I'm surprised everyone is having such a bad time with Evite. I love the app as well as the desktop website. Yes, sometimes the app can freeze, like any other app, but for the most part, the customization options are the best. I've tried Shutterfly and other invitation apps, but none of them offer as much as what you get with Evite.

used to be my go-to back in 2015. Now it SUCKS!!
I have to pay to get a share link to my event -are you kidding??
An hour setting up the event. Only did it because this is a private reception - not a public event I'd typically host.
Never again.
And evite will bury you in ads...OMGosh!

Great for organizing, but I’m unable to respond to events by replying to their SMS messages, and typing hello only directs you to another email address for support. This wouldn’t be an issue, but I still can’t reply to an evite after clicking the link without providing an email address. It’s a clunky, frustrating experience.

Do not use!!!
I selected to pay $39 for 30 credits (to send out 30 invites). It was suppose to decrement the number when I selected to send out invites to -say- 6 people.
Instead, it charged me an extra $39 every time I selected to send out invites.

In minutes, we checked our bank and noticed a total of 4 charges (total of $160).

It was supposed to
1. Accept the initial $39 for purchase of 30 credits
2. Decrement the credits for invites sent

Half way thru sending inviations for my wife's Celebration of Life venue, the Evite phone app stopped working, would not let me log in, filed problem report with them, said they had server issues but fixed it, just clear the app cashe, IT DIDNT WORK. I even tried uninstalling and reinstall, nope, don't trust them,

I was very pleased with the invitation feature, but the thank you card "feature" is a joke. I would like to use it, but at $1.99 PER THANK YOU, it becomes prohibitive. Even with postage as it is, it would be less expensive, although not as convenient, to use snail mail. I would be willing to pay, but not at that rate. Posting the price per card would be a help, at least. But if they are all $1.99, forget it.

I paid for a premium package for bridal shower invitations. I had used a more flexible platform previously, but the other hostesses thought Evite would be more recognized by the guests. A tragedy happened in the bride's family, and we had to postpone the shower. I sent a message through Evite to the guests and turned off reminders in the settings. But I did not know that Evite would send auto thank you and other messages after the event that I could not turn off even with the premium package. There is no FAQ about it, and their customer service has yet to respond to me. Meanwhile, Evite sends happy messages to the bride and "guests" about the event that was postponed due to a terrible tragedy. I have sent an apology message when someone lets me know a message went out, but it feels cruel under the circumstances.

If you have time to waste, don't want your invitees to receive the invite, and love technical issues, Evite is for you. I'm using this to host a business party and have experienced multiple problems, which have not been resolved. They won't take responsibility for anything.

I got all finished with my invitation only to find out I cannot email my invitation without paying for an upgrade. Fine. I was willing to pay the 17.99 only to find out $17.99 will get me only 15 invitations. I had to cancel and go to another site. What a waste of time!

Complete waist of time. Spent $18 for the event details to not populate on the invitation. Never again.

I HAVEN'T RECEIVED AN EVENT EMAIL NOTIFICATION SINCE MARCH 11, 2023, IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT MY PROFILE AND EVENTS APPEAR ON THEIR WEBSITE.
BUT... THEY DON'T SEND ME INVITATION NOTIFICATIONS VIA EMAIL.
SINCE YOU DON'T REMEMBER TO VISIT A WEBSITE ON A REGULAR BASIS, I MISS THE EVENTS. THAT'S THE ONLY WAY I BECOME AWARE OF MY EVENTS UNLESS MY FRIENDS TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON SO I CAN GO TO THE EVITE WEBSITE AND RSVP..
I HOPE YOU ALL UNDERSTAND WHAT'S GOING ON HERE. IT IS COMPLICATED, BUT I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, SENDING THEM EMAILS, TALKING TO MY OWN COMP. TECHS, TRIED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM ON MY OWN BY DELETING AND REINSTATING MY EM ADDRESS, BUT EVERYONE SAYS THAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE EVITE SYSTEM.
ON TOP OF THAT EVITE CONTINUES SENDING ME FORM LETTER EMAILS WITH BOGUS INSTRUCTIONS THAT DON'T RELATE TO MY PROBLEM.

I used Evite to send invitations to our annual Christmas party. After the party, we decided to send a “Thank You” to our guests. At the END of the Evite thank you order, Evite said that the “individual purchase” would be $1.99. No big deal! What Evite failed to mention (intentionally of course) was that the cost was $1.99 PER RECIPIENT! At no time did Evite give me the total cost before I paid. $240 later I was surprised that Evite would stoop to such a low level scam.

Terrible experience. When I accidentally deleted some invitees on my list, I freaked and tried to find a way to do it on their website. I could not find a way to re-instate them. I tried to call Evite…no such customer service number…I emailed them at least 3 times in one week in early September. My event was Sept 24th. I didn’t get a response until Oct 18th, more than a month later!!!!!!! And it was an automated response. Do not waste your money on Evite!!!!!!!!!

This is the worse possible e-invitation to use. It is full of glitches and it is not user friendly. Save your money do not use this service !

I paid for premium Evite for 40 invitations and it did not work at all. Then I paid again thinking I had done something wrong and I wanted to get this done. Still did not work - the same thing happened. When I tried to send invites nothing happened. So my daughter set up a free Evite invitation and that worked fine. I would like to get my payments back they were around $32, two of them, so about $64 in total. I have sent emails to Evite support but not gotten any answers.

$150 disappeared from my Pledge account advertised through Evite. Evite said they had no access to Pledge. Pledge said they had no access to Evite. My money is still missing.

Evite has become glitchy and clunky with unexplained limits on function (ie) not being able to chat with all guests, a limit on the free invites that isn't clearly stated anywhere, and an inability to upgrade after the invite is sent... b/c that's when they tell you there's 12 person limit. Customer service is unreachable. I've used Evite for years and after this cluster @$#! of an invite will delete my account. I cannot recommend this company to anyone under any circumstances.

Expensive, but hoped this reflected the service quality. Sadly over half of invites failed to deliver and these were our most important VIPs.

Really expensive, limited and basically feels like a con!
You cant add an English phone number or send by text as it only accepts american phone numbers (they may say it does but you cant get past the phone field with an English number)! You actually buy a redemption to code which you can only use against 1 invite at a time so you cant interchange your invites. When it comes on a smart phone the invite is distorted and doesn't have all the details or chops bit off! $29.99 for 40 invites is a waste of money! I haven't even got to the experience of it being blocked or going into junk email yet! Wish i hadn't started with it.Advice - use someone else.

They may have been the ground breaker in the area of digital invitations but their best days are behind them. We recently used them for two events and frankly the issues were enough for me to explore other services. At least 20% of the invites wind up in Spam and how their web portal is not White listed with all of the email services is beyond me. Then 25% of the RSVPs never posted and at least 10% of the people got their reminders for the event(s) the night of the event (in a few cases after the event happened).
