I used the premium service and sent…
I used the premium service and sent invites to 30 guests. On the website it said all were delivered, but almost all of my invites went to spam or did not deliver and I had to follow up with every guest or change the method of delivery to text message. Evite customer service did not help.
I've been using Evite for over 10 years
I've been using Evite for over 10 years, but probably won't in the future. I sent about 70 evites and paid for the premium service. On the dashboard it appears that they were all delivered. However, when I followed up with some guest I found out that the evites were not received or had been sent straight to their spam or junk file. I am now must follow up with everyone to make sure they receive an invitation. Evite customer service has been NO HELP.
Sent an evite to 30 guests for $36
Sent an evite to 30 guests for $36 had to ask guests to RSVP with their meal option. Several guests had trouble RSVPing and only 3 could figure out how to respond with their meal option. It used to be much easier to use. I contacted customer service and they were not at all helpful. What a shame!
Shit website
This website is actually horrible. They paid me to write good reviews about it. Now that I've gotten my money, i'll be glad to inform you all on just how shitty this website is.
Evite invitations appear as SPAM so most people block and delete with out reading about your event
I paid over $100 CAD to use Evite for sending invitations to a group of more than 50 people, expecting it to be a reliable and professional way to manage RSVPs.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. After following up with several invitees, I discovered that many had either not seen the invitation or had deleted it because it appeared to be spam in their inbox. This significantly impacted attendance and created extra work, as I had to reach out manually to confirm whether people had received the invite.
While Evite offers convenience and design options, the deliverability issue is a major drawback—especially when you’re paying for the service and relying on it for an important event.
Overall, I would be cautious about using Evite for larger or more important gatherings unless you’re prepared to follow up with guests through other channels. It may still work for casual events, but in my case, it did not provide the reliability I expected for a paid service.
I hate this e-invitation site
I hate this e-invitation site. It actually causes stress. It’s not compatible with some devices: I thought I updated my information in my iPad and it ended up sending folk the wrong date. It’s difficult to navigate; it takes me 3 min to find the guest list. There’s no support. It won’t let me change the time zone. I’m in EST but my event is on the west coast, but it won’t let me change it. This site is an issue.
Scam Pricing
It’s the typical private equity model- non transparent pricing. It costs $40 to send 30 invites, which is literally a gif and then another $30 for 13 more. Total scam.
scam pricing..
scam pricing... only allows you to invite a 10 people... I paid the $18 for ads free and then at the end they say I can't send 40 invites without paying another $40... this service is terrible. will never use them again.
Caught in an impossible loop!
I'm caught in an impossible loop where the Evite website won't let me pay for more "sends" but I still have more people I need to invite. And now I've invited most of my friends to my big birthday bash and I can't invite the rest. And the worst part is that I can't get any help from Evite. They don't have a phone number, no one answers when I try to do a chat and only occasionally, if I email multiple times, do I get a reply from customer support. It's a nightmare. Evite sucks and once I figure this out, I definitely won't ever use them again and I'll tell all my friends not to use them either!
Complete waste of money
I wanted to do the free version and they sneakily added some bullcrap feature that was $20. Not worth it at all and of course no refunds.
Took my $$$ but evites didn’t send
Designed my invite, spent 4+ hours compiling a guest list, I paid for my order, clicked on process and send - then screen went blank. Never sent my evites. Asked for help via email - told me to do what I already did, seemed like a bot response. Emailed again - no response. Phone tells you to email. No humans involved! I may have lost $100 and nothing sent out. Very dissatisfied and disappointed! I should have used Greenenvelope!
Baits you with a good and easy idea…
Baits you with a good and easy idea with no mention off cost. I spent a ton of time creating an epic invite then manually entering all the guests contact info. Then they hit you with $68 to send 75 text invites. I could understand maybe $10 but 68. Big waste of time.
Evite is one of the most horrible app
Evite is one of the most horrible app! I have moved away from it as it’s buggy and frustrating!
DO NOT PURCHASE
For as long as they have been around, the user interface should be smooth and highly intuitive. It is NOT. I woefully regret purchasing a package and will never again do so. Their sign up sheet should be fully integrated and it seems like a bunch of work arounds rather than a seamless carefree experience. I DO NOT recommend it at all. Email and googledocs or trello is MUCH better.
The only thing tolerable about Evite is…
The only thing tolerable about Evite is that it has a free version. I have never seen a more poorly implemented product.
Evite is a good idea with poor…
Evite is a good idea with poor execution. The delivery system is completely unreliable. We were sending updates to our event that our guests were not getting. We ended up manually sending a text to each person. A royal waste of time
They are scammers do not donate using their site
They are such scammers. They tell you that their pledge does not take any percentage of your donation but they end up taking money and they hold onto donations made to your fund until the following month. Like why cant they be transparent. My friends would not have donated using their site if they knew that their funds would not get to me in full.
Evite doesn't validate the event…
Evite doesn't validate the event address. Our hosts put "Fred and Jane's Garden" before the street address, Evite didn't check it, and "Add to calendar" generates bogus addresses.
No customer service support, clumsy platform.
Platform offers little in ability to design invitation. NO CHAT/LIVE customer service available. Response time from customer service horrible. Half the people on my list said they did not receive the invitation. Find another platform.
