Several years ago, having installed Ecofilm underfloor heating in my kitchen, we returned from holiday on one occasion to find that the wooden laminate floor was actually burning. Had we been away a few more days, the house would have burnt down. The after sales service was appalling. They eventually came to look at the floor. They commented at the time that it looked like a manufacturing fault but later rescinded that view and said that it was caused by water ingress. The Ecofilm had been fully protected from any water ingress with sealed plastic sheeting during its life, as recommended, and only open to the elements after the burning, during which water could easily have been splashed on to it as it was near the sink, causing the oxidation they found. They also damaged the laminate floor when taking it up and yet offered absolutely zero compensation or apology. I think the company acted despicably and I have zero confidence in their product that could easily have burnt down the house. Stay well clear.

My dealings with Flexel exceed 20 years now and I have to say, they are a company of high integrity and ethics. They have always without exception, been most helpful in supplying CBS Radiant Heating Systems with first class service.
