It took numerous calls and emails to…

It took numerous calls and emails to get a correct itemized bill of lading (legally binding contract and receipt that shows services and costs - protects you from getting stuck with extra charges!)
Then only 2 of the 3 man crew showed up on move day, and one of them, it was their first day on the job. The guy in charge spoke extremely broken to no English. After numerous calls, and me letting the supervisors and billing, no way I'm paying full price when the services are not being provided. Eventually 3 other guys showed up to help pack, because the packing was taking so long with just 2 people working . Finally, the get the trailer (yes, I said trailer) loaded. Things I said to not load, got loaded, while other items were left at the old place!!! And at some point during the day, 3 of the workers left; the new guy and 2 of the guys who were sent by the company. So I'm back to only 2 guys to unload all my stuff. Some female worker showed up (apparently the 3rd to help unload)... It took the "team leader" 45 minutes to travel 4.1 miles...and I'm being charged by the hour. So he finally shows up with my stuff, and eventually gets the trailer backed into my driveway, and then they sit. Didn't start unloading the truck . They don't start unloading until billing contacts you to tell you the final costs and you pay. Nowhere in the bill of lading did it state payment is to be paid in full BEFORE unloading . One of the supervisors had reduced my final cost SOME. I DEFINITELY DID NOT GET $1150 WORTH OF SERVICE. The contents in the boxes were a hot mess, things from different rooms in the house going into the same box. The 3rd person sent to help unload my stuff, the female, sat in her truck the whole time the 2 guys unloaded everything. Why was she even there in the first place then?? My patio table is still sitting in my garage and not on the patio. I have to haul my lawnmower back to my old house to mow the lawn. Most of my furniture has dirty marks from hands and the trailer. I had to put my bed back together. They pretty much just put stuff down in my new house unless I was standing right there and told them to take items to specific rooms. Only about half of the boxes were labeled with what room the contents came from . I found cigarette butts lying around at both houses. I don't smoke.

It was a cluster F*** day from the beginning -when the new guy showed up at my house at 7am!! It was the worst move I have ever endured, especially for the cost I ended up paying .

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Communication is ridiculous. They tell you one thing, but reality is totally different. Truly a nightmare. And they are not that cheap to begin with . Go with a quality moving company.. not this "company"

Bait and switch scam

Run! This company is a scam operation that takes upfront deposits with no intention of providing the contracted service, then effectively steals your money when they fail to show up.

I contracted them for a residential move that involved two 24-foot trucks and a four-man crew. At 7:58 PM the night before my move the next morning, Michael Akortia, the area manager, attempted a blatant bait-and-switch, telling me they were only sending a single trailer towed by a pickup truck. When I demanded they honor the original contract, the lies began. We spent our entire moving day being misled about arrival times and "second drivers" that never existed. After waiting the entire day hours past our window, we were finally told by Michael only three people were available—and they never even showed up.

My wife and I were left stranded and forced to rent a U-Haul to move ourselves, yet Flex Moving has decided to keep my deposit. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, they have refused to issue a refund for a move they never performed. My "account manager," Wes Morgan, was all smiles during the sales process but has flat-out ignored every email and voicemail I’ve left since they breached our contract.

This isn't just bad service; it is theft by deception. They lure you in with a professional sales pitch, fail to provide the equipment or labor promised, and then ghost you while sitting on your payment they stole. I will be reporting them to the Attorney General for consumer fraud. If you value your money and your sanity, stay away.

Avoid Flex Storage - Scam Operator

This Pittsburgh moving company is actually a broker call center operating out of Florida. They sounded legitimate, but cancelled with no explanation the night before a scheduled 8am move. I am still waiting for a refund. Absolutely disgusting business practices.

SCAM ARTISTS!

SCAM ARTISTS!! I was told on a recorded line that I had until Monday March 24th to cancel and that I would get my 50$ deposit back. I did as such and not only did they not refund me but then charged me an additional 200$!! I was never told about any 200$ charge. I never signed anything or agreed to anything. They never even sent an email or text confirmation until the 24th. I have contacted an attorney and will get my money back!

Liars and thiefs

When I initially requested a quote on 1 February 2026, the email they sent me stated the hourly rate for two movers and how long it would take fast-forward to March 14, 2026 and it’s time to move. Their movers did not wrap my white cloud sofa that no requires extensive cleaning. My wooden head and baseboard have been scratched at which time their mover who scratched it offered to come back and sand and stain it, which is useless. I don’t want you in my home again, but the Big Bang to all of this is that I was quoted $130 an hour for moving with seven hours they charge me $50 than $200 a day before and the day off someone called me to promptly collect the $568 which was owed. I was driving and let them know this, but they didn’t care as they needed to draft it as soon as possible Saturday Sunday night while I’m finalizing the finishing touches to go to bed at 9:45 PM central standard time I get a notification that my credit card was charged $455. It said it was from flex storage I was under the impression I had already paid everything that was owed and based on my calculations, $455 was I mistake I waited until Monday and called their customer service department. The first person I spoke with immediately put in a claim moments later after doing what she recommended over the phone to file a dispute for the amount of being charged because she agreed that something was wrong. I received a message stating that there was a $358 or something of that effect service fee which I was never told about none of the quotes I was sent. Had that service be listed on there after they email me back that message I immediately called them back I spoke to another agent while on the phone with this agent. They then charge me another $32 and some cents all these charges were put through on a card. I did not authorize them to charge. All these charges were never discussed with me prior and never agreed to because they did not lay them out in there. Initial quote to me going back-and-forth and disputing this information and they email me telling me they’re going to give me a courtesy $65 for moving. I’ll let them know it was $130 per hour so what was that? $65 for it they let me know it was $65 per mover per hour. I told them that was irrelevant because there was no documentation or agreement for them to charge the card which they charged and none of the information which I sent back to them themselves had any stipulation of a service charge of 300+ dollars I’m still going through it back-and-forth with them via email but this is the worst moving service I have ever used and this is not my first time moving in Houston. I will never use them again, and I will make it my priority to tell everyone never to use them.

Flex Moving And Storage is the worst…

Flex Moving And Storage is the worst moving company I’ve ever had. The movers were lazy and ghetto. They broke my glass tv stand in my buildings elevator and swept the glass through the elevator doors. Which caused the elevator to break. They broke the leg to my dresser, and they broke my child’s tv stand. I called customer service right away during the move telling them everything that happened. They said submit a claim. I did and they denied my claim and didn’t pay for anything they broke. One of the movers also kept my key fob and never returned it.

⭐️ 0/5 – Absolute Disaster, Avoid at All Costs

Flex Moving and Storage is hands down the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I hired them to move a three-bedroom apartment in Miami. They charged the full amount upfront days before the move—and then never showed up. No movers. No call. No email. Nothing.

I had to hunt them down myself just to find out what happened. When I finally got someone on the phone after being left on hold for 10–15 minutes at a time, the excuse was that their moving crew had “called in sick.” That was it. No apology. No accountability. No solution.

Even worse, they refused to acknowledge any refund at all. Let me be crystal clear: this is a company that will take your money in full, fail to provide the service entirely, and then act like that’s your problem. That’s not a mistake—that’s either gross incompetence or outright bad faith.

Every interaction was a complete shit show. No one took responsibility. No one followed up. No one cared. Just endless holds, vague excuses, and stonewalling. I’ve since had to file a dispute with my credit card company because Flex Moving and Storage made it impossible to resolve this like a legitimate business would.

If you’re considering this company, do not make the same mistake I did. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and completely indifferent once they’ve taken your money. There are plenty of moving companies in Miami—this is one you should actively avoid unless you enjoy wasting time, losing money, and dealing with total chaos.

Big Scam

Big Scam. They have no clue what they are doing and will post unauthorized charges to your account. I ordered a truck to show up and moving me from one storage location to another in Atlanta. The truck (actually it was a storage container they brought) shows up on time (workers did not show up on time) but the truck/storage unit was too small for my move so they said they would bring another one after this one was finished and loaded. So after it was loaded (and I had to help as the supervisor never showed up) we had to wait for the 2nd container to arrive so we could finish. The driver shows up with the 2d unit but he does not want to pick up the first unit, as he does not want to drive the 15 miles to deliver it. So I have to call and call to keep telling them what is going on. We probably ended up sitting around for 2 hours waiting on the company to get their act together and in doing so they end up charging me for their mistakes. This company has no clue what they are doing and hires day labor with no experience and very little communication. The entire experience ends up costing me $1,000 more than was quoted and they I am reporting them to the BBB...

I hired Flex Moving for a local move in…

I hired Flex Moving for a local move in January 2026. I received a written estimate of $728-$923 for a move less than the equivalent of a one bedroom move. The job involved moving some items from my home to a storage unit just 7 minutes away, and bringing other items from that same storage unit back to my home. Very straightforward. The movers themselves were professional and did good work - they showed up on time, handled my belongings carefully, and reassembled my furniture as promised.

Here's the problem: I was charged $50 deposit and $200 on Jan. 12th with $705.50 on move day, which was a litle over the quoted amount but I was fine going over a few dollars. Then THE NEXT DAY, without any warning, Flex charged an additional $487.50 to my credit card - bringing my total to $1,443. That's $520 MORE than the maximum estimate I was given. For a move where all locations were within 7 minutes of each other.

At no point during my move did anyone tell me that time was running over or that I would be charged extra. N one asked for my approval. No one gave me the chance to make an informed decision about whether to continue or adjust the scope of services. I simply woke up to a surprise charge on my card.

When I called to dispute this, I was told to email their billing department. I requested escalation to management but was directed back to the same billing team. There was no accountability and no willingness to acknowledge that charging a customer 36% over their quoted maximum - without real-time communication - is unacceptable.

If you hire Flex, understand that your quote may be meaningless. You could be charged significantly more with no warning and no opportunity to consent. A reputable moving company communicates with customers during the move if time is running over - Flex does not. I cannot recommend them.

I contracted with Flex for a 2 part…DO NOT USE EVER

I contracted with Flex for a 2 part move, they arrived over an hour late, wrapped my 3000.00 inner spring mattress in a film, which caused permanent damage to the mattress. They charged me an additional 2 hours after refusing to complete the second portion of the move, literally leaving me stranded to find another mover at 4:45pm the day before New Years Eve, costing me an additional $600.00. When I logged into my email to submit the damage report and complaint, I discovered that Flex recalled every email communication that was sent to me. MY ADVICE IS TO BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND THE EGREGIOUS ACTS THAT THIS COMPANY DOES!!!!! I HAVE CONTACTED THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE, AND EVERY OTHER REGULATORY AGENCY TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE!

Avoid at all costs—Unreliable

Avoid at all costs—Unreliable, dishonest, and zero accountability.
I strongly urge anyone considering Flex Moving and Storage to look elsewhere. My experience was a nightmare defined by a total lack of communication, property damage, and a deceptive claims process.

The No-Show & Lack of Communication: After a phone confirmation, Flex simply failed to show up on my scheduled move date (Nov 2nd). They didn't call; they just didn't appear. I had to call over a dozen times before someone finally told me they had unilaterally "rescheduled" me. I was left in a packed house with no furniture, forced to spend my own money ($164+) on a U-Haul just to have beds to sleep on at the new house.

Property Damage & Incompetence: When they finally arrived two days late, the service was reckless. They dropped a $4,000 refrigerator, causing significant damage, and snapped the leg off a kitchen chair. Despite their "Veteran discount" promises and professional front, they treated my belongings, time, and me with zero respect.

The "Crickets" Claims Process: Filing a claim was like shouting into a void. For months, my inquiries were met with total silence ("crickets"). I eventually had to call from a different phone number just to get them to answer. They tried to hide behind Florida’s $0.60/lb law to avoid paying for the thousands of dollars in damage they caused.

Dishonest Resolution: Even after "Alexis" promised a small $380 settlement for the inconvenience and damage, they failed to pay it. It took a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the Texas AG for them to finally send a measly $200, which they labeled an "oversight."

Petty and deceitful: Flex demonstrated they were intentionally screening my calls. In the end, they only offered a tiny percentage of what they should have, and called it a good-faith attempt. One could only surmise their bottom line excludes integrity.

Unprofessional behavior cursing in front of a 5 year old

My daughter recently used Flex moving in Spring Hill Tennessee on a very short move to another location. Her king size sleep number bed frame was dropped and broke, Four month new washer was damaged along with other items.

The supervisor arrived and began cursing at the workers and they cursed right back in front of my daughter and a 5 year old.

They missed two dressers during all the yelling and then wanted to charge full price to go back. They were given videos and pictures of the damage and took 4 weeks to give a refund of $195.00 that does come close to damage the movers did. Michelangelo with claims was sent a written cost from sleep number of a cost of $399.48 to replace the broken section and he did not care.

All the cursing in front of customers was extremely unprofessional and should not be tolerated.

Avoid using this company

Avoid using this company! There were SO many issues!

1. They did not honor the original quote - said original salesman made a mistake and was no longer with the company. Increased the transportation fee by $150!
2. Poor communication - was always "transferred" or had to leave a message and no one ever returned calls
3. Showed up late on day of move
4. Brought a trailer that was way too small & wouldn't accommodate all of my items.
5. One of the movers was brought in from a temp agency and had never moved furniture before. The two movers argued constantly. The temp agency mover left in the middle of the job. Remaining mover had to wait two hours for a new crew (with an additional needed trailer) to show up. He did nothing during this time, yet I was billed for two movers for two hours in which zero work was performed.
6. As they were unqualified, they couldn't figure out how to move a corner computer hutch down the staircase. They subsequently scratched the wood floors by scooting furniture without any type of blanket or protection. They put deep gouges in the wood floors, as well. Broke the top wooden step and damaged the sheet rock in multiple locations along the stairwell.
7. It cost $765 to repair all of the damages. Flex only reimbursed me $130 for the damages they caused!
8. Left a part to my bed frame in the driveway. Luckily, I saw it and loaded it in my personal vehicle.
9. Was quoted $981 but charged $1,481 PLUS the cost I incurred in damages. They claim to be the most affordable but not true in the end. Do yourself a favor and hire actual trained, professional movers even if it cost a little more!
