Mobile data unusable slow.

(Yes, Ofcom says EE have adequate voice and data coverage in my area and it claims 4G.)

The unlimited data package I pay for is unusably slow to work from home - which I only really found out because my landline is down. Test at speedof.me just peaked at 8Mbs down, but most of the download was 0.1 - 1Mbs - can't make video calls on that.

Fine for twitter, whatsapp and lolcats, not suitable for work.

Smile

I’ve been a customer of EE since the T-Mobile days.
Although there are ups and downs the customer care team in Merthyr offices are fantastic in getting things right.
The Add yo plan option is great making available things I couldn’t dream of buying outright.

Thank you EE for great service both at call centres and on coverage..... my only issue is I can’t hide from my boss anymore :(

Okay, but not really any better than any other network...

I've been a customer of EE for some years now, and in terms of signal coverage they're good - they provide a consistent mobile signal. Having said this, given that they're a telecommunications company, and this is a core part of what they actually do, this is a bit like saying that Tesco sells edible food, if they didn't they'd be fairly awful.

The reason I decided to leave a review is that I get annoyed at the constant barrage of positive spin PR and advertising that suggests that they're utterly awesome when their customer service is, in reality, fair at best and deeply poor at worst.

As a disabled person with SEN/learning disabilities, I find them consistently less than understanding when faced by requests for reasonable adjustments that would make things easier for me. They don't break any disability laws (they're much too clever for that) but neither do they bend over backwards to help you.

Providing a good mobile signal for any telecommunications company - Vodaphone, BT, O2 and EE - should be a given. Once you get past this point it comes down to customer service, and in this respect, EE are nothing exceptional. This is why I've given them one star.

Best network out there

EE have been amazing. I'm moving away indefinitely and the EE Extra package is spot on. I'm able to use it 29 European countries and it comes out of my allowance of unlimited minutes and text messages. Data is understandable.

Not only that I'm on the max package so I believe and they have lowered my data and line rental down which I didn't expect. Reception is amazing. Do not have any issues at all unlike Vodafone.

Horrible

Being with them has taken years off my life. The 3G network simply doesn't work in parts of London.

INCOMPETENT, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

If you are thinking of switching to EE, be VERY careful - they don't give a toss! I have a credit rating of 999 out of 1000 (or "excellent") - they credit checked me and I failed!! That now counts against me in terms of my future credit rating - I now have my first 'negative' on a credit report that was only 'positives' up until now. EE do not give you the reason for the failure or any explanation at all, even though it permanently affects your credit rating (aside from you obviously not being granted a mobile phone contract), they only give you a postal address to write to or an email address, no telephone number so you can speak to someone directly - I have emailed them at that address and I also emailed their general complaints address - I have had no response from either one. Absolutely disgusted with them - I will never go near Orange, EE or T Mobile again - not that they'll let me because my credit score is far too healthy for them - idiots!

Awful awful awful service!!!

I will never use EE/Orange again or even recommend them to anyone! Their customer service is awful, false promises and time wasted again and again! Constantly having to chase them, told different things by different advisors, impossible to speak to anyone who actually has any authority!

Non-existant customer service - broken web links. Painful experience.

Their so called 'help' web page is dreadful; it pretends to be an expert system but very quickly you realise that it's just an attempt to fob you off with some common Q and As. They don't seem to have an email address to Tech support either. Quite how anyone is supposed to get anything working I've no idea.

Also - trying to login to Orange webmail just takes you to an EE 'manage your account page'. I don't want to manage my account, I want to read me email !!!

Terrible untrustworthy Company

I have received hands down the worst customer service on a number of occasions including consultants intentionally giving incorrect information, putting false information on my account then supervisors advising me to go back to phones 4 u even though my issue is to do with Orange and Ee accounts. Over 1 hour calls to customer service only for supervisors to not call you back over 7 times once situation has been "escalated!". I have requested notes from my account so I can truly escalate my situation to the ombudsman however have been advised I'm not allowed them what a joke! It really is a shame that Orange has totally changed and now has no care for customer service as I have found out over the last 5 months!
