,they insist items are returned in a week but took me over a week to get a person on the chat after spending everyday with a bot hoinh round and round giving me the advice on website , which didn't work as the link for forms was incorrect and you cant return items to yr local shop either . I used to buy a lot from Evans as a cyclist but after this experince i wont buying anything else from them again it an absolute joke trying to get customer service and support

Very disappointing customer service

Very disappointing customer service. My order arrived completely intact, but a pair of shoes was missing. The parcel was only a flexible plastic wrapping, with no shoe box and not even enough space for one.

I contacted Evans Cycles, but they rejected my claim simply because their internal records say the item was checked during packing. That does not prove the shoes were actually in the parcel when it arrived.

I expected a much more reasonable approach to resolving a straightforward missing-item issue.

Tremendously anxiety-inducing

Tremendously anxiety-inducing. EVRI have delivered to the wrong address. It is dark. It is raining. I can't go knock on doors at this time of night. I am worried about the bike being damaged by the rain---or stolen. Hoping they at least got the right street and we might be able to locate it tomorrow morning. Please do not use EVRI as a courier if they are going to do stuff like this.

Update: we got the bike, assembled the bike. Kiddo was happily riding the bike.
First time changing gear a horrendous noise and the mechanism twisted up, breaking the spoke protector disc. Kiddo devastated.

I rarely leave negative reviews

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Evans Cycles Trafford Way has been extremely disappointing.

In October 2025, I purchased a service membership that included three bike services per year. Due to my circumstances, I had not been able to use the service until 25/08/2026, when I took my bike to the Trafford Way branch.

A member of staff advised me that the bike would be checked in and serviced within two days. I explained that I would be busy and asked whether I could collect it four days later, over the weekend. I was reassured that this would be fine.

However, when I returned over the weekend, I was surprised to discover that my bike had not even been checked in or inspected. I was then asked to leave it for another three days and return again. I found this completely unacceptable and decided to take my bike back, as I no longer felt confident leaving it with the branch.

I subsequently raised a formal complaint with Evans Cycles. Unfortunately, the handling of the complaint has been just as disappointing. For approximately one month, I received emails stating that my case was being discussed and that someone would contact me. I was also asked to provide my telephone number. However, two days ago, I received another email stating that they had no information about my previous complaint and asking me to explain the entire situation again.

This level of communication and case management is extremely frustrating and, in my view, reflects a lack of professionalism and organisation. I have rarely felt compelled to leave negative feedback, but this has been a particularly poor experience from start to finish.

Having used other specialist bike shops, including Trek stores, I have experienced a significantly higher standard of service. Based on this experience, I would unfortunately advise others to consider alternative bike service providers rather than using Evans Cycles Trafford Way.
