Ordered my item and straightaway received an email informing me of the next steps and the expected delivery date. Item was delivered by courier and they were great with phone calls and texts letting me know the time slot. Item was delivered well and product as described and quality is amazing
My delivery was fast and the guys who brought it up 2 floors were respectful and friendly. After they had left I had doubts whether the unit was the right colour as it looked much lighter than my other pieces. I contacted customer services and my email was forwarded to Rachael who agreed there was quite a difference and agreed to look into it. There were 2 different shades and the code was correct for the darker one so they offered me either a new unit or a discount. I asked if I could simply return it and she couldn't of been more helpful. We packaged it back up and it was collected a couple of days later (these delivery men were not as good and bumped the unit down every stair of the 2 floors which was worrying for us as we wanted it to return in the perfect condition it was delivered in). We reported this back and we received a full refund withing a day. So a great experience even though we ended up not buying anything!

Our nightmare with Furniture World Truro began in October 2025 when we ordered two La-Z-Boy sofas after finding they were significantly cheaper than anywhere else. Looking back, the saving simply wasn't worth the stress, inconvenience, and incompetence that followed.
We were told from the outset that delivery would take several months, which was fine. However, once those months passed, the problems began. I repeatedly had to chase Furniture World for updates. Promised delivery dates came and went without explanation, and communication was poor throughout.
When the sofas finally arrived, things got even worse. The delivery company, V1 Distribution, walked through our home wearing outdoor shoes on brand-new carpets, unpacked the sofas, left them in pieces across the living room floor, and attempted to leave behind a mountain of packaging. Only after an argument did they agree to remove it.
Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. One sofa arrived scuffed and required a technician visit. We had to rearrange our lives and wait in for the repair. Shortly afterwards, a large bulge appeared in one of the seat cushions due to a manufacturing defect. Yet again, we had to wait in for another technician, who confirmed it was an inherent fault and advised us to take the matter up with Furniture World.
Furniture World agreed a replacement was needed, but informed us we would have to wait over three more months. Once again, I spent months chasing updates before eventually receiving a delivery date.
The replacement delivery was beyond belief.
V1 Distribution arrived, removed the faulty sofa and left it on my driveway while bringing the replacement inside. It quickly became obvious they had delivered the wrong sofa altogether. When I pointed this out, the discussion became heated. The delivery crew then literally ran down my driveway, jumped into their van, and drove away, leaving me with my old sofa on the drive, the incorrect replacement dumped in my living room, and an enormous crate left outside.
As Furniture World was closed for the bank holiday, there was nobody available to help. My 80-year-old friend had to assist me in moving the unwanted sofa into my summer house for safekeeping while we brought the old sofa back into the house.
At that point, enough was enough. I requested a full refund and insisted that V1 Distribution never set foot on my property again. Eventually another courier collected all three sofas, leaving us with no furniture at all.
Unable to trust Furniture World again, we went to DFS. The difference was astonishing. Excellent communication, professional staff, a fast turnaround, courteous delivery drivers who unpacked everything, positioned the sofas exactly where we wanted them, and removed all packaging. It showed exactly how furniture retail should be done.
In total, my dealings with Furniture World generated more than 50 emails and countless phone calls. Throughout the process, I was repeatedly assured that a goodwill gesture would be offered once everything was resolved. Those promises turned out to be completely empty. Once the refund was issued, I was bluntly told that was the end of the matter.
To add insult to injury, I then had to deal with a late payment issue caused after the finance agreement was cancelled. More time, more chasing, and more stress.
Furniture World may look attractive on price, but my experience was one of poor communication, repeated delays, faulty products, disastrous deliveries, broken promises, and a complete lack of customer care when things went wrong.
The moral of the story? Sometimes the cheapest option ends up being the most expensive in terms of time, frustration, and aggravation. I would never use Furniture World again and would strongly advise others to think very carefully before ordering from them.

My experience ordering in store with Candice was excellent. They are always happy to help but also to let you look round under your own steam. As soon as I parked up they were readying the ramp so I could wheel into the store easily. This was greatly appreciated.
I have purchased various items from the Newquay store over the years and would recommend them highly.

I cannot recommend Furniture World enough, specifically Rachael, the Online Sales Administrator. From the very first moment I contacted customer service, they were incredibly accommodating, professional, and efficient.
Throughout the entire process, Rachael went above and beyond to deal with all my requests and kept me updated every step of the way. Even though I unfortunately had to cancel my order in the end, the process was handled with such grace and speed. Rachael quickly confirmed the cancellation and proactively contacted the finance provider, V12, to ensure my agreement was cancelled and my deposit was refunded immediately.
It is rare to find such high-quality customer service these days, especially when things don't result in a final sale. If you want to be treated like a valued customer, look no further than Rachael and the team at Furniture World!

We had fantastic service from this company after buying a bed through them via silentnight. Unfortunately silentnight used a highly disorganised and incompetent delivery company who had been paid to put our bed together but refused to do so when they brought it. I called furniture world who liaised with silentnight and the delivery company on our behalf and immediately refunded the delivery and assembly cost as we had to put the bed together ourselves. We recognise that problems occur but it is the measure of a quality business that they swiftly and efficiently dealt with the issue. Brilliant service. Will definitely use again and would highly recommend.

Had a really good experience at the Plymouth branch having had a faulty sofa delivered by a different company There was no pressuring or hard sell in fact they couldn’t have been more helpful generally when I needed it especially Don Johnson who didn’t mind I made three visits to be sure! More than happy to recommend this shop it makes a great change from others I’ve dealt with recently
Thank you very much can’t wait to actually enjoy the furniture now it’s arrived Well done

Terrible experience from start to finish. We purchased a mattress back in December and were forced to wait over two months for delivery. When it finally arrived, we were shocked to discover it was a floor model, despite being clearly sold to us as brand new.
After complaining, customer service arranged a replacement… only to send another floor model! At that point it was obvious this wasn’t a mistake, but a complete disregard for customers. Instead of taking responsibility, they’ve refused any form of compensation.
This has been an incredibly frustrating and upsetting ordeal. The lack of honesty, professionalism, and basic customer care is astounding. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this company entirely - you’re far better off spending your money elsewhere.

On arrival at the store we were greeted by Kevin before browsing the great selection of sofas.
Great customer service deserves a review in order to let other people know the best places to shop and that is what we received today in Furniture World.
Kevin was friendly, but professional and very knowledgeable about the furniture, without being ‘pushy’.
We left the store after ordering a new sofa and so glad they were recommended to us.

I ordered the furniture. It was delivered early. Happy with the quality. Found this to be £200 cheaper than with a competitior. The furniture just had a different name. Happy customer.

I ordered a bed in November 2025 with an expected delivery of March 2026. I had no updates throughout this time about the status of my delivery and when I called to gain an update on the delivery day I didn't receive a call back. When the delivery date had passed I contacted them again to be told the bed was stuck in a container due to the war to which they advised the delay would be significant and stated 'not sure what you want to do'. I appreciate delays happen but to receive absolutely no updates or communication is really poor and unprofessional. I have since called the order and gone elsewhere.

I had my furniture delivered. The men were lovely and even offered to help put up the wardrobe with no added expense. Fabulous service very happy :)

The worst furniture I have ever bought. Majority of the parts needed re-work as holes were not drilled deep enough meaning screws could not bite into intended parts. Some milled and drilled holes looked like they had been machined by a school class. Most pre-fitted fixings needed removing and placing in the correct position, there are quality control stickers littered over the parts but QC must be blind. Furniture World sent two left legs for one chair leaving us with more hassle, lady in the phone wasn’t interested as it was almost five and said to send an email. Would not recommend.

Dear Customer Services Manager,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding Order No. 292864.
The four-seater sofa delivered to my home has arrived with one section damaged. Photographs are attached for your review. This is extremely disappointing, particularly given the wait time for delivery.
Following your instructions, I arranged for a technician to attend my property to assess the damage. I took the day off and remained at home waiting for the scheduled visit. At approximately 3:00pm, the technician contacted me to explain that he had prior appointments in Bodmin and St Austell and would attend my address afterwards.
By 6:20pm, as he had still not arrived, I called to request an update. I was informed that he had already gone home and had cancelled my appointment without any notification. When I questioned why I had not been informed after waiting all day, he hung up the phone . I consider this highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
I entered into this purchase agreement with Furniture World, and therefore I expect your company to take full responsibility for both the damaged item and the conduct of your appointed contractor.
Please confirm, as a matter of urgency:
1. When the damaged section will be properly repaired or replaced.
2. How you intend to address the missed appointment and lack of communication.
3. What steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen again.
I expect a prompt resolution. Failing this, I will have no option but to escalate the matter further and seek advice regarding my statutory consumer rights.
I trust this can be resolved quickly and professionally, and I look forward to your response.
Or pick it and return back my money and you have to sort out a Sofa instead the one I dumped. The matter was handled quickly and professionally by the responsible employee at Truro Oliver store.
