To say the way FIDUM manage The Cube in…

To say the way FIDUM manage The Cube in central Birmingham is a woeful disgrace would pay them a huge compliment. The lack of cost management transparency is shocking and gives me grave cause for concern. When extortionate service charge figures were presented in a way that required clarificationthe Senior Facilities & Estate Manager's response was "I’m afraid I don’t have the time to do this, I have listed out what changes have been Made below." (and yes, the capital M isn't my typo). This is just one of many utterly unacceptable examples. In summary, FIDUM is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Actually, a chocolate fireguard would, undoubtedly, do a better job of managing The Cube than FIDUM.

Incompetent building management

Nothing else to say other than completely useless ! Amongst other issues, I was recently sent a very surly email with a final demand for ( in their eyes) an outstanding service charge payment after ( allegedly ) sending me 3 emails !
Not only had they sent the email to the wrong address but subsequently quoted 3 different outstanding amounts !
Unprofessional, tardy communication and applying some of the most unwarranted, expensive service charges in the City, if not country !
Considering The Cube was billed as an " iconic " building, the last time I visited my property the escalators weren't working, the signs in the elevators are worn, the windows are filthy and a probable cause for the service charges being so high is because the corridors are so hot it's like visiting a Swedish sauna !!
It's disappointing that s venue with such potential is being managed so poorly that it continually fails to attract businesses into its empty units and therefore residents / tenants don't have the use of the facilities they were promised when the building opened.
Fidum need to open their eyes to the issues surrounding the building and lots of its unhappy landlords / owners. Burying their heads in the sand will not make the issues go away.
Wake up Fidum !

Service charges increased beyond…

Service charges increased beyond inflation

Fidum is not concerned about the Leaseholders of the property it is managing. Their increased charges on the property are not backed up by the corresponding data. When we cross examine them, we do not get any correct response.

Simply they do not understand the concept value for money.

The Dick Turpin of management Companies

I have to agree with recent reviews This is an absolutely dreadful management company.

On their main web page they proudly state "managing some of the UK’s most iconic property assets such as The Cube in Birmingham". Unfortunately, since they have been managing this building, they seem intent on destroying its good name.

My service charges for a small studio have increased by more than 60% in their short tenure and there seems no end to using the tenants as a king sized cash cow. As an investor in the building, I'm finding increasingly difficult to make any income.

I do not recommend buying a property that has Fidum as the management company.

Dreadful management company…

Dreadful management company that just keeps raising the quarterly service charge with no explanation. Owners have had to set up a legally recognised group to get Fidum to come to the table and discuss concerns and provide evidence to back up their astronomical service charge increase. I do not recommend buying a property that has Fidum as the management company.

Services charges are going up and up…

Services charges are going up and up and there seems to be no commercial awareness in order to reduce these.

We’re at a point where units are becoming unsellable.

Fidum really need to put themselves in the shoes of the owners instead of this lazy tactic of doing nothing.

May as well have an AI Bot managing…

May as well have an AI Bot managing agent it'll be more productive, empathetic & efficient in handling leaseholder queries in a supportive reassuring meaningful way. But No, Fidum PM,
managing "The Cube " is a useless middle man entity who are unable to back up their claims especially in respect of one of the highest service charges in the country. The accounts are manufactured and presented buy their own in house accounts team, It's a one man band who quotes passages from the lease in an effort to nip your query in the bud and one who accepts no responsibility for their actions, they simply pass on your query to the freeholder who is equally useless. The leaseholders Investments are recklessly being allowed to erode away due to their reluctance to help, shocking behaviour and the service being provided by both, it's absolutely scandalous. They are doing nothing to help in promoting the good name of the cube. I wouldn't be surprised if theirs an investigation into their conduct, I will watch this space. Their should be laws stopping offshore companies buying assets such as the cube which has huge potential and recognition on the international stage. I think Only UK registered companies should be allowed to buy UK based assets not any old dodgy offshore tax evading companies trying to make a quick buck. This building is no different to the burj khalifa, dubai, World trade centre, USA or, The Shard, London, it's just owned and run by the wrong people who don't have any real interest in the project

Their management of The Cube is…

Their management of The Cube is criminal, so much so that it's invoked leaseholders banding together to create an association to challenge the scary number of bogus, fraudulent charges they place on leaseholders. Their management has stopped landlords being able to sell their apartments with solicitors. Please avoid any building they manage, you'll save yourself so much hassle.

UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT

I would give -10 if I could.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
They have been the management company for our building and I cannot tell you how unprofessional and incompetent they are?
We are the recognised owners group and they are clueless when you demand answers, their charges are extortionate, they do not reply with any facts as tbh, they make them up as they go along.
They are dealing with peoples livelihoods and we are paying for an inept, non transparent, useless service where we know more than them!
YOU CANNOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.
