While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

No refund, no follow up on deposit

It asked to deposit for opening the account. Then I got an email saying the deposit credit will expire. When there is no charging station with J-1772 plug-in in my geographical location, I called to request a refund. I was given a ticket number with a promise of a follow-up in 24-72 hours. No response. Don't bother to deposit and open an account unless you are absolutely sure you can use their service.

A Lyft driver called EVGO *AFTER* I had…

A Lyft driver called EVGO *AFTER* I had plugged in *AND WAS CHARGING* claiming that he had been charged for my time *BEFORE* HE DROVE UP AND PLUGGED IN - They STOPPED MY CHARGING, WHILE CHARGING. BECAUSE A **LYFT** DRIVER told them he had already been plugged in. You should really think about this chain of events prior to charging with EVGO - if a sedan with an out-of-state plate carrying a LYFT tag can cancel your charge, mid-charge, because he's an entitled A**hole 'who drives for a living' (plate ***CA #9FGF225*** LYFT - would not take a ride from him....omg, tip...you crazy.) EVGO ended up paying for my charging session and said Lyft driver went bye-bye, go ahead and make your judgements. Cost me time and my child, *fear* - unnecessary, EVGO - you SUCK.
***Upon careful discussion with a legal representative, this may very well be a type of new SCAM that Professional drivers are running on regular people charging w/o commercial intentions - DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR CAR IF REQUESTED FROM ANYONE PRIOR TO DISCUSSING WITH A COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE. This could have cost me money, if I had unplugged my car.**** PAY ATTENTION TO WHO IS CHARGING NEXT TO YOU!

EvGo Provides Lousy Service!

Several weeks ago, I attempted to charge my electric vehicle (EV) at an EvGo charging station located in Culver City at the Ince Garage, 9099 Washington Boulevard, Culver City, California 90232. They have two charging stations at that location, neither worked. Several weeks later, I followed up. The stations were still down! I have notified EvGo of the problem, they have done nothing to resolve it.

Beware of EVgo

EVgo is a electric vehicle charging company owned by General Motors. When you have a 'pay as you go' account they put a hold on your credit card in the amount of $65-$100. For the first time when I charged my EV in Vauxhall, NJ, EVgo did not release their hold on my credit card. Several emails and phone calls have not remedied the issue. My issue has been elevated to senior management with absolutely no response or resolution.

EVgo finally returned my inquiry and told me to call my credit card company as they were not responsible to removing any credit holds. LIARS!!!
