I have used gas plus for many years
I have used gas plus for many years, for both of my boilers. They are responsive, competent and easy to deal with. Recommended.
GasPlus - incompetent and a waste of money
I had 3 GasPlus engineer visits to investigate water coming out the overflow pipe. The first one let some air out of the radiators and advised that, if it continued, we needed a power flush. I drained the system myself, put cleaner in the tank, cleaned the filter and filled it up again, repeated the process a week later but GasPlus refused to help until we got a power flush. This cost me £400 but still didn't fix the issue. I called an independent heating engineer who said it was the cylinder. Replacing the cylinder finally fixed it. GasPlus cost me £400 for nothing and lodging a complaint was a waste of time. I canceled my policy after that as it was a waste of money.

I recently had my gas boiler replaced by Gas Plus and they did a great job. The fitter (Joe) arrived on time, was a tidy worker, did a great job, was friendly, efficient and informative. I would not hesitate to use the company again or to recommend them to friends and neighbours

Good Service
In the past I have had less than good service from gas plus as they failed to find a leak on my boiler.However I must be fair and give praise when its due on Friday last week my boiler stopped working they sent a engineer who diagnosed correctly that the gas valve had stopped working as they couldnt get the valve over the weekend I was without heating but on Monday they came and replaced the valve my boiler is now working I dont think that you could better the service and time frame which the repairs were carried out.
Please avoid this company they lie and the service is awfull
I've been waiting 3 months for my boiler to be repaired
First visit we will order a spare part to fix the problem 3 weeks later no contact from Gasplus so i chased only to be rudely told the job had been canceled and no parts on order go back to domestic and general,
2nd appointment booked engineer turned up and said you actually need two parts to fix the job, 3 weeks pass and no contact so chased them up and was told they had cancelled job as i didn't answer my phone which was lie as i checked my phone records, when i challenged the lady she got very rude and said I'm going to hang up now you need to go back to the insurer, when i went back to the insurer they had marked the job as completed

The service was prompt, very helpful customer service team who appointed an engineer so quickly, they knew exactly what the issue was and was fixed in minutes- fantastic company to deal with.

Bad repair and unprofessional.
Came to repair our boiler under an insurance plan. "Repaired it", however it stopped working a day later, leaving us (including an 89 yo) without heating and hot water all weekend. Then rather than return and fix it, had the policy cancelled behind our backs without telling us, claiming boiler was too old. Should at least have had the decency to tell us they were doing that. Only found out when they didn't turn up when scheduled.
Helpful, professional and friendly
My property was tenanted but I sold it. Turns out the tenant changed gas supplier without my knowledge. Found out gas plus was the new supplier. Now, the only dealings I have had with them was when trying to get the prepayment meter ( which was in debt) cleared for the new owner. Thanks to the professional and helpful Audrey, it was a breeze. Well done!
Our experience was overall positive.
Directline sent out GasPlus to investigate why our boiler had ceased to function. Engineer identified a short in the wiring loom/fan connection due to water ingress via the flu. He told us that the parts could be a week to two weeks coming. We didn't hear anything for a couple of days so rang DL to be told the claim had been disallowed and we had been informed. In actual fact DL had left a garbled message on our answerphone. After further discussion DL reinstated the claim (the boiler had been serviced in February this year) and 10 days after the initial call the boiler was repaired and tested fully working. It's not quite clear if the original engineer or DL voided the claim originally, in any event our boiler is now working and the engineer who carried out the repair was professional and courteous. We have fitted a flume kit to prevent further water ingress as advised by DL and GasPlus.
Our only issue with both DL and GasPlus was that despite asking them to use my mobile number for contact they called on our landline which I have difficulty hearing.
