Use fear of loss and questionable claims to capture members for a fee.

We are well established food service company and have recently been received quite a lot of emails from foodbevg.com. They claim they are a comprehensive global directory for food and beverage companies. Yet I have never heard of them. Checking them out, they started around 2019 basically scraping content from companies web and facebook pages, then reposting them on their site. They continually send out email asking you to check, verify, and edit your listing with them for free. They then offer you a "premium" membership for a fee with secures your ranking with them as they claim to limit top tier businesses to only 2 per area, so use fear of loss as a motivator. While we have chosen not to do business with them, they appear to be just one of the many websites using questionable methods to "fool" companies into subscribing with them for little to no actual benefit. Not necessarily scammer, but buyer beware.

Fraud, scam, lies

At least once a week i get spammed by this company. Saying I have a free listing on their site. "We are excited to inform you that your business has been successfully added to our directory, the premier global food and beverage directory. Your listing is now live, providing you with an excellent opportunity to connect with a broader audience seeking quality food and beverage options."

They lie. I am not listed. I searched everywhere. Nothing on their site. Each time i get this email from them, i look again. Nothing! Clearly a clickbait scam. I won't click their links in their email.

I get the same baloney from them each time. Seems to be no way to get removed from their fraud email list.
