Dealing with them is a net loss

I filed a flood claim in Mid April for the March Kona lows.
There were initial payouts that were appreciated, before I get into the rest.
After that I got into my property loss claim, which led to two denials.
I briefly challenged each.
And then made my peace and waked away.
Then I got a phone call in mid-August directly from FEMA . And when I returned it I got told to submit one more thing and they could get to a yes on my claim.
I got them what they needed. The rep had literally said "your claim should go through after we get this" .
The other party involved said "you should be all clear".
This was after 4 months of chaos and me having ALREADY
- gone to my senators office (!!!! ) bc FEMA froze up
--spent 15 hours on this
---already walked away.
And....their system *immediately * flagged another decline.
What they are doing in their appeals process is NOT support.
It's emotional whiplash.
And that has a MASSIVE psychological, emotional, and financial COST on survivors.
Inherently, dealing with them is a net loss.
