Family Photo Project turned easy!

Family Photo Project turned easy!

Scanning, organizing and dispersing photos to my whole family has been a very daunting task the past decade, but Excire has made that SO. MUCH. EASIER.
Thank Goodness there's a product like this out there on the market, otherwise I would have been.. ya know :) Let's just say it's worth every penny to have the rights to the product to take your time, enjoy the process and finally get those photos organized. Childhood memories and moments with loved ones are surely priceless.

(Sidenote: I did have a technical question early on and the Support Team was right there to help me with whatever I needed. That makes all the difference!)

Thank You Again,
Happy Customer

Excire is excellent software

I was having a lot of difficulty finding duplicate photos and similar photos in my huge database. I downloaded Excire and was amazed at how good it is. It's incredibly fast and accurate. I was planning to use the free download for a project I was working on, but then decided it was so good I would buy the license. Highly recommended.

Excellent and persistent support

had a very good experience with Excire support. My issue was looked at carefully instead of receiving a generic reply, and the support team stayed with the problem until we found the actual cause. The responses were fast, technically competent and easy to follow. I especially appreciated that they explained what was happening and gave concrete steps to solve it. Very good support overall.

I have used a lot of photo programs

I have used a lot of photo programs; some had some nice features while others had others...Excire Foto 2027 is an amazing complete tool that is easy to use and an enjoyable experience. I can add Folders to analyze files or a whole drive, and it just goes to work. I can identify one person and search for that person in all analyzed photos, and it just finds all pictures with that person in them. I had to learn that things go much smoother if you do all operations with Excire...it is a database driven program but even if you don't just synchronize your drive/folders and all is well!!!

Very powerful software BUT as a first…

Very powerful software BUT as a first time user it makes basic sorting/finding duplicat tasks far too complex and involved. My solution was to use Claude AI to work though step by step, and I have a PhD in IT. It helped me realise that it wasn't me! Looking at a screen with 'Task in progress' with no estimated time for completion or progress indicator, Claude suggested that the software is "Task in progress". Honestly, I bet you could get rid of 50% of your engineers and get AI to reengineer the software to make it much easier to use. The days are numbered for software with a steep learning curve and requiring users to have the time to navigate all the menus.

As a follow-up, I have requested a refund. If you are looking for software to sort and remove duplicates, AI systems (e.g. Claude or ChatGPT) can do this much faster and cheaper, and you can talk to them too.

Reply from Excire

Hi Mark,

thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your first experience with Excire felt more complicated than expected.

Your comments about the workflow for sorting and finding duplicates, as well as the lack of a clear progress indicator or estimated completion time for longer-running tasks, are very helpful. We agree that powerful software should still be intuitive and make common tasks as straightforward as possible.

One important distinction we’d like to add is that Excire performs its AI analysis entirely locally on your computer. Your photos do not need to be uploaded to an external AI service or cloud for analysis. For many photographers, privacy, control over their image library, and the ability to work locally are important parts of the product.

Of course, that does not change your experience regarding usability, and we appreciate the candid feedback. We will pass your comments on to our product team.

As requested, your refund had already been processed before this review was posted.

Thank you for giving Excire a try.

Best regards,
The Excire Team

Excire Rocks

I am so pleased to use Excire Search 2026 for Lightroom Classic.
I have multiple catalogs, spanning years and hundreds of thousands of images from jobs and personal projects that were mostly inadequately tagged. The Excire plugin has proved it’s worth!
Granted, it’s challenging to initialize so many files, but once done, the search capabilities are wondrous. This is exactly what I wanted and needed. Kudos!

Excire has saved me hours in searching for certain types of images

I took up the Adobe Lightroom Classic subscription but at that time I had over 100,000 images on my PC. It was daunting to try to update the meta data on those, it was also time consuming to add the meta data to my new images, so I did not bother. My memory was good, so I thought I did not need it. Now in 2026 I have over 700,000 images on my PC. My memory is not that good. Saw Excire on a Jared Polin Utube video and it piqued my interest. I did a little bit of research, and his claims seem to be upheld with my discoveries. So, I bought the Program and installed the Windows version to my PC. I have split my lightroom classic into 3 catalogues on dates. The biggest one with approximately 370,000 images took Excire 12.5 hours to initialize. I thought that was pretty good. I then did test searching and it was literary Taking a few minutes to bring up matches on my whole catalogue. Even using 2,000 matches required still only took a few minutes. 3-4 at most. I do have a RTX 5070 GPU with 64gb ram and a i9-14900KF CPU so it is a fairly fast machine. I am a Nature Photographer specialising in Birds in flight which results in thousands of photos on each outing. I compete at local club level as well as national and international and this has already saved me hours. I am discovering images I had completely forgotten about. I would definitely recommend Excire as it has changed my workflow completely.

Outstanding Service and one for the most powerful programmes ever used

I have used this programme for my professional work with sorting out the very broad breadth of my image collections and the simplicity and effectiveness of the system to assist in building an effective catalogue and image descriptions is phenomenal and saves me so many hours and precious time in general it is a very effective investment!

The support is fantastic and extremely responsive and even if it is small it means nothing as the team have so much pride in what they have produced and kept up to date with really great customer service of which they really listen to everything.

A huge thank you to everyone at excite for producing a high quality and effective solution to help with everyday image management.

I highly recommend this product and service.

Excire really works!

I was not sure if the software would do what I needed it to. I have thousands of videos and need to find either specific people or a set of animals. So far all I tried either ended up being massively large in terms of duplicated files and such, unreliable to actually go through my database or did not create thumbnails that were easily and quickly viewed for video files. Excire really works!

Quick and very helpful

The customer support I received was quick and very helpful. My issue started with a problem with installation (solved) and a problem with an issue that needed a workaround (which worked), and then some good advice (which I'm glad I took).

I had taken photos several years ago as…

I had taken photos several years ago as a voluntary photographer for a boat show in Naples, Fl. After sending some of the best ones to the producer, I had thought that my 'job' was complete and subsequently deleted those files.
However, a few days ago, I received a request from a local magazine for permission to use several of them and possibly others that I had shot, but to my dismay, I had recently cleaned out several of my external hard drives and deleted the original files I had taken of the show.
I didn't know if those files were still in Excire, but I tried it and I was able to take screen shots of the images and send them to her. Upscaling wasn't even needed, the screen shots were so clear.
As it turns out, by using Excire Foto I was able to retrieve useful images that I thought I had "lost."

They have a system to put you off

They have a system to put you off, but they don't have a system to find the problem. I have been trying for over 3 weeks and I am pretty much nowhere. I paid for my updated software, installed it, followed everything I could find online and Excire's response was "you must have a very special system...". I do not.

Great product and support

Excire's search tools and customer service are top-notch. I've been able to find images fast and find some I forgot even existed. They've responded to all emails I have within a few hours, which is unheard of nowadays. Great product and support!
