Title: Opaque billing model and unexpected additional charges

We initially tested Fyxer as part of a seven-day free trial. After the trial ended, the account was automatically converted into a paid monthly subscription. We did not receive what we considered to be a sufficiently clear reminder or transparent notification before paid billing began.

A particular concern was Fyxer’s same-domain functionality. According to Fyxer, this feature was enabled by default and allowed users with the same company email domain to be automatically grouped under the same organization. This resulted in additional paid seats being created even though those users had not been explicitly invited or knowingly approved by our management.

For several billing periods, we were charged almost twice the normal monthly amount. We only received a detailed explanation and the relevant invoices after disputing the charges and following up repeatedly. Fyxer later explained that users may be billed as paid seats even where they do not actively use the software.

On the positive side, customer support responded to our messages and eventually refunded the charges relating to the additional users. However, the remaining subscription fees were not refunded because Fyxer stated that they fell outside its internal refund-policy period, even though, to the best of our knowledge, the software was not actively used after the trial.

After extensive correspondence, Fyxer confirmed that the users associated with the organization had been deleted, the payment details had been removed, the organization had been deleted, and the subscription had been cancelled. Fyxer also confirmed that no mechanism remained through which future charges could be made.

Nevertheless, our overall experience remains negative. In our view, the automatic conversion of the trial, the default same-domain functionality, the resulting additional paid seats, and the related communication were not sufficiently transparent.

Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Fyxer.

Love Fyxer - has totally turbo charged my productivity!

Fyxer has been a huge help with keeping my inbox clean and organized. It saves me several hours a week with the draft emails responses it composes.

Does little more than the standard Google Workspace Package nowadays. An expensive vaporware. Confusingly double-billed me and then didn't show to the customer call.

I had trouble getting it to connect and with just a couple emails back and forth they had it all up and running again! Easy and I love that.

I absolutely LOVE Fyxer-it has transformed my inbox to be something I feel I can manage and allows me to not miss important messaged that come through. Before Fyxer vital emails were getting buried in the sea of data. Now, I can prioritize what needs attention now and navigate through easier.

Fyxer delivers on its core promise of email management, drafting email replies that sit in your “Draft mail” folder for review, editing, and sending. Like many AI features, it gets better the more you use it, drawing on more context from previous emails and gaining a better understanding of your writing style.

Fyxer can also take meeting notes, either by inserting a bot into your online meeting or by being activated on your computer to record audio. It quickly prepares a meeting summary online and emails it to you (and other participants, depending on your settings). Fyxer also prepares a separate email to meeting participants with action points, which will be in your draft email box. The AI notetaker is very good at understanding audio, but other AI platforms, like Fireflies.ai and Read.ai, offer more powerful meeting tools, such as screencaptures and more comprehensive summaries.

Fyxer is an expensive service. However, I have never encountered any “metered” elements that limit note-taking or email drafting. In addition, the premium charge funds excellent human customer service, including personalized online meetings to set up or improve your use of Fyxer.

The bottom line is that if email management is your primary objective, Fyxer should receive your strong consideration. On the other hand, if an AI meeting notetaker is what you would value most, there are better and cheaper options. As for me, I have used the service for a full year and will be renewing for year #2.

This company saves me SO much time and they are quick to respond when you have a question. They are 1000% needed and appreciated in my daily business! :)

Over charging us

I had a full blown crash out when Fyxer took over my inbox but Parker helped to make it better. Thank you for your patience and help, Parker!

Maybe I missed it, but would have appreciate a check box type setup... Fyxer sent a summary to all meeting participants because the wrong box was checked. also imported a signature from an email and used it as mine. would appreciate different "tones" in emails based on recipient (friend, coworker, prospect, etc)

👎 the product sucked

I love the note taking for meetings. It has been much harder than expected to adjust to the email process. I adopted Fyxer about the same time I migrated from outlook to gmail. So some of the confusion can be attributed to that migration while also getting used to Fyxer.

Had some initial issues with being charged twice, but when I managed to get through to them, they resolved it and refunded me. Fyxer works well and is saving time, I really like how it crafts email responses, reminds me about actions from previous meetings and files my emails automatically

They had scammed me out of $2,400. Claimed people with a similar email domain signed up to my account. No warning about the incoming charges- just BANG I was billed this amount. They also assigned four seats which increased the costs- I don't know why. In the end, they only refunded half. I'd avoid this.
No support on their website, they just send you to a bot. I eventually had to complaint to the ACCC and hopefully get this company out of Australia where consumers should be protected.

My main aim was to use Fyxer as a meeting recoding tool, however it organises my inbox and makes me more productive.

Its pretty useful in organising my inbox. The draft replies were not so good, in the sense they were not very personalised, but that might be editable somewhere. Support is good

Fyxer has superior support. Tomi, Tyler, everyone there seems to be fixated (pun intended) on helping me become a fyxer expert. The patience with me is amazing. Thank you for helping me get better at this game of email ping pong.

I'm still assessing whether or not the product is ideal for my situation, but the customer service and support has been outstanding.

On average, I save 4 hours per week just in my inbox. The drafts are right on point, and the folder organization is seamless. Massive fan.
